Physical Description:
Chalmers is quite the charmer, good looking and friendly.  His chocolate brown eyes are always inviting.  When he smiles, his eyes twinkle and is enough to make any girl swoon. A slightly scruffy face, but facial hair kept well groomed, makes him appear a bit more manly, but also adds to the “prettyboy” look. But Chalmers is still reasonably young, and is rather proud of his looks. His hair is another thing he enjoys taking care of.  His brown locks are normally always styled, but not so much that it seems full of hair gel. Chalmers makes sure it looks natural.

He is just a bit below 6 feet, standing at 5 feet, 11 inches, and also keeps himself physically fit. Of course, having to sometimes chase after criminals or monsters requires you to stay fit. Afternoon runs keep him in the sun long enough for his skin to keep a bit of a tan, otherwise he would be quite pale.

Personality Description:
Chalmers is very outgoing, and always keeps his cool.  Things that bother him are often shrugged off, and if it is bothering him a lot, he won’t show it.  When he finds it difficult to keep cool, his attitude tends to turn a little more to the immature side. He tends to be a bit of a practical joker around the Auror office, and will often be able t find a way to break the tension appropriately.

When it comes to being on a case, Chalmers takes it very seriously. Interviewing and talking with suspects and witnesses is his forte, as people have a tendency to trust him.  He loves being able to use his looks as an advantage, and doesn’t mind doing so.  So between that and his ability to stay cool, he finds a lot of assignments to work on.

Outside of work, the 25 year old still likes to have fun every once in a while. He’ll host small parties, attend parties, or enjoy some time out with friends.  Chalmers does have a rule in regards to going out: he won’t go if he’s got an important case to take care of. Work most often comes first when he has to decide between it and going out.  This is also a reason he hasn’t been able to keep a steady girlfriend over the past few years. Being in Auror training didn’t leave much time for going out, and he’s determined to keep up good work.

Chalmers, being the friendly, charming man he is, has many friends. And when it comes to his friends, he will do almost anything for them.  Seeing any of his friends in trouble upsets him, though he won’t always how it. Also, it’s only Chalmers’ closest friends who have actually seen him upset.  He doesn’t often show his frustration, but if something is that bad, he has only a select few he goes to.

History:
Piers Holt and Cassandra Alquers didn’t have a traditional marriage.  They met as soon after Cassandra graduated from Hogwarts and she fell in love.  Piers, on the other hand, wasn’t so in love as Cassandra was.  He found her attractive and figured she would be fun for a bit.  He was rich and a muggle, but she didn’t care.  She just wanted someone who would care for her and love her. 

Unfortunately for Piers, Cassandra ended up pregnant with Chalmers before he could call things off with her.  Knowing it was the right thing to do, Piers asked Cassandra to marry him, and of course she said yes.  It would have caused a scandal had he not married her, and his family couldn’t afford any scandal. Knowing this, Cassandra hoped for the best, and continued to hold in a big secret. That she was a witch.

Chalmers Lee Holt was born August 3, 1982 and was loved by both of his parents.  While Piers was growing more accustomed to seeing Cassandra, and possibly a little more in love with her, Chalmers drew his parents together. For a few short years, the Holts were acting more like a normal family. But as their son turned seven, Piers started noticing some odd occurrences.

Magic it was, Cassandra tried explaining when Piers finally asked about these occurrences.  Piers didn’t know what to say. The more Cassandra explained about herself being a witch, and Chalmers most likely having magical ability, the less Piers wanted to do with them. More scandal that his family couldn’t deal with. So instead of divorce, he sent them to live on their own, telling Cassandra he never wanted to see her again.

Little Chalmers had no idea what was going on, and didn’t understand why he couldn’t see his father.  With her parents having already passed on, Cassandra had no where to turn.  All she had was a small sum of money Piers had given, for the sake of Chalmers, and a few names of old friends from school.  Cassandra was able to seek refuge with one friend, until she was able to get back on her feet.

When Chalmers turned 10, he was now living with his mother in a small apartment near Diagon Alley, where she worked as a barmaid.  When he turned 11 in 1993, he found he was going to be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that fall. Excited and scared, he took on that fear with a cool demeanor he’d developed for the sake of keeping his mother calm.  And that ability to stay calm and collected stuck with him, and a true trait of a Gryffindor.

In 1997, he was unable to go back to school for his 5th year because of Voldemort’s return.  He went on  the run with his mother, seeking refuge with others who were hiding. It was a long year, but in the end they survived, and he was able to return the next fall.  Resuming school, it was odd without Dumbledore, but he was able to continue with good grades.  Another honor bestowed upon him, was to be a Prefect.  This taught him the true meaning of responsibility, and he made sure not to let his teachers down.

After graduating from Hogwarts in 2002, Chalmers went into Auror training.  His grades from school had been good enough, and he worked hard.  By 2004, he was a fully trained Auror.  Working next to the famous Harry Potter was quite an experience, and was also motivation for him.  But since Voldemort and many of his followers had been killed or thrown into Azkaban, there wasn’t much conflict to deal with.

Starting in 2008, the problems are arising again, and Chalmers is finding himself busy with more work.  People have been killed, and Aurors tortured, but he continues his job.  And of course, he does it with a cool face, and the same attitude he’s had since the very beginning.  The need to protect is great, and he does the best he can.

How did you get your current job? How does your past and abilities justify your current position?:
Chalmers is an Auror, a job which requires a lot of responsibility, training, and smarts.  While he wasn’t a Ravenclaw, Chalmers still managed to do well with learning what he needed. Being a Prefect taught him how to direct others, but also keep people calm in stressful situations. A lot of thought goes into the best plan of attack when on the job. 

Going through Auror training takes a lot out of you, but Chalmers was able to do it all with flying colors.  His hard work makes him a good choice as an Auror, and having the personality he does works well with it.

Chalmers is sweet, responsible, brave, smart and just about the perfect man.  The main problem is that he’s very work oriented and loves his job. He’s grown up with a very cool and calm complexion, but that also makes it difficult for him to let too much emotion show if it’s frustration or anger.  Chalmers will be very loyal to his friends, and stands up for them at the drop of a hat.  He also has a fun side, pulling pranks, and going out with friends.
