From the eternal sea they rise on March 18, 2010, 02:35:59 AM After a little while of break, Lydia was finally back in Hogwarts. She and her family made a trip to Alaska where she was visiting her aunt and unlce for three weeks! God, she was too tierd of their 'You are so grown up' talk, and escaped from this damned place as soon as it was possible. Her parents were still there, and before she returned to the magical school, she was at home, enjoying the silnce.Sighing quietly, Lydia pushed her black hair away from her pale face, while she sat down on a little bench. Her black coat was protecting her from the cold, though, it wasn't warm enough. Her black skirt, combatboots, and black shirt weren't good enough for this weather, but she was still holding on it. The cold wasn't the right thing what she would fear. She grinned for a moment, wondering who actually saw her missing. Probably no one. She only met one professor at the first term, and now, she didn'tknow anyone at her age. This was actually sad. Being such a loner was miserable, but then again, it was enjoyable. People didn't mess with her stuff and she didn't do the same. She had just finished practicing by herself at the pitch. While the different house teams weren't about to play a game yet, she felt the need to practice a little, especially since her individually practicing didn't occur nearly as often as it should. Between other Qudditch teams practicing, along with academic and club involvement, she had barely any time to practice Qudditch. Meg decided, after finishing practicing, to stay outside longer before heading back inside of the castle. After all, with a wink of the eye, the weather would suddenly turn cooler. Sure, it was cooler now than it was at the beginning of the term. But, it certainly wasn't that cold enough. Living up in a tower taught her how cold it could become when it truly was cold. Dressed in a light black coat over her light blue shirt, a black skirt, and black flats. As she neared the lake, Meg slowed down, and opened up the sketchpad in her hands to a clean page. She enjoyed spending time drawing, no matter what she really should be doing. Looking up, she tried to decide what to draw. As she did so, she noticed a girl sitting on a bench near the lake. She thought she saw the girl in her classes a while ago, but not recently. When she steeped within earshot of the girl, she spoke up, "Hi. Sorry, I hope that I'm not bothering you." Annoying students already? She scowled, then turned around and nodded quickly. She had seen her before in the classrooms and as she could remember, this one was Ravenclaw. Then, coughing quietly, she shook her head:“No, you are not disturbing me,“ she said in her quiet voice. Then she looked at the student more closely. Dark hair, dark eyes... Almost like she was, only concidering the fact that Lydia was seriously pale. Vampire-like. That's how her parents liked to call her sometimes, and some of her class or schoolmates. “I'm Lydia von Lucifer, it's nice to meet you,“ she said politely, offering her a hand. Though, she wasn't in a mood to make some friends, because she knew that after this day, they won't talk anymore, but it was also good to know someone's name. She enjoyed to spend time outside by the lake. She often found comfort in relaxing by the lake after Qudditch, or even during her free time. It was a good place for her to clear her mind. She even found it to be helpful with her imagination for her artwork. But, when the weather started to turn cold, she would need to spend less time at the lake. After getting approval, Meg smiled to the girl. "Thanks," she responded to her. She sat down on a rock that she was near. She placed the sketchpad that she was holding on her lap. She looked over at Lydia as she introduced herself to her. Yes, that name certainly sounded familiar to her. However, if her memory served correctly, she recalled the fact that Lydia had not been present in her classes for a few weeks. "It's nice to meet you too Lydia. I'm Megan Ruiz," she introduced herself to Lydia, and shook her fellow fifth year's hand. "I hope you've been alright recently," she said to Lydia. She assumed that Lydia's absence was due to a sickness, or some type of health concern. However, she wasn't one to immediately ask why Lydia wasn't in. Skip to next post Re: From the eternal sea they rise Reply #4 on March 29, 2010, 08:56:47 AM She nodded as the Ravenclaw introduced herself as well. Not that she really was afraid of not responding. She was used to it. People were mostly afraid of her style, and didn't talk to her much because of her dark attitude. Yes, she was totally in love with darkness, deat, etc. It was just the usual her, and there was probably no way what could just push her away from this path.Path. Actually this wasn't the word with what she'd call the "world" what she's living in. like any other Slytherin, she was kind of cold, she didn't talk much, and she was friends mostly with those who were useful. Not that she'd turn her bag to the ones who needed help. She was truly helpful, but she