Full Character Name: Hunter Thomas Radley
    Character Birthday & Age: 29; August 8, 1979
City & Country of Birth: Piddlehinton, west Dorset, England
    Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn?: Halfblood
    Alma Mater: Hogwarts, Gryffindor
Job: Quidditch Announcer (former second string beater for Puddlemere)

Wand: 13 ¾ inches long made of Hickory with a phoenix feather core. It is smooth and pliable.

    Physical Description:
Build/Body type: Hunter is built with a strong body. He has a lot of muscles left over professional quidditch and his rigorous workout schedule. He isn’t as ripped as he once was, but he works hard not to fall out of shape.
    Estimated Height/Weight: 6’2 ½” 200lbs
Hair color: Hunter’s hair is sandy blond. It is generally lighter in the summer when he spends more time outside. In the winter it generally looks more of a very light brown.
Eye color: His eyes are a very light gray-green.
Skin color: Hunter loves spending time outside. As such, he tends to have a tanned complexion all year round. He spends as much time in the sun as possible when he is traveling to warmer climates for quidditch games.
First Impression: Hunter appears to be a pretty boy. People would probably initially assume he is self absorbed and arrogant. A good looking guy with an easy going smile tends to spell trouble to most people.
Any odd/outstanding features?: There is nothing particularly special about the way that Hunter looks. He can blend in with a crowd fairly well. He has obnoxiously long toes, but really, who looks at his feet?

Personality Description: Life for Hunter is never dull, which is exactly how he likes it. There is always something new and exciting going on in quidditch, and he has the luck to travel with Puddlemere to announce their games on British radio. Life is anything but routine for the youngest Radley, and if it ever does get too dull he has to do something to shake things up. Being idle for too long, or going a long time without some sort of exciting happening to chatter about drives Hunter crazy. Though he still lives in his hometown, and is still a regular face at the Green Goblin (his parents’ pub), Hunter knows that there is adventure anywhere he looks for it- as long as he looks hard enough.

A surprising contrast to his need for constant excitement, is the general impression that Hunter can be a bit… lazy. He prefers to work smarter and not harder. Even in school he never over applied himself to anything. Even with quidditch, he tended to just be naturally good. Oh, he practiced- but he did it because he wanted to, not necessarily because he needed to. Even now, if he is not working, he is often found loafing around until boredom strikes him. He loves luxurious things, and tends to be a overspend on things just because he likes them. His mother had a hand in decorating his house, which is somewhat obvious in the random, out of place feminine touches (such as the amount of throw pillows on his bed). He loves his home, though, and finds living down the street from his parents handy. Especially those nights he is too lazy to cook for himself and feels like being babied- those nights he can just walk down the street and pull a puppy face at mom and talk her into cooking for him. All of this tends to make people presume he is incapable of fending for himself. And when he has a girlfriend, then it becomes her job to take mom’s place.

His confidence is often interpreted as pride, and often times it is not a misinterpretation. Hunter thinks very highly of himself, and tends to have a bit of an ego. He is never happy without an audience to perform for (half of the draw of quidditch, and all of the draw of being an announcer), and if he lacks an audience of fans, he makes an audience out of his friends and family. Hunter likes the idea of having a following, and takes pride in the fact that there are probably kids who look up to him. (Because, even though his quidditch career was short lived, it was pretty spectacular if he does say so himself). He loves praise and flattery, and a well placed compliment can get you everywhere with Hunter. When he lacks the appreciation that he feels he deserves, or if he is not getting enough attention, he often times gets upset about it. However upset or wounded his pride may be, though, he would never complain about it. Hunter would rather suffer in silence than purposefully cause undue stress on others because he feels like they don’t pay him enough attention.

Hunter is generally a happy, bouncy person. He can’t stand being upset, and as such tends to bounce back from letdowns or upsetting circumstances rarely quickly. This often makes him seem fickle (especially in matters of the heart). If things go wrong, he takes it upon himself to try to make things right so that he can go on living his life happily with little to no conflict (unless it’s all in fun, of course).

Hunter has a problem with girls. Unlike his brothers, he doesn’t seem to have a problem with commitment- he seems to commit far too fast. With no shortage of female admirers over the years, and his need to be loved and appreciated, Hunter tends to fall in love far too fast. He jumps in head first, and then drowns in it. If you were to ask Hunter, he has been in love numerous times, but it just never seems to last. The fire always burns out much quicker than expected, and he moves on. He tries to stay friends with the girls, and often tries to forget about the hearts he has broken along the way. In his opinion he just hasn’t found the right girl yet. This is likely due to the fact that in a relationship Hunter tends to be a bit high maintenance. He needs a lot of attention and likes to have his whims catered to. Hunter has a lot to give to a woman, and he is aware of it, and as such he expects them to give a lot- probably more than they should in return.

His propensity to be a bit self absorbed doesn’t mean he is incapable of caring for others. Surprisingly sensitive and empathetic (he tries to hide it for the sake of being macho, naturally) Hunter knows how to care for his friends, family, and lovers. There is a never a time where he refuses to stop worrying about himself to help someone who is in need. In fact, he tends to pamper his friends and his family and treat them as well as he can. More often than not he gives out the maximum number of quidditch tickets, and always has a list of people waiting for some. Hunter likes to treat others, and pick up the tab when he and his buddies go out.

