[Oct 16] Two Arrested for Runespoor Explosion on March 01, 2010, 07:37:30 PM October 16, 2008Two Arrested for Knockturn Explosionby Niobe ThursbyLONDON - The Auror Corps has arrested two wizards for involvement with the explosion in Knockturn Ally on October 14. Rafe Sellaphix and Nathan Briggs have been detained and are facing charges of smuggling and handling the Runespoor that caused the explosion. Sellaphix is the owner of Sellaphix Apothecary, a popular shop near the mouth of Diagon Ally. Briggs is an employee there. Ministry officials say the blast was caused when a large amount of cured Runespoor venom interacted with magic. This highly volatile potions reagent reacts violently when in near proximity to magic, making it a very dangerous substance. The resulting explosion injured two: Briggs and an unnamed witness. Injuries from ignited cured runespoor venom can include nasty, flesh-eating burns. And if the toxin enters the blood stream, schizophrenic symptoms may rapidly begin to affect the injured.
