[Nov. 9th] Rule # 1: don't stop me if I'm going too fast, merely cheer me on! on April 27, 2010, 05:06:05 PM [Around noon--- Erin Harper, PM] [Outfit]Trent wasn't a fan of being outdoors, really. But every few weeks he trotted outdoors to visit the lake and write. He had pictures of the water posted up about his bed (Right next to his old pictures of Ollie Foley) that tended to go unnoticed. He and his dormmates had grown rather distant their final year. Which, as much as the boy hated to admit, depressed the hell out of him. He hadn't ever had friends, really... Easy come, easy go, Trent assumed. He was growing used to being abandoned. The boy-- Or really, man... His eighteenth birthday had passed exactly a month before. Happy Birthday, Trent, you received nothing. But that was merely HIS fault. Well, the boy pulled his trenchcoat high against his neck and he kept his tattered notebook close to him. He had been writing in the notebook since the beginning of his sixth year and his pages had filled up. He found himself writing in the margins... Writing over his writing... It wasn't like he looked back and read it again. No, never. Trent hated his scribble, anyways. He silently hated every aspect about it. Luckily, no one knew of his writing. After a few moments of gazing at completely nothing, the Slytherin sat down at the base of a tree by the water. It was calming, but still utter bullocks in the eyes of Trent Travis. But he was happy... Girls were actually TALKING to him. And he was so much closer to leaving Hogwarts... To be on his own... To be a photographer, like how he always wanted (Though thoughts of "Trent and the Showerheads" still popped into his mind... But music was bullocks and he'd never join a band). Trent rested into the cradling roots of the tree. It reminded him of the time he sat around waiting for Ollie Foley to come out and sit by the Forbidden Forest... A very good day for Trent, indeed. The tired boy smiled, warily, at himself. Still daydreaming about Ollie like she was still there... Still wishing Jasper would show his head soon... He missed his sixth year of Hogwarts. Everything was moving on so fast. It was for the best, at least.Trent pulled his notebook close to him and stared down at it... It was filled with nonsense and beautiful poetry and... Not so beautiful poetry. He could vaguely remember what he had written in the thing... Trent reluctantly opened the notebook, its menacingly filled pages glaring at him. There, in the middle of the first page, read something that made Trent raise any eyebrow:"Waker Nolan is hot. I'd TOTALLY pull my wand out on her, if you know what I mean."Strange... He could hardly remember being infatuated with her. But she DID hang around Jasper and him. Trent smiled and stood up again. What a great thing to have with him... He could always go back and read his thoughts from when times were simpler. His smile faded and he chucked the notebook into the dark depths of the lake. He could get a new one... He didn't want to read about his stupid thoughts, anyways. They were probably all about how he and his friends caused so much harm and mischief... Suddenly he felt bad for throwing that away. But he simply watched it sink down and be splashed around by unknown forces. He felt much more alone than he was before. Reply #1 on April 27, 2010, 05:36:02 PM Fortunately, or unfortunately, for Trent, he didn't have much alone time left. Erin Harper was rounding the edge of the woods and headed for the lake, and he didn't give a shite about anyone else's angst. He didn't even give a shite for his own. Watching the ground, trudging along, Erin didn't notice his housemate until there was only a few yards between them. Trent hadn't noticed him either; he was watching something in the lake, close to shore. Something... fluttering and pale? Erin automatically turned his head to see what Trent was looking at- but- no- it was gone now. But the bloke was still staring at the lake, all forlorn and ridiculous. Well. Doubtless his black jacket and jeans made him blend in with the really not blue-and-black withered grass like some sneaky trouser-wearing bandit, but it was time to announce his presence. He wandered over to stand next to Trent with a casual, "You look like a kneazle's got you by the prick ring, mate." It was basically a cliche hallmark card moment for the poor boy. He heard quiet steps behind him and he bit his lip. Hopefully they'd pass right by him. He needed to take on that moment... Like he was destroying his life. Oh, the sick, sick thoughts that went through his head. But then the person stopped and spoke up to him."You look like a kneazle's got you by the prick ring, mate."Trent quickly turned to the voice, his lips parting to return the remark with a snide answer... But it was merely Erin Harper. Strange how the boy could waltz right up to him and ruin