It's all about the Atomosphere, open

on April 21, 2010, 09:32:14 PM

Monday, November 17 Mid afternoon

Scirey was free. She had worked an early shift at Obscrous Books, open the book store, stocking shelves, and sketching ideals for the latest cover she was commissioned to draw. She was having difficulty in coming up with ideals so after her shift was over, the young artist collected her art supplies and went in search of a muse. She was strolling passed the store front of the music store when something inside caught her attention.  She had frequented the store on a number of occasions throughout her life, mostly because her siblings liked music. The store tended to be far too popular for Scirey's taste. She was  never one for loud noise but for some reason she seemed drawn to the store that day and before she knew it she had pushed through the door sending a tinkling charm to go off.

Scirey glanced around the rather spacious first floor taking in the large bins and different displays. She began to wander through the store, smiling at the few people who were in there. She was thankful it wasn't summer, too many kids.

Scirey found a nice, rather empty corner next to one of the windows. It gave her a nice few of the interior of the store. She felt safe with the wall at her back and the door in her view. Scirey settled down cross-legged on the floor and began to arrange her art supplies in a circle around her feet.

Scirey slipped open her sketch book and began to draw with a stubby looking quill. She knew it was odd, and maybe forbidden, to draw in a store but at the moment she didn't care. She was feeling particularly brave, and well silly that day.

She had been back in London for about a month, and Anna felt as if she was finally settling into life among England’s Wizarding community.  There had been no rumblings yet from immediate family and the longer she could put off that reunion the better in her mind.  The last thing she needed at the moment was stress caused by unwanted reminders that the past was never truly left behind.

Wilton had been busy getting the new shop set up, leaving her with little to do after work that day aside from wandering down Diagon Alley taking in the familiar sights.  Reducto records had been one of those places she had frequented as a teenage during her visits with her extended family and a smile crossed her features at seeing it still in business.  A bit nostalgic she opened the door, wandering into the familiar ground floor.

She took a minute to look around, occasionally stopping to browse a title or two.  There was a couch in a back corner and she smirked as she could almost see the teenage version of herself leaning against an old school crush listening to music together.  The horribly lanky curveless girl in the picture in her mind might have been long gone, but the memory was still strong.

Moving around another corner she nearly tripped over another woman who had seated herself on the floor near a window.  Having seen her just in time, she managed to avoid making the tragic mistake of stepping on the younger woman who was holding a sketch book, and give her a slight smile.

“Sorry, I didn’t see you there,” she said.
