    Estimated Height/Weight:  5’4” 105 lbs
    Hair color:  Blonde
    Eye color:  Blue
    Skin color:  Fair
First Impression: Upon first looking at Erin, it is obvious that she will grow up to be a blonde-hair blue-eyed heart breaker.  Though she has not yet arrived there yet, she does get plenty of envy from her female classmates.  That aside, if someone talks to her they quickly realize that she has an extremely limited attention span.

Personality Description: Erin is not a nice person.  Seeing a divorce and growing up with Bellatrix and Beatrix did not make Erin fond of sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows.  She very seldom makes friends, but has plenty of alliances and absolutely adores her mother.  Somewhat jaded of human nature, she is aware that people take advantage of her short attention span and that there is nothing she can really do about that.  She does not have to like that though.  Surprisingly professional for a thirteen-year-old, she does very few things out of benevolence or malfeasance.  She only does things for her own gain, which can make her appear ruthless.

History:  Like the other two Dark sisters, Erin had to live through a rough divorce.  Eventually ending up staying with her mother, Erin was not old enough to understand what was happening until recently.  During the divorce though, she was young enough that the other two Dark sisters always thought she was too young or immature to play in their games, and grew to resent them.  Erin did not quite have it in her to completely separate for her sisters nor could she understand her sisters actions towards their mother.  The situation led her into some awkward situations with the twins.  This was compounded when she was sorted into Slytherin, and then lived in the same dorm as her elder sister Bellatrix. Though she is jealous of Beatrix’s metamorphic ability, she can usually when Beatrix is trying to act and look like someone else.  Because they live in the same house, she and Bellatrix have mended a few fences.  However, she does not like how Beatrix and Bellatrix treat their mother nor can she understand how her sisters adore their father so much.  This is compounded by the fact that she does not communicate well.  She and her sisters would probably work a few of these issues out, if it were not for the plethora of bright and shiny silver objects in Slytherin.  While she does take a potion for her attention span, she frequently forgets too.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?:  Like most Slytherins, Erin is ambitious.  At any given time, she has a multitude of projects going on simultaneously, most of which will never come to completion.  Though she does try to complete them, she is usually distracted by something more interesting coming along.  Her attention span is infamous, and other Slytherin students obviously exploit this weakness.  She is driven though, partly to please her mother and partly because she must just to get by.  She typically gets EEs/As in classes.

    Writing Sample:
Show your character in a scene that illustrates the
best and worst aspects of their personality. Include action, dialog and thought.

Erin was exhausted after that test.  It wasn’t that first year transfiguration was hard, it was just that all of those needles were bright and shiny.  Who wouldn’t want to play with needles rather than complete a transfiguration test?  Her mind shifting gears once more, she knew she could have gotten an O if she could just concentrate.  Stopping to pick up a knut, she examined it for a bit.  Her brain shifted back to the test, and wondered why she was only able to change it to a metal matchstick.  She had lost a large number of points for it.  ‘IT. IS. NOT. FAIR.’ she thought.  Erin knew she was easily distracted, but for the life of her could not figure out what do about it.  She clenched her fist and made a cute little pout.  It wasn’t her fault she thought of a quidditch match while transfiguring that needle.

“Oh – Are you upset Miss Dark?  Would you like me to escort you back to your common room?” a convenient NPC professor asked.
“I’M FINE” Erin returned, shouting at the poor man.

“Ten points from Slytherin, Miss Dark.  Go to your common room.  Next time study more and you won’t be so upset,” the man offered with a cheerful smile.  ‘What a jerk.  I spend more time studying than anyone else in my dorm, and I only have an A to show for it’ she thought to herself, snarling down the hall.  Remembering that staying angry at professors would not serve any of her purposes, she forced herself to relax by the time she got back to the common room.

“Hey Bellatrix,” she warmly greeted her elder sister with a smile, and then proceeded to walk up to her dorm.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:

Erin is a driven and professional student.  Unfortunately, she has no idea how to make friends or keep them, and her short term attention span does not help that either.  She is trying to get along with her family, but the sheer awkwardness of the dark family makes that difficult as well.
