She pulled her arms closed around her chest, hugging in the heat and keeping herself warm. A slow shiver, a deep breath... Beatrix Dark couldn't believe she was alone yet again. However, she felt more at ease... Things weren't so bad, after all. A little thinking time couldn't hurt the soul. Well, maybe a little. Well, maybe a lot. But Beatrix decided it was time to get over life and pick herself back up from the ruins. If that was possible for the melodramatic teenager. She trotted out of the Forbidden Forest, feeling quite proud of herself. Sure, she was only walking around and thinking aimlessly, but she was somewhere she wasn't suppose to be. Beatrix could be rebellious if she felt like it. She was afraid she'd never be able to have fun again...

Her eyes quickly adjusted to the new sunlight. She was using that strange potion that Dazmond tried on her like a Guinea Pig... The one that heightened the senses. She wouldn't go into the forest again without it. She could avoid the scary beasts that lurked inside the place. Even if she did become rather nauseated, and even if she felt much more cold with her nerves on edge, it helped her know about everything that surrounded her. That potion was very helpful to the small girl.

Beatrix continued towards the school. Her jacket fluttered around her, letting gusts of air flow through. It was freezing. Why did she always insist on wearing skimpy clothes in the cold? She would have closed up her jacket for more warmth, but she felt like she'd lose too much body heat in the process. Oh, the pains of looking stylish. Her necklaces clanked against each other and one of her hands reached up to grab onto one of them. She glanced down and paused, staring down at the key that was still (And would forever be) around her neck. A cutesy smile formed on her face, brightening up her rather stiff face (At least, lately it had been stiff. Perhaps it was merely the cold). She hadn't worn a lot of makeup that day... Small streaks of eyeliner, mascara, and little bit of pink lip-gloss.

She looked natural and free. Of course, she didn't even want to wear makeup that day, she was still sensible enough to look impressive. She still wanted guys to ogle at her. It made the teen feel better about herself. But worst at the same time... She wasn't a prostitute. She wasn't her mother... But sometimes Beatrix doubted those words.

With a sigh, she let the key fall back down against her upper chest. She ruffled her bright hair and let it fall back down against her neck. She looked nearly like how she used to when she was younger... her hair bright, silver blonde and messy. It was short and her bangs swept against her pale face. She tended to only use her blonde hair color for when she wanted to match Bellatrix or when she had to talk to an important adult... But there was nothing wrong with going back to the basics. Though she was rather self conscious about it... She would get teased a lot for her natural hair color. Then again, pink wasn't exactly socially acceptable either.

She shook her head away from her rambling thoughts and decided she didn't want to go inside. She turned around and eyed for a place to sit and think some more... Of course, the first place she looked was Vincent Pennyapple's tree. But, with a silly smile, she thought he'd get a little jealous if she were to lay in the roots of his very own tree. What blasphemy! She decided she'd simply settle against a tree not too far from Vinnie's and began to saunter over towards it. Being alone wasn't as bad as she thought... It was nice, even.

However, the girl, being known for her uncoordinated-ness, stumbled and fell face first into the icy grass. "Arrrgghh!" She groaned and looked back to see what she fell over. It was one of the roots of Vincent's tree... that goddamn tree... Beatrix sighed and checked herself over, seeing if anything was damaged. Thankfully, she only had a bit of dirt on her knees, hands, and the tips of her boots. Her pastel outfit was clean. She smiled and rolled onto her back, deciding that was where she would be settling down.

The grass was cold against her back... she cold feel her buttocks becoming wet with dew and ice. But she didn't mind. She stared up at the clouds, a silly smile staying planted on her lips. It was a good day to be alive.

Morning was not Adrienna’s favorite time of day.  She wasn’t sure how it could be anyone’s favorite time of day in all honesty.  It was so cold and wet… and morning-like.  Sometimes, like today, the sun was behind gray clouds, and everything was dim and monochromatic like the color had been sucked from the world.  From an artist’s perspective, Adrienna supposed she could see how people might find it pleasing to look at, but standing in the middle of it was completely miserable.  Except for Adrienna wasn’t standing at all.  She was running, the stopwatch on her wrist beeping every so often.  She never really understood the beeping.  It sort of happened at random, and she normally tried to ignore it.  Taking breaths through her nose, she glanced at the watch now, still keeping her rather brisk pace.  Seven minutes and she was barely over the mile mark.  She was not moving as fast as usual, and she blamed it on the morning.  Grumbling mentally, she churned her legs just a bit faster, feeling the freezing wind against her bare face.  If she had been sweating at all, it might have been frozen on her cheeks, but luckily she never perspired very heavily.

Just as she was trotting over the mile and a half checkpoint she stumbled over something in the grass.  She landed several feet away with a thud, and her knee hit a rock.  What under Merlin’s great sky was that, she thought worriedly, and she limped over to where she had fallen.  In the grass was a person, just laying there, and at first Adrienna thought she might have killed them.   Embarrassed, she leaned over the speedbump, hoping they would understand.  The girl had blond hair… really, really blonde hair that Adrienna didn’t recognize.  In fact the only thing she did recognize was the girl’s face, which inevitably belonged to Beatrix Dark, the Ravenclaw Prefect in Adrienna’s year.  They had spoken before in class, and Adrienna considered them to be somewhat friends… maybe more like acquaintances.  Well, either way, Bea probably didn’t want anything to do with Adrienna now that she had practically ruined her relaxing mid-morning meditation in the midst of her own relaxing mid-morning meditation.

“Bea?” Adrienna said, offering a hand to the girl.  “Oh Merlin, Bea… I’m so sorry.  I wasn’t watching where I was going… Are you alright?  Merlin, I’m such a clutz sometimes that it’s embarrassing…”

Sorry about the late response!