One trait that began as a child, and is now fully cultivated as an adult, is Hunter’s tendency to be melodramatic. He discovered when he was little if he over exaggerated his feelings, his stories, or the “mistreatment” of his brothers that he would gain more attention, pity, or whatever else he was seeking. He mocks being more hurt than he is- usually in jest, but it always has the exact impact he is looking for. His melodramatic ways generally carries over into his anger. He has a short temper, and it flares on a regular basis, although it generally doesn’t last for long and he resolves the conflicts with a cooler head after blowing up. Still, he tends to be over dramatic in his anger and yells a lot and says things he often regrets afterward.

Obviously, since he seems to need constant praise and adoration and loves having an audience, Hunter has learned to be charming and charismatic over the years. Ever since he was a child and a favorite at the pub, and now that he is an adult and still a favorite staple at the Green Goblin, and in his opinion his mother’s favorite son, Hunter knows what to say to keep people interested. He gets along well with almost everyone that he meets, and never holds a grudge against people who might cross him. Hunter sees no point in living in the past, and doesn’t understand why others do it.

In fact, the only people that Hunter tends to not get along with are those who are incredibly demanding and unyielding. He isn’t fond of others trying to force their opinions on him, or who call into question his beliefs or his way of life. He will defend himself, his friends, and his family to the very end before letting someone else criticize or harm them. Hunter is extremely territorial in many different way. If anyone oversteps their boundaries he is quick to let them know, quick to resolve the issue, and then very quick to move on.

History: The baby of the family, Hunter Radley has enjoyed all of the perks of being the youngest and (in his opinion) the prettiest. Ever since he was a toddler he was wooing people with his charm and his bright smile. Hunter adored all of the attention he received, and after he was finally old enough to start helping out with his parents pub, he loved it even more. He quickly became a favorite among the customers, and was soon drowning in all of the attention. Hunter loved every moment of people fawning over him.

He loved his big brothers, but since Archer was so much older than him he spent most of his childhood copying what Joel was doing. But during the summers and holidays, Hunter practically shadowed Archer. It would be his oldest brother who got him interested in quidditch, and Hunter took to it immediately. He decided before he even started Hogwarts that he was going to join his house team and grow up to be a professional quidditch player!

Eventually he would join Hogwarts. He wasn’t sure what house he wanted, but decided that if he was at the very least in a house with one of his brothers he would be satisfied. The sorting hat quickly placed him in Gryffindor, with his big brother Joel.

His years in Hogwarts were good ones. He did average in most of his classes, showing no real aptitude for much of anything apart from Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts. As soon as he was old enough he tried out for quidditch as a Beater. Hunter never was able to make first string, but did stay on as a backup player for the Gryffindor house team. This left him hoping for others to get injured in the back of his mind, a feeling he never really forgave himself for. (Especially if someone on the first string actually ended up getting hurt.)

When Hunter graduated he was recruited to a semi-professional quidditch team. Finally he had his chance to shine on first string. He settled into the routine perfectly. He used the money that he made to buy a house down the road from his parents in his home town. That way whenever he was in town he could help out at the pub and stay close with his family. This is a lot of the reason why his big brothers seem to think he is a mama’s boy and a bit of a kiss ass. In actuality he really isn’t (well, he isn’t a kiss ass at any rate).

Hunter remained on the semi-pro team for about three years before he was picked up by Puddlemere. Hunter was thrilled at the prospect at being able to play professionally, just like he had wanted since he was a young boy. His dreams were coming true! Hunter was twenty-one whenever he was picked up as a second string beater for Puddlemere. He saw more playtime than he expected, especially in games that dragged on forever.

But, of course, all good things must end. After having a successful quidditch career for about four years, Hunter was injured. A rogue bludger hit Hunter in the back and caused him to fall from his broom. He suffered a very bad back injury, nearly finding himself paralyzed in the process. Although his back healed, he would never be well enough to play quidditch again.

After recovering he was asked to announce for Puddlemere. Hunter loved the team, and was a big quidditch fan, and thought that being an announcer would allow him to remain in the spotlight and keep some fans. He wouldn’t be removed from the life that he enjoyed so much.

For the last four years he has traveled with Puddlemere, announcing over the Wizarding radio for his team. He loved the chance to go to other countries, but being able to come home all the time makes it even better.

Now twenty-nine years old, Hunter feels the pressure to get married and have a family soon. He wants it, but can’t seem to have a functional enough relationship for it. His back injury still bothers him on occasion, and he calls it his “war wound”. Mostly he is happy, well adjusted, and glad to be living the life he has. Hunter is still close with his brothers, but he doesn’t worship them quite so much as he used to. Now he has fun agitating them about how he is the favorite of their parents and the most successful/popular. It’s all in jest, but sometimes, he doesn’t realize he takes it too far.

Occupation Information: Currently Hunter works as a quidditch announcer. He travels with the team and announces games over the wizarding radio waves in Britain. Hunter used to play with Puddlemere as a second string beater. After suffering an injury that never quite healed right he knew that his quidditch career was over. Not wanting to give up the game, and still wanting to have lots of fans and followers, it seemed to be the logical step. They needed an announcer, he needed a job, and it just fit.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Hunter is a jovial, fun loving fellow. He’s a bit of a homebody and a mama’s boy at heart. His family means the world to him, and he really wants to settle down with a family of his own one day. Quidditch is his favorite past time, and he is a die-hard Puddlemere fan. He loves his friends and being the center of attention. He loves having a following and he loves his job more than most people realize. The only things that Hunter needs in the world to make him happy is family, a pretty girl he cares about, friends, and quidditch.
