[Dec. 7th] I'm Yours To Keep [Mysti, PM] on June 11, 2010, 11:05:59 PM -- The Usual Trent. --Snow was falling down in large chunks and Trent decided today was not his day to be hanging around outside. The lanky boy trotted away from the lake, back towards the castle, trying to stay warm in the cold weather. He was even wearing a long green scarf and matching mittens. He never really wore that kind of crap, but Trent wasn't stupid. Though he did walk out into the snow. Perhaps his intelligence was up for debate. The innocence of it all was rather pleasant to Trent, though. Whatever that truly meant. Trent kicked up snow as he walked and kept a blank, nonchalant face. Almost like he wasn't entertained by the snow, though he really was. Trent could be like a child at certain moments... And the snow always made him feel like one. Though he was tempted to plop down and start making snow angels, Trent decided not to freeze his butt off and continued back to the castle.Trent was quite preoccupied, though. Mainly mindless teenage thoughts. Mainly Mystique Ketteridge. Also a little bit about Georgie, but that was just, like, always. But he had large plans for Mysti... Though he didn't see her often, he definitely wished to. He never thought he'd end up liking the girl so much. His blank face broke into a smirk and he felt quite silly. Perhaps the cold was getting to him...But as Trent made his way through the snow, he felt something cold smack him in the back of the head. His hand shot up and knocked off a handful of snow out of his hair (Which hadn't been washed, of course) and he shot around to find the source. There was simply a large vast of empty snow... Creepy. Trent was so used to being the stalker, not the stalkee. His eyes narrowed and he continued to search when... THUNK. Right in the face that time. "Who the bloody hell!?" Trent shouted, shaking the ice off his face.Trent didn't play games with unknown sources. That was weird and distasteful. Plus, he had no idea where the snowballs were coming from, so he was basically put into an awkward position. And awkwardness annoyed the crap out of Trent. The castle covered in snow was one of Mysti’s favorite sights. Of course, she’d also taken some time in her viewing of the castle to make a few snow angels. Her bum was getting a little cold, so she took a moment to use a heating charm to dry off her pants. Jeans weren’t exactly the best choice for snow wandering, but she did have some thin thermals under keeping her warmer. But she was willing to risk the cold for snow. Snow was magical. There weren’t many other people out in the snow. Mysti figured they didn’t want to get cold and wet on the lovely Sunday. Then again, not everyone else would find it lovely as the Hufflepuff girl did. She did love the snow. And wandering around in the peaceful quiet of the snowy campus was quite enjoyable. Then, Mysti spotted someone else wandering around. Upon closer look, she realized it was none other than her current love interest, Trent Travis.Smiling mischievously, Mysti hid herself the best she could in the snow. She padded together a snowball, took aim, and launched a snowball towards the older boy. Bullseye! She hit the back of his head, then dropped down, giggling silently to herself. She peaked over a snow bank, and saw a confused look on his face. Mysti snuck forward a bit, packing together another snowball. She aimed for his chest this time, and launched another snowball. Except it didn’t hit his chest, but his face. She heard him exclaim something, and fell to her knees, hiding again. Spotting a pathway to go by him, she snuck around the snow towards him. Trent looked a little confused, and a little upset, so Mysti held up on the snow balls for now. Keeping as quiet as she could, she moved towards him. When she was near, she reached out and pulled him into a snow bank with her.“SNOW ATTACK!” She yelled, giggling. Mysti hoped the older boy wouldn’t be too upset at being pulled into the snow. It was just too good of an opportunity for her to pass up. She smiled at him, waiting for his reaction, and hopefully nothing bad. The courtyard fell quiet and the boy slowly began to back away. Trent was very good at hexing people. He definitely wasn't fit to throw a punch, but he was intelligent in the art of... Magical pain. As soon as his attacker showed their position, he would viciously harm them. Of course, he didn't feel like hurting people today. But Trent knew he had to be consistent... Else his life would end up like it used to be. Which was very depressing and he didn't like to think of life that way. Trent's eyes glanced around, bracing for his attacker to show. It was probably a bunch of stupid first years... Or a Slytherin wishing to die...