[Nov 12] Well, this is awkward on April 21, 2010, 06:05:51 PM Outfit~Too cold to go outside, but too hot for it to snow. There seemed to be absolutely nothing to do in this school, besides walking aimlessly around. A thought pranced itself across Cait's mind. You know what she wanted right now? To be in the sun. Just lay there with nothing to do until class started. Hell, she could get some color to her naturally pale skin. Wait a second.. there were small noises coming from behind her. She swung around, her hair flailing wildly into her face. That door.. it wasn't there before. "Sweet.." she mumbled, realizing exactly where she was. The Seventh floor was awesome.Cait quickly trotted over, looking around to see if any students had seen anything. 'I hope there's a bathing suit in there..' she thought, quickly entering the doorway. As soon as she entered, she could smell the sting of salty air in her nose and the overcoming warmth on her back. It spread along her shoulders and through her jeans. This definitely felt like heaven. She closed her eyes and turned slowly, the sun creeping over her skin. Cait opened her eyes: White sand, blinding sun. A little ways up from the edge of the lapping waves was a small beach campsite: a blue and green polka-dotted towel, a matching umbrella stuck awkwardly in the sand, a solid black two-piece bathing suit on the towel, and a small "changing room" a few meters away. Cait galumphed over to the things the Room provided with her. She scooped up the bathing suit and tripped her way over to the cloth changing room. Best way to spend free time? I do believe so. He could almost remember the last time he was walking around that particular hallway... He had cake in his hand and was bored and accidentally walked into Charlie Robard's singing like a fool. What a great day... Today, however, wasn't as great. Since he had been shuffling around for so long, he was about to give up and go to his dorm and write lame poetry. Trent had an awesome life."I want something to do," Trent moaned and scratched his greasy hair. Just then, something began happening to the wall... A door began to form... Wicked. Trent found the room of requirement once more. Deja vu. Hopefully someone would be hiding away in there again... Hiding away to be found by a very devilish Trent Travis. Oh, they were in for a treat. The boy opened the door and was instantly greeted by light and sand and... Was he in some sort of fake beach? THIS WAS BULLOCKS. Beaches were bullocks! It was quite amazing how well the special room was able to make everything seem so real and just as awful. Who the bloody hell would want to go to the beach? The freezing lake was just as gross and unpleasant. Though he wouldn't mind swimming with the squid every once in a while...His eyes landed on a towel and umbrella set up not too far away and he shrugged. He had something to do, after all. After removing most of his clothes (His boxers were still on, of course) he sat down on the towel and lazed back. He hated beaches and sun and sand, but there was nothing wrong with lying to oneself every once in a while. She loved being a witch. It was like having mostly anything you wanted at your fingertips. Need a pencil? Turn your cat into one! Want that cute boy to love you for all eternity? Brew a potion! Want a SUPER AWESOME BEACH? Go to the Room of Requirement! She folded her shirt on top of her jeans, and placed her shoes and socks on top those. Cait figured they'd be safe inside the changing tent. She wrenched open the curtain and breathed in slowly. Yeah, this was the life. What could she do first? Maybe swim? Or maybe lay on the towel and get some-Oh.. dear. Cait stopped breathing for a moment, now pausing in place. Apparently, this Irishwoman had forgot to mention she didn't want anyone to find this place. And now.. a very pale boy was laying on her beach towel. Not like she had any room to talk, she was practically glowing in the sunlight.Cait turned right back around and closed the curtain quickly, folding an arm over her stomach self-consciously. She could just stay here until he left, that.. Trent fellow, or whatever his name was. At least she partially got her wish. Like her father always said: A half a loaf of bread is better than no bread at all. There had to be someone else in there... Did they somehow drown in the fake water or pass out in the sand a few meters away? Trent quickly checked around him before discovering his prediction was wrong. Too bad... He would have had fun with a drunken professor or a sunbathing beauty. Of course, the wouldn't be having fun, now would they? Seeing Trent Travis could damper any girl's day. There was noises coming from behind Trent and he quickly shot up. Ah, crap... There WAS someone there. The body-conscious boy quickly grabbed his shirt and pulled it on before whoever it was could see his scrawny self. No one had ever seen Trent without any clothes on before... Not even his dormmates. Trent then pulled on his pants and backed away from the tent... Why didn't he guess there was someone in the tent? Trent was smart in his own ways, and usually his common sense didn't fail him. It was his Professors that usually did that."Hello?" He finally called