Wand: A sturdy ten inch wand made of willow and containing a hair from the mane of a Kelpie. The wand seems to reflect the inflexibility of its owner.

Physical Description:
Eli is not your typical looking bloke.  He’s what people refer to as a pretty boy. Emphasis on pretty. With pale skin, dark cat-like eyes, and feminine lips, Eli has been mistaken as a member of the opposite sex many times. But it’s when he opens his sharp mouth and his deep voice comes out that the mistaken realize the truth. 

There is no doubt that Eli inherited his parents’ ‘short’ gene.  Standing barefoot Eli is a mere five feet and eight inches, but with shoes (and shoe lifts) he appears to be at most an inch taller. Along with being shorter than the average bloke at Hogwarts, Eli is also skinny, weighing in at a grand total of 132 pounds. What meat there is on his skinny frame is just that; meat, since Eli isn’t much of a ‘muscle-man’ and rather despises weight-lifting exercises.

Eli’s style outside of school uniform is as ever-changing as his hair color. His mood dictates the clothes he wears, as well as his need to attract attention and shock people.  Eli, on a normal-mood day, usually dresses in a long, colorful shirt and skinny jeans with shoes large enough to fit and conceal his shoe lifts.  His favorite colors are red and pink, so his wardrobe consists a lot of those colors, as well as plenty of black jeans.

Personality Description:

Eli is a very unpredictable person. Since he’s not very good expressing his feelings like a normal person would, he finds alternative, and sometimes strange, ways of doing so.  For instance, when he’s angry, instead of just saying so, he’ll either throw a tantrum and break things or stare at a blank piece of parchment until it bursts into flames.

Though he has a short, quick temper and can be very stubborn, Eli is usually easy to get along with. He loves being around people who can make him laugh and accept him for being... him. He’s a very blunt, honest person and won’t hesitate to throw in his opinion. Though he can come off a bit harsh at times, that’s his way of showing he cares.  He values his friends and protects the ones he cares about at all costs.

When it comes to romance, Eli can only smile, throw his head back, and chuckle.  He’s had plenty of experience romancing both girls.... and boys. Yes, his bisexuality is no secret and he doesn’t discriminate. Flirting, to Eli, comes as easily as breathing. He flirts with the girls. He flirts with the boys. He flirts with his enemies just because it pisses them off even more.  He flirts with people merely to amuse himself.  Eli doesn’t usually find himself in relationships and when he does, they don’t last long. The whole ‘love’ thing? Why waste it all on one person when there’s plenty of people out there?

Eli finds happiness in being that ‘crazy guy dancing on the bench’, ‘the dude skipping around in pink pajamas’... He’s the attention-seeker and the guy who just doesn’t care about what others think. 

History:

Eli Park is the second child to be born to Brian and Hyori Park, both second-generation Korean immigrants. The first child being, Jessica, Eli’s older sister by five years. Two kids was enough for the Parks to handle. Brian, a wizard, never cared much for the magical world and thus choose a career as a small-time journalist in the muggle world while Hyori worked as a sales representative at a department store.  Though both loved their children, they felt regretful that they weren’t able to spend much time with them due to full-time work hours.  Jessica was the one who really raised Eli.  She was the one who force-fed him medicine when he was sick, yelled at him when he was ornery, and wiped away his tears whenever he felt lonely. 

Eli was six when Jessica left for her first year at Hogwarts.  Saying goodbye to ‘Sica’ was just like saying goodbye to his best friend. That’s when he developed his bad temper.  Eli refused to do what he was told. He would go days without bathing, stay up late screaming and crying, make huge dirt pies with his mother’s cooking utensils, and cause havoc for his parents.  Brian and Hyori, concerned about Eli’s behavior, sent an owl to Jessica.  They knew Eli would only listen to her, and they were right.  Jessica sent a letter in return to Eli, telling him that she would only come back if he behaved himself. And that was pretty much the end of Eli’s terror run.