“SNOW ATTACK!”Or some random ass girl? Panic rose in Trent as he felt himself being tugged down. He fell into the snow, incredibly hard, and groaned. A surprise attack? How awful. What was worse was that the tall boy had fallen on his face, forgetting the common knowledge of covering one's face when falling. His gloved hands spread out into the snow and pushed up his torso, shaking a bit from the shock. How ridiculous. His attacker was even laughing at him, mocking him. Trent's now-icy face pulled away from the snow, his lip swollen from impact and his cheeks red from the cold. Trent didn't feel so bad, though. He could take loads of punches to the face. Which, sadly, he has."You fat, filthy, little fuuu--" Trent pushed his greasy hair from his face, a scowl unmistakable on his features. But when he caught sight of his giggling attacker, his face softened. Mystique Ketteridge was possibly the only person who could get away with such an attack.Well, maybe Georgie. But Georgie didn't have boobs so... It was a bit hard to say.Trent sat up, onto his knees, and chuckled along with Mysti. "You think that's funny, eh?" He said, a smile finally forming on his face. That sweet smile he only saved for Mysti. He still was a bit shaken from the whole ordeal, since he wasn't used to being dragged into the snow. He felt as if he were turning into easy prey for the Badger. Of course... Mystique could play any games she wanted with Trent and he probably wouldn't argue. If she wanted him to be devoured and never to be found again, fine. As long as it was Mysti devouring him."You know what else is funny?" Trent asked, grabbing a handful of snow, his eyes surveying the younger girl. She was so cute in her lil' matching outfit. He used to hate the girl. He would call her a man, and compare her to foods, and tell her no one would ever love her-- Or was that Neely? But Trent was falling for Mystique. And though he would usually stalk and send creepy love notes to the girls he liked... Mysti was different. He balled up the snow and smiled at her. She wasn't typical. Which was quite... Attractive."This," Trent then shoved the snowball into Mysti's face. He could have thrown it, but it was always easier to just... Shove it. He laughed, flicking the ice off his gloves. She wouldn't mind, would she? Most girls would be furious with Trent. But... As mentioned before, Mysti wasn't like most girls. He tilted his head, "I'm sorry... Come 'ere," Trent widened his arms for a sympathetic hug. He wasn't looking to start a snowball fight, since he would most totes win (... He would, right??) and that wasn't fair. Plus, the two hadn't seen each other in a while. It was basically his I'm-sorry-and-by-the-way-hello hug. Also, he may or may not have wanted to drag her into the snow just as she had done to him. But once he realized it was her that had tackled him, he didn’t look as upset. She had a feeling that if it hadn’t been her, someone was in for a nasty cursing. And Mysti was thankful that she was herself and that Trent liked her, otherwise she wouldn’t have tackled him.“What were you calling me?” She asked, a small smirk on her face. “And yes, I do think that was funny.”Trent adjusted himself on the snow, and Mysti watched. She wasn’t sure what to expect from him next. The logical thing was that he would retaliate in some way. Mysti had contemplated his retaliation before she tackled him. But how he was going to retaliate, she wasn’t sure. Either way, Mysti figured it would be worth her surprising him and a little snow fight.”You know what else is funny?”“What is?” She sensed it coming. Mysti couldn’t help but smile a little. She could handle whatever he did next. And she saw it. He was making a snowball. Trent gave her that lovely little smile, which she wasn’t sure he’d ever given anyone else. And despite knowing it was coming, she didn’t run away or move.”This”And the snowball was then shoved into her face. Ok, perhaps she didn’t foresee him shoving it right into her face, but she did deserve it. She’d tackled him face first into a snowbank. Luckily, the snow was still decently soft. Mysti’s face was probably turning a bit red from the sudden cold shoved on it. She started laughing a little, and after wiping snow off her face, saw Trent with his arms open, expecting a hug.“I suppose I deserved that.” She smiled, and then moved closer to give him a hug. And with that hug, she gave him a quick kiss. “It’s good to see you.”Right now, despite the cold, Mysti was quite content. It had been a while since she’d seen Trent and been able to talk, hug, or kiss him. She supposed that was bound to happen since he’s a seventh year and she a fifth. And since her friends didn’t quite get along with him. But Mysti liked him, and so even if it was freezing, and she had snow still melting on her face, she was happy. Even if he were to pull her into the snow bank as she had done to him. Skip to next post
