[April 28] Upside Down Melodies [Gabie]

on February 06, 2009, 10:50:29 PM

It was a beautiful Friday afternoon. Classes were over, and the sun was shining as bright as it ever had been. It made one appreciate where he lived, and the blessings he had. Kyle was no different, but of course he celebrated in different ways. Kyle loved the sensation of being high up in the spring air, the breeze whipping across his face as the sun shone in his eyes like a diamond in the sky.

To put it simply, Kyle was hanging outside the fifth floor window, his feet hooked on a wooden bar he had attached to the wall so he could do just that. People on the grounds were looking at him like he was a complete fool. Or perhaps a monkey. Perhaps he needed a banana to eat to make the scene perfect. Alas, Professor Gunnar was rubbing off on him.

With a flick of his wand, Kyle turned on the magical music player he brought along with him everywhere and starting blasting some rock n' roll. He was in a rare, and good mood. But that's was fine. He wasn't wearing his leather jacket for once, but just an undershirt and some cargo shorts. His shoes were missing, they had fallen off once he had gotten in his hanging-outside-the-window-upside-down-position, and he was enjoying life too much to care. He began playing air guitar... in the air! So fitting. He looked like a air guitar playing monkey.

"CAUSE I'M TNT!" He shouted, "I'M DYNAMITE!"

With lessons finally over for the week, Gabby had decided she had the time to make a little, practically forced contact with her father. If it was possible, Gabs wouldn’t bother at all, she’d ignore the fact he existed for the time she was at school. It was all the easier that way. But it was this time of year she knew he would most probably need the contact.

This was why she was making her way down the fifth floor corridor, a very short letter shoved in the pocket of her robes which flapped around a ridiculously short pleated skirt. As she walked past a classroom, the girl almost jumped when the music suddenly started blasting out from it. She stopped in her tracks and gazed through the window to see a rather odd sight indeed. A boy’s feet, hooked around a wooden beam.

Frowning, Gabby pushed the door open and stepped in only to hear Gibson shouting at the top of his voice. Her eyes widened as she dashed over.

"I'M DYNAMITE!"

Reaching the window sill, Gabby leaned over to look down at him, a small grin on her face. “You’ll be dead dynamite if that beam breaks from the excess weight.” Even with the weird situation, Gabby found herself grinning like a stupid little girl. But crushes did that for you, didn’t they? She gazed down at him, twisting her wavy hair around her fingers. She would have put more mascara on if she’d know who she’d be bumping into!