never smiled at people from deep of her heart. It belonged to the Death itself. Yes, she really wished that one good day this all will end. Her life, to be certain, and she can just... escape. The Eart, World, whatever... She never belonged there. When Meg shook her hand, she nodded once again, and then fastly put her hand in the pocket, as if she got an electric shock from the physical contact. No. She just wasn't used to it, though, she offered her hand by herself and at the firs place. Looking, as Meg sat down on a stone, she sat back down on a little bench, and turned her eyes back at the lake. But then she had to snort. Quietly, but it was just a silly thing what Meg had noticed. "Funny, I thought that people already forgot about me," she said in a sarcastic voice, though, she didn't want to be rude. It was just... cool. Cool to know that someone simply knew that in this school was someone called Lydia von Lucifer. "I've just been away with my family. A trip, to be certain," she raised her eyebrows, not even knowing Why she was explaining herself to the girl who she simply didn't even know. But on the other hand, she felt free to talk with someone. Ravenclaws... They were kind of different. She knew that they won't tell anything to anybody. And this subject --Her familytrip -- wasn't a secret at all. "We were just in Alaska. But then I managed to escape the evil Family and I returned to the Hogwarts, still safe and sound," she grinned. Since it was getting closer to winter, not too much would be moving in the lake, maybe not even the giant squid. Opening the sketchpad that she brought with her, she immediately went to the first clean sheet in her book. The young artist always yearned for something to inspire her to draw. She definitely didn't need to be asked to do any artwork before actually doing it. When Lydia snorted, Meg looked up at her. Her eyes looked downward for a few seconds, as she thought, and simultaneously pulled a pencil out of her pocket. "Well, you would notice too if there was someone suddenly gone from class," she responded as she looked back up. While it might seem like a trivial thing to notice, she was just curious. It wasn't as if she was a social blabbermouth in their year. She was just simply curious. Right before Lydia began to explain her absence, Meg's hand was already at work on the sketch pad. The few lines that were already drawn were the start of the general profile of a girl. The few, and spaced out lines were already beginning to be connected, starting to morph into an actual object. She did not always need to be looking down at her work, especially when her subject was relatively near her, or even in front of her. "Oh, I hope you had a good enough time on your excursion with your family," Meg responded with a short nod. She had never heard of anyone leaving school for a while to visit family while school was still in session. Yet, there were still plenty of magical things that she still didn't know, despite her advances into the complexity of magical society. So, for all she knew it could happen at Hogwarts, with this clear example. "That's good that you were able to come back. Hopefully your family doesn't move around too much while you're back here," she offered with a smile. She had no idea how Lydia viewed her family, seeing as how she termed them 'evi,' but that could be used in a variety of ways. Up until this year she hadn’t worried about that. Eveline had been brought up that only the “best sort” were good enough to be her friends. However...after almost seven years at Hogwarts...she was starting to rethink that. Eveline had missed out on one Yule Ball after another because she had no one to invite her, and she would have missed out on the Halloween Ball too if she hadn’t just decided date or not, she was going. She’d had a perfectly good time too...until she started sprouting ears and a tail.By now it was obvious to Eveline that the so-called “best sort” weren't interested in her, and never would be. And she was starting to think she didn’t care. She no longer found it “cool” to put people down for being different; after all the only ones who ever paid any attention to her were her brother and her Dark cousins, and they were about as different as you can get.As Eveline headed toward the woods, intending to collect some herbs for a Potions assignment, she noticed two girls sitting on the bench talking. They looked familiar, though since she was a Seventh Year they weren't in any of her classes. She saw that one had a sketch pad and appeared to be drawing. She felt a knot in her stomach as she approached. Would she be intruding if she joined them?"Hullo," she said shyly. "Nice afternoon, isn't it?" True, it was a bit cold, especially with the wind blowing over the lake. She pulled her robe tighter around her sweater and jeans as the wind lifted her pale blond hair for a moment, chill against her neck.Summoning her nerve, she leaned over to see what the artist was sketching."Wow," she said, impressed. "You're really good. I can already tell who it is ..." Skip to next post