Beatrix stared up at the clouds, spotting shapes and figures. She saw a duck, a horse, something that looked a lot like Merlin riding a bull backwards and... Adrienna Hayes? Beatrix felt a sharp pain in her legs as the fellow Ravenclaw tripped over her. Thanks to that goshdarn potion Bea drank, the pain was agonizing. The girl groaned, turned to her side, and pulled her knees up to her chest. It wasn't Adrienna's fault it hurt so badly, though. She probably just didn't see her on the ground. There were plenty of snow patches and Bea WAS wearing a lot of white. Bea was too calm to blame her, anyways. Not that she would in any other occasion.

“Oh Merlin, Bea… I’m so sorry.  I wasn’t watching where I was going… Are you alright?  Merlin, I’m such a clutz sometimes that it’s embarrassing…”

The girl's eyes turned onto Adrienna and she took her hand, pulling herself up. The pain wasn't as bad as it was before, but it was still there. "No, no! It's fine!" Beatrix told her, cheerfully. She stood on one foot (The one that Adrienna didn't exactly trip over) and waved a hand in the air. Adrienna was so nice, anyways. Why would Bea ever be mad at her? Unless she kissed Vincent or something... But Adrienna wouldn't do something like that. Bea blinked a few times and pushed her thoughts away. Why would she even assume she was kiss Vincent anyways? She was much to crazy about that boy.

"I was just... Um... You know, cloud-watching. Or whatever you want to call it," Her strange smile was still on her face. She had to look out of it at that moment. Who sits in the icy grass watching clouds? In an outfit like that? Well, Beatrix Dark did but even still. She was known to be crazy... But that crazy?

Beatrix ran a hand through her messy blonde hair and glanced the Hayes girl over, "Were you jogging? In this weather?" perhaps Bea wasn't as mad as she came off to be. Or, at least Adrienna was somewhat on her level. Then again, how crazy could she be for keeping up a jogging routine even in that weather? Did she run in the rain, also? Bonkers. Quidditch was all the workout Bea would ever need.

But people didn't even need to run in Quidditch. Was she doing it to stay fit? Beatrix glanced down at her own tummy. Did she need to work out? No way... She was way too scrawny. She'd die if she were to have a jogging routine. Die of being a skinny freak. Adrienna was lucky to have a normal body. And Bea was always a bit jealous of the other girls on the Quidditch team because they were normal sized. Of course Bea believed herself to be gorgeous, perhaps being a bit taller and not as skinny would help her image. She could always morph herself that way... But then her sister would be a freak.

Not that... Bella was a freak... But... "Isn't it a little cold?" Beatrix giggled. She was mad. But at least she was happier than she was before.
"No, no! It's fine!  I was just Um... You know, cloud-watching. Or whatever you want to call it."

Adrienna only nodded, still flushed red, but maybe Bea would think it was from the cold.  Honestly, Adrienna thought Bea would be more angry with her, but after considering it, she figured Bea was just being polite.  An awkward moment of silence followed Bea's explanation.  Adrienna didn't really know what to say to someone she had just pummeled with her Nike's.  She had never been in this sort of situation before...  Bea looked at her with a curious expression, the cause of the debacle seeming to suddenly dawn on her.

"Were you jogging? In this weather?"

"Err... yeah," Adrienna reached up to scratch her head anxiously.  "I'm a little... obsessed with running.  I can't help it really.  It's just a quirk of mine I suppose..."

Yeah, I'm an odd one, Bea.  Your first assumption was correct... Adrienna was sure Bea thought she was Capitan Crazy.

"Isn't it a little cold?"

"Bloody freezing..." Adrienna laughed.  "I almost didn't recognize you with blonde hair...  It looks good, anyway."
"I'm a little... obsessed with running.  I can't help it really.  It's just a quirk of mine I suppose..."

Bea's head tilted and she studied the girl once more. "I see... Obsessed... Quirk..." Though Beatrix didn't exactly understand why someone would be obsessed with running, she nodded her head as if she understood. Nodded her head a bit to excitedly. Beatrix shook her leg and then paused, "To be completely honest, I have no clue why you would be obsessed with running," She smiled, "Then again, no one understands why I love pink. Nor do they understand how much I love Zombies. Yarrgghh," Beatrix told her, as if what she had just said was completely normal.

She tilted her head the other way. Beatrix was definitely not in her best wits that day. Perhaps not in the best talking condition. But whatever floated Adrienna's boat. At least Beatrix was calm and happy compared to the way she usually was.

"I almost didn't recognize you with blonde hair...  It looks good, anyway."

A hand shot up to her blonde locks and her smile turned a lot less silly and more... Cutesy Beatrix. "Ah, yeah. Reminds me of old times," more like, one year ago, "Thank you!" Truth be told, Bea's metamorph ability was acting a bit wanky since she had been feeling down. Plus, she looked too much like her mother with blonde hair. But the compliment was appreciated.

"So... When you run... Do you pretend something is chasing you?" Beatrix asked, casually. She thought it'd be a bit fun to run while pretending a giant kitten was chasing her. Or maybe a dinosaur. A kitten wouldn't exactly be scary, more so cute.

"I would..." Beatrix added with a nod. Surely Adrienna would understand where Bea was coming from if she was willing to run around in the cold weather just because. The only real thing Bea could relate to with Adrienna and running was that Beatrix loved to fly on a broom like a surfboard. One time her cousin Razzy convinced Beatrix to jump off a tower with him and quickly hop on their brooms and fly away before they hit the ground.

Needless to say, it worked, considering they were both still alive. And Beatrix was now secretly addicted to jumping off things just to see if she could catch herself. She just... Didn't admit that to many people.
