Currently, Landis was the only non-professor in the staff room. He stood, his back to the door, calmly filling a mug with water from the sink for tea. He had been working at Hogwarts for nearly a month now, and was working on memorizing all the teachers' names, faces, subjects, and blood statuses. In a bizarre but appealing twist, many of the older professors here would remember him from when he attended Hogwarts, and he remembered them, but this didn't apply to the younger ones. Sitting at the staff table at mealtimes and the gossip circles meant that his name and face were known, but little more than that. There were a charming few who'd come to introduce themselves, welcome him to Hogwarts, etc, and he'd talked to them- but largely, Landis hadn't been terribly social. That would change soon. As he heated the water in his mug with his wand, he was already planning the steps to Head of Slytherin House.