Four years later, Eli entered Hogwarts, relieved to be getting away from his parent’s house.  He was sorted into Gryffindor and had a good first few years, earning decent grades to keep his parents off of his back.  However, come his fifth year, Eli started experiencing, for the first time, romantic attraction. His first crush? A sixth year Ravenclaw boy who was as handsome as Eli was pretty.  If it wasn’t for his second crush on fourth year Serena Calvin, Eli would have thought he was completely homosexual. After a long talk with Sica, Eli was able to easily come to terms with the fact that he was bisexual. He was completely open about it from then on. He was never one to hide from reality.

Now in his seventh year, Eli is looking forward to leaving Hogwarts and starting an actual life. Like his father, Eli has a talent for writing and enjoys writing bizarre fairytales and other fictional stories. He’s considering making a career out of his writing talents.

As for his family... Jessica Park is currently an advertisement model for various products including Blast-Off Brooms!.  Brian is still a journalist while Hyori has quit her job at the department store seeing as she is six months pregnant with her third child.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?:

Above all, it is Eli’s loyalty that makes him a born Gryffindor.  His loyalty to his loved ones and friends compels him to fight if they are threatened in any way.  Eli is also brave in his own way. You wouldn’t necessarily see him charging a rabid dragon, but walking up to someone and planting a kiss on their lips randomly and then leaving takes some guts, as does bursting out into song and dance.

Writing Sample:

“Gee gee gee gee, baby baby, gee gee gee gee, b-b-baby baby!
Eli sang as he jumped around in circles on the couch in the Gryffindor common room.  It was eight in the evening on a rainy Saturday and Eli was feeling restless.  And restlessness in Eli’s case usually ended up not-so-good.  Either he would loose his temper at the smallest thing or decide to go pick on an innocent bystander for entertainment.

Suddenly a book flew out of nowhere near his head.  Eli watched as it fell to the ground and then whipped his head quickly to see who the evil brat was who threw it.  But all his eyes were able to see was the shadow of a fleeing figure out the portrait hole.

“YAH!” Eli yelled loudly, immediately pissed off.  He jumped down, grabbing the book off the ground. Looking around at the others gathered in the room, he spoke angrily, “I want the name of the person who threw this at me....”

Silence.

“Unless you prats want your hair singed off, I think it’s best someone answer me... NOW!”

”It was Tom! Tom Burger, fourth year...”

“Right.”

Eli’s lips turned up into a mischievous smile as he took up a quill and ink bottle and began to litter the book with obscenities. When he was finished, he gave it to another fourth year with instructions to return it to its rightful owner.

’Ah, much better! Stupid little idiots are going to give me wrinkles one day... heaven forbid! I’m swearing off children... I really am...’

Eli’s thoughts were interrupted when he spotted Victoria, a pretty sixth year, walk into the common room. A smile quickly found its way to his face as he strolled confidently over to the unsuspecting beauty.

“Oh, you are so gorgeous, Vic, it’s almost lethal the way you take a man’s breathe away.”

"Eli, I have a boyfriend...”

“Even better, sweetheart, even better! I think I have next Saturday open for a group rendezvous. What do you say, Vic?” Eli spoke in his buttery voice, running a hand through his hair and winking.

"Sounds fun, though I’m not sure you’re quite Stan’s type.... if you know what I mean.”

“Keh,” Eli laughed, “We’ll just see about that.” He placed a quick kiss on Victoria’s cheek, “Anyways, it’s a date. Chow!”

Eli turned and bounded up the stairs leading to his dorm, a satisfied smile dancing on his face.

To sum Eli up can take two words: Eli Park.  He’s a one-of-a-kind person and enjoys being that way.  Though he can’t easily express how he feels, his actions are what really reflect what’s going on inside of the thing that sits on top of his neck. As long as he can create a scene in whatever way, Eli’s happy.  He’s really a guy continually waiting for life to drop excitement and opportunity at his feet.
