Physical Description:

Cam's physic is rather fit and slender, but insists on keeping himself clothed for the most part. Discretion is highly important to him.  Working out on a regular basis helps with his body shape. His belief is that, a fit and in shape body will never fail in an unwanted fight. A healthy body creates and supports a healthy mind. His skin is not pale, more of a fair color but going out into the sun is not really a main priority of his. He rather sit in the common room and read, listen to music, or be social with other students. Besides, most activities outside require your shirt off and he rather women like him for his brains and intellect instead of how he looks.  Although he is fit, he is still a slender guy. Slender and an inexperienced fighter, others may step over him and he does nothing about it. Fighting has never been a strong suit and he avoids it at all costs.

His hair is dirty blonde. The length is just barely below his ears with bands laying in his face. A constant, annoying, and stylish flip of the hair removes those locks from his face. Although, it is a never-ending task of flipping and looking as if he is twitching motion, he keeps his hair in his face. Distracting himself from the many distractions around him, it helps with his concentration in study. His hair is longer because he likes to hide his eyebrows. They are darker then his hair color and the fact that they stick out bother him.

His eyes are bright blue. Most may call them baby blue but he insists that they are light blue and nothing more. Baby blue just seems unmanly and honestly it makes him blush when a woman says so. Something about a woman looking directly into his eyes makes him nervous and excited. Probably the only aspect Cam really likes about himself is his teeth. Cam uses mouthwash, floss, and extra-white toothpaste on his pearly whites. Coffee is a killer on his teeth and he drinks a lot of it. Thankfully his cleaning ritual everyday prevents the unwanted stains left by his partner in crime. His study partner in crime that is.

Personality Description:

Cam is probably one of the sweetest guys anyone will ever meet. His heart is sometimes to trusting and to big for others which is making his relationship life rather frustrating.  A flaw he wishes to gradually get rid of. Feeling are irrational and trust is as well. People lie, cheat, steal, they do whatever they can to get what they want and Cam knows it. He wishes he could use his mind over emotions but he is human and cannot help it. Perhaps feelings are better left unattended rather than a main priority. Feelings are good for nothing but to get one into trouble, he knows this, thinks and believes in it even, but acting upon it is another story.

Whenever he gets sad or has something bothering him he picks up a book and ignores the problem. Sadness is weakness and needs to be tamed.  Cam likes to think that if a person develops understanding that others have it worse and his problems are nothing to complain about, then it is not a big enough deal to get upset about. Death, could be the only source of true sadness, and therefore the only reason he should allow himself to be saddened.

Cam prefers to study, but when opportunity to socialize comes up he does not deny it. People are the drive in life, they bring us together, bring us happiness, and bring meaning to life. Although he is stuck in his books, understanding the world and the irrational things within it, he truly believes that people are what matter in life. Knowledge and books have actually taught him that.

However, he seems quiet at first with those he does not know. He is surprisingly a talkative and opinionated person. A downfall of his personality is the fact that he is opinionated. Some arguments and fights tend to happen when he becomes overly passionate about what he is saying to another.

Besides his love for books, his personality surrounds the muggle music he listens to. He loves it, wishes he could study the music and perhaps play an instrument. But studying and school work are far more important to his parents than his silly desire for music. Music changes his moods. It helps him feel confident in himself when music is powerful and exciting. When it is calm he calms down. This can be said with almost everyone but the one thing that differs is the fact that he needs it to study. It gives him concentration and if he forgets something, all he has to do is play the song in his head and he remembers what it is. He associates his studies to music, sort of an internal study guide.

Although he has coping mechanisms for sadness, anger is a big issue for him. All of his feelings building up inside of him seem to burst out at those he cares about. You may say Cam is a bit bi-polar, but he tries to manage it as well as he can. Instead of hitting someone that is annoying him or making him angry at the moment, he hits a wall. Many visits to the school healer can prove that fact, and its becoming harder for him to make excuses for the many broken bones in his two hands.