out, not sure whether he should get ready to hex someone's ass or be his normal creepy self. He couldn't tell who it was, of course, and it always depended on the person. Trent pulled out his wand and silently made his way towards the tent. It reminded him of the time he and Jasper were out playing Wizard Paintball with a huge group of students... Only this time, there was no trees he could climb and be utterly creepy in."I promise I won't hurt you," he lied and stood at the side of the tent, his gaze never leaving the opening, "Who's there?" Trent asked, even though that was probably the question he should had asked in the first place. A boy had some into her little vacation spot, and heard her fumbling about. He probably wasn't going to leave unless she came out. Should she walk out? Or just talk to him through the tent? Maybe she should get dressed, but he might think she was a banshee or something and curse her into oblivion. She was beginning to think that this wasn't the greatest idea after all. Cait cleared her throat daintily and spoke up. "Uuh.. Jus' me!" Her voice quivered, "I don' mean any harm. I'm jus.. wasting time. Yer free to leave!" Maybe he would leave? That seemed fairly unlikely, seeing as curiosity always got the best of her. Why wouldn't it get the best of him? Cait peeked through a crack in the cloth door. "Oh, dear." she muttered, clenching her things to her chest. "Wands aren't nessicary," she squeaked, poking her head out of the tent."Hullo," she laughed nervously, digging her toes into the cool sand. The young Ravenclaw looked him over: Pale, not so different than her. He seemed rather dashing, of course she always had a thing for dark haired men. It's sort of a natural thing when you come from a land of freckles and red hair as far as the eye can see. Now the only thing this lass was hoping for was a quick sorry, an awkward stare, and for him to scurry on his way. It was a girl, at least, so he wouldn't have to viciously attack her. However, how the hell would he know who "Jus' me" is? Did the girl know him? He didn't recognize the voice, so if they had met she definitely wasn't memorable. Perhaps she was hideous... A dog face... A girl that Trent couldn't imagine himself with (Then again, that was how he originally felt about Mysti, and look where he was now with her). What annoyed him the most, though, was... Who responds to someone like that?'Hello, I'm Professor Travis, who might you be?''Oh, you know, just me.'Professor Travis? That nearly made Trent laugh. He'd never stoop so low as be a professor... What would he teach, anyways? He already planned on being a photographer when he's out of school and he'd try to become famous and make all those dumb students, who said he was going to end up in Knockturn alley last year in the yearbook, jealous. They were all lucky that Trent had no idea who they were."I don' mean any harm. I'm jus.. wasting time. Yer free to leave!"Of course he was free to leave. Trent tilted his head, a small smirk forming on his lips. He came to the conclusion that he terrified the girl... Then again, what girl DIDN'T he terrify? "Uh-huh... Right," Trent stood his ground. He didn't usually respond well to people who asked him to leave. He had every right to be there... Trent sighed. He wasn't going to hurt the girl... He'd never hurt a girl... Neely Woolfolk wasn't a girl, she didn't count."Wands aren't necessary,"Ah, right... Trent stuffed his wand into his pocket and nodded. "Alright... I said I wouldn't hurt you, didn't I?" But he stood his ground even still. He hadn't even gotten a glimpse at her face before she hid away again. Lordy she was frightened. Besides the boy's height, there was nothing real scary about Trent... Well, maybe his overbearing, creepy persona was one of the reasons. Finally, the girl showed her face. Trent had never seen her around before... Was she a fifth year? He couldn't tell her age... Or her house... Or anything. His brow furrowed and he nodded, "Hello... Um..." His head tilted to the other side, "I'm Trent," and then his creepy smile fell into place. She was a cutie... Perhaps Trent could convince her to go on a date with him. She could feel him watching her, like he was sizing her up to see how many stews he could make from her. She reckoned it wouldn't be many, seeing as she's all skin and bones anyway. Or maybe he was a womanizer and wanted to brainwash her into feeding him grapes at his bedside while fanning him!No, that couldn't be it. That's just utterly preposterous."I'm Cait.." the Ravenclaw muttered, trying hard to avert her eyes away from his. Her quick glances in his direction told her that he was older, definitely not a third year like her. He was too tall and too scary looking to be young. He must be a Seventh Year, maybe Sixth at the least. "So.., uhm.." Cait mumbled, digging her toes into the sand, "What brings you 'ere?" That had to be the most ridiculous question she'd ever asked. (Well, it couldn't be more ridiculous than her 'just me' reply.) What else would someone be doing at a beach! Hunting Doxies? The only plausible reason was he wanted to spend some time in the sun... or hunt little girls. More than likely the first of the two.. hopefully. Skip to next post