his destructive train to suicidal thoughts... And the make him smile his creepy smile. "Ahh, that's just me, Erin," he chuckled and ruffled his hair. He hadn't showered that day, but his hair wasn't greasy yet... He would have to give it a few more days. With all that aside, Trent couldn't help but agree with Erin's statement. It was... Well... A perfect way to describe Trent at all moments."What're you up to then?" Trent asked, politely enough. Erin Harper was a rather funny guy... Slytherins tended to be Trent's favorite people. Besides, well, Hufflepuff girls. But they were merely teases to the dirt poor boy. Anyways, Trent had experience chatting with Erin. Usually joking and small chatter. Nothing big. Erin would also probably stick around in the common room while Trent and his friends horsed around, like many other younger Slytherins. It was simply common. And yet... Why was Erin running around outside in the cold? Perhaps they both weren't in their best wits that day. Erin smiled at him a little, not necessarily a sympathetic smile, but full of good humor. "Nah. You've never got a prick ring." This gentle teasing wasn't his usual thing, but Erin was nicer to those he liked. Trent happened to fall into that category. The bloke could do with a shower a little more often, but Erin, who had the less-than-always-exact hygiene of the average teenage boy, couldn't really throw stones there. "What're you up to then?""Not much. Wandering about." He jerked his head back towards the Forbidden Forest."Took a walk." Erin cast a long look towards the murky water in front of them, where the white thing had been drowning, then flicked a glance back up at Trent from the corners of his eyes. Dryly, he said, "You realise it's a bit early to be throwing away class notes." He wasn't serious, of course. That is to say, he didn't think whatever Trent had been watching had been class notes, although he could easily understand the motivation behind wanting to throw one's work in the lake. In fact, he made a point to do exactly that at the end of every year. Still, he only half-expected Trent to answer him, and even then Erin didn't expect Trent to be truthful about it. What did that even mean? Was that a compliment? Trent laughed and sent another smile down at Erin. "If you say so, mate," He said, still not knowing exactly what he meant by that. Trent always seemed to be, well, angry and depressed. Of course, usually he was... That was the Trent Travis way. Or was that his creepy side? He knew for a fact that people used him describe the levels of creepy with other things. 'Is it... Spider creepy... Or Trent Travis creepy?' His smile widened at that thought. People were stupid. They really knew how to make the guy laugh. "I'm sure the rest of the school would beg to differ," another laugh escaped his lips and he turned back to the spot where his notebook sank. It was all the truth."Not much. Wandering about. Took a walk."Trent looked back and followed Erin's head jerk to the forbidden forest. "You're crazy. In this weather? What's wrong with you?" Trent joked and let out another laugh. He didn't know much about Erin, but after witnessing Trent throw his book about and stand around in the cold probably wasn't that... Well... Smart, either. Trent didn't expect Erin to tell him why he was wandering on the forest. Perhaps he just wanted to be alone... Or maybe he was having personal problems. Trent didn't know him well enough to really ask. Though it did perk the boy's interest. He was in a good listening mood. Though he was usually an awful listener."You realize it's a bit early to be throwing away class notes."He chuckled and looked back over at the Harper boy. "Are you kidding me?" He acted like he was offended, as if he would never throw away his notes. "I don't take any bloody notes in class," he admitted, his joking voice coming back into place with his grin, and turned back to the lake. Trent wasn't willing to even pay attention in class, let alone take notes. Who did Harper take him for? A student? Heaven's no! Trent was amazed to even be passing his classes. Well, sort of. He was quite average. He was going to inevitably fail school and have to start the year over, like George Carter. Who was a good guy nonetheless."It was just some notebook I had been writing in since last year... Full of, um," Not poetry, that was for sure! "Just stupid crap... Like the girls I fancied and whatnot. It's all a load of bullocks, it is," but it was Trent's bullocks. And he usually enjoyed that kind. But it was all true. He spoke about all the girls he preyed on. If one were to flip to the back, it would mainly be about Mysti, the middle, Ollie Foley, and in the beginning... Well... Any girl, really. Ainsley Gairden was mentioned more than once, and Fauna Blake, definitely. But they weren't girls that Trent really liked being around.