History:

Cam's father is English and his mother is Irish. Cam comes from a good line of wizarding family.  Although he is half blood he considers is father's side of the family a very respected but also considered under-the-radar. His family did not make horrible mistakes or really have any "rotten apples" but they also did not put themselves in the line of danger unless absolutely needed. His father is a half blood and his Mother is a muggle. Although his mother is a muggle she is far from weak. She works in the muggle world even though she does not need to, his father makes enough money and they have enough saved up. She works for a construction business, helping with planning and constructing architecture. His father works for the Daily Prophet as an editor. Not the tip top job his father is capable of doing, however, he loves the job and the pay is not all that bad.

Growing up he was nothing but a little trouble maker. His father understood that children are often mischievous but his mother hated it. Cam knew about magic all his life. How could he not? His father worked for the wizarding world and had book upon book of wizarding affairs that helped Cam get an early start and understanding for the world he was looking forward to entering as a student. School seemed to far away and he could not wait to reach that destination. Visits to Diagon Alley and such places were amazing but he wanted to learn, to find his potential.

His first year at school he probably had about 10 detentions. Desperately trying to fit in, he found himself in a group of young Ravenclaws that liked to play tricks. This childhood mischief went against his better judgement but he ignored his feelings to fit in. Coming to his third year he gotten to know a lot of people and made up his mind that others will not influence him. He started to stick by what he believe to be right and never looked back. So detentions were now a thing of the past and the good boy came to be. 

When Cam was 14, his mother died in a car wreck. He kept to himself his 4th year and did not speak to anyone for the most part during that time. He read, listened to music, did anything to keep his mind off the thought. He tried to convince himself that death happens, so he should not be saddened by the inevitable, but that is a front he puts on, and only allows himself to feel grief and sadness if someone dies. His father was never the same after his mother died and he wouldn't blame him. His mother was his father's life and without her he was nothing.

But through all those years Cam had promised himself to live life to the fullest. To have fun and not care what people think about him. He promised to do something great with his life, to make his mother proud and love the boy she helped raise. Cam wants to be a powerful figure, to make a difference, but he knows it is a long-shot. Regardless, he is determined to work hard in school, get the best scores, and get an amazing job to make his father and mother proud. Perhaps even get his family name up in the air and remembered.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Cam's life is to study and acquire a high positioned job to help others. His thinking and personality is derived from the books and ideas of others rather than the irrational and emotional standards others maintain. He has a love for life and is friendly with everyone, even if he has his moments when getting excited and defensive on an opinion.

Writing Sample:
Cam started to feel the stuffiness of the common room, his much loved place of study, and decided a little fresh air may be nice for once.  Walking to the common room door after shutting off his music, Cam climbed out into the hallway. Staring at the ground as he made his way around the castle, lost in thought. Father wrote a letter Cam, read it! Don't put it off and ignore it, it could be important. However, father only writes bad news. Better to have no news than bad news....

His thoughts raced, jumped, and wondered, so finding himself on the grounds was rather surprising. The day was clear and it was warm enough to wear just a simple cloak. His of course, was black. Most wizards where but it would be a surprise to see him in anything else. Black suited him, it was fine. It was professional and did not call for uniqueness.

Finding a little quiet place away from most of the students he sat down on the ground and leaned against a tree. Closing his eyes he took a deep breath, relaxing was hard to do in the common room. Most people see him with a book or two out here or with a friend or two, but he was wanting to clear his mind from studies and constant reminders of his mother. Everything he owned reminded him  about his mother, she ironed this old shirt once, or she gave this as a gift once.  Flipping his hair out of his face opened his eyes for a moment. Looking up at the sky and clearing his mind of everything. He was almost in a trance and he actually liked it a lot. Being lost in his mind without working things out was a nice change.

His mind drifted off for a moment and he was almost into sleep. It would be the first time in a few days he actually got a decent rest. This would explain why he didn't hear anyone coming up to him. If they were there to hurt him so be it. He was far to tired to care at the moment. A loud crack was heard above him. Jumping up quickly and seeing a squirrel looking down at him, head cocked to the side and almost frozen looking. "Sneaky little rat." He grinned. "It's okay, I won't hurt you." But the squirrel ran up the tree and out of site into it's little home within.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:
Cam is an altogether good person. He wants to better his life and help others in his future. Regardless of the loss of his mother he wishes to make her proud. If that means that he has to study to get where he wants in school rather then socialize so be it. But don't think he refuses to socialize, he just prioritizes. His love life is non-existent but he hopes for a relationship if it is right and worth the trouble he knows it will bring.
