New Green Broom Revealed

by Niobe Thursby

A new generation of brooms has been born! The most exciting broom since the Firebolt, Sequoia Broom Makers have revealed the new Leaf.

The Leaf is a single rider broom made from the living bough of a special magical variant of the elm tree.  The boughs are harvested without destroying the tree, as new limbs grow to replace old ones.  This new 'green' magic is ecologically sustainable and part of a growing global trend towards renewable magical innovation.

Sequoia spokes person Vincent Ng tells the Daily Prophet, "The broom industry has long relied on cutting down trees to take the best lenghts of solid, unblemished wood.  But with our new 'green' magical elms, our grove can supply brooms for generations."

The Leaf's shaft is covered in a smooth, living bark.  The twigs at the tail actually are comprised of small living branches complete with leaves.

"Yes, the leaves do turn color in the autumn," laugh Ng.  "It's been the most common inquiry."

The Leaf is a leisure broom, not meant for sport or racing.  Rather it's idea for personal transport.

Caring for the Leaf requires no polish, just an urn of fresh water and a sunny spot by your window.

The only drawback? Even though the Leaf is good on your environment, it hits your Gringott's vault hard. The first production of Leaf brooms run at 7,000 galleons each.
