[Sept. 20] Screw You and the Broom You Rode in On. ( M, Jax, PM for invite) on November 12, 2009, 09:18:14 PM ( Rated M for language and possible violence)Saturday, September 20th 2008Mally's Outfit'Dress nice and respectable. This is a very important meeting.'That is what her father's letter said, aside from the date and location of this 'business meeting' he hinted at, so naturally Malynda did the exact opposite. Instead of a nice blouse and skirt, she had donned a dangerously short dress in scarlet red, spike covered heels and matching makeup. Her tattoos were on full and lurid display, almost mockingly so, and her jewelry was expensive but hardly what her father would consider respectable. If she could have located a necklace of a hand with the middle finger prominently displayed, she most certainly would have. It was funny really, her father knew what kind of girl she was, so why he insisted on believing she would do a damn thing he said was beyond her. Arriving at the bar 5 minutes late, Malynda wrinkled her nose as she entered. It certainly was not her sort of place. Either she liked to be in posh clubs like Signature, or seedy dives like the Black Chimeara. Places like the Sword and Chant were family joints in comparison. She half expected some kid to be crying for mummy to buy him some candy while mummy knitted the baby next to her some booties and daddy read the quidditch page of the paper. She was happy to see there wasn't such an idyllic scene when she came to the main bar area. Perhaps it got seedier when the kids were all at Hogwarts. Her father, looking woefully out of place in the rustic surroundings, sat in a corner. His stiff posture and the way his eyes bored into the seat in front of him made it clear that she had angered him with her tardiness. No business associate was in sight, but she had an inkling he had made that up to get her to even show up, their father/daughter relationship wasn't exactly friendly. A malicious smirk spread across her face as she slid into the booth next to him, making sure to cross her legs in such a way that the staring patrons of the male persuasion got a nice view of her shapely thighs. "I will have a bottle of your finest vodka and a shot glass..." She said to the waiter before looking over at her father. Her eyes didn't meet his dark and cold ones long before she dug in her clutch and pulled out a slim black cigarette, which she promptly lit, puffed and blew into his face. "So. What do you want?" She had no intention of beating around the bush with him. It was clear neither of them really wanted to be there. "Where's this business associate you spoke of? Or was he just an imaginary friend? I am assuming you don't have any others...""He will be here shortly..." Leander managed, his teeth clenched. BINGO! Gotcha, bitch... She said inwardly as waves of anger washed forth from him and over her. She countered it with another burst of smoke in his face. Waving it away, he reached out and snatched the cigarette from her lips, smashing it out in a nearby ashtray "You shouldn't smoke, it makes you smell like shit... " Looking her over critically, he added with a sneer "Not that you don't already look like it...""Aw daddy, thanks for noticing... I thought that if I was meeting a business associate I should look as much like my beloved father as I could..." She snapped back as she pulled out another cigarette and lit it. She had plenty to keep this going. "... Though I must say Bravo to your stick-in-the-ass business man look, it really outdid mine..." Cocking her head to the side, she gave him a simpering smile, waiting for his reaction. She could do this all night. "Ah there he is." Her father said, quickly changing the subject and destroying her hopes of a verbal war. Glancing over, her eyes widened a little and she almost whistled. "Well hello handsome..." She murmured, her pale eyes devouring the tall young man in front of her. "Why daddy, you surprise me. I would have figured all your business associates looked like ancient slimeball lawyers with bad combovers... I am happy to be proved wrong. Hi, I am Malynda... You can call me Mal..." She gave him a real smile and offered her hand. Skip to next post Re: [Sept. 20] Screw You and the Broom You Rode in On. Unless of course they were replaced by some female wunderkind then they were reduced to the rest of apes milling about the streets dragging knuckles and muttering to themselves. While his little brother took the Academic route, well if it could be considered academic, Jax was looking for his own way. After leaving school his seventh year, Jax thought his life would be made with his girlfriend at the time Moira and their mutual friends. Instead he was dumped, a rarity for him, and left to try and tread water. Moving in with some of his mates, he took a reserves position flying about with the Montrose Magpies. This was the start of his meteoric rise to the top of the social ladder once more. From dope on a rope, back to the top of the heap in little over a year. Like turning about the Titanic it wasn't going to happen over night. What he was going to be careful of was never getting his heart broken again. So after the Randall scandal, Jax went back to sleeping about finding girls from pubs and clubs to take away his pain and hurt. It worked, there was a hole, but it was a start. Now he found that he was being dragged back into the past. A man who he had not spoken to in ages, a colleague of his father, wanted to discuss something of grave importance. Knowing that he was supposed to dress up, he decided to at least go classy. Giving himself a once over, he approved and figured it was good enough to meet up with the man. Maybe his father had kicked or divorced his step-wench. A dream, oh yes yes, simply a dream.Making his way to their rendezvous spot, Jax found himself in the presence of not only Leander but his daughter. This was strange to him, a foggy memory started to surface from the past. Giving the girl a once over, he made a mental note to check out her hind-end when she turned around, "Hello Mal, names Jax Woolfolk..." he looked over to Leander with a cocked brow. "So what is it that you needed to discuss with me so desperately that it couldn't be done by mail carrier?" Straight to the point, he wanted to figure out why he was summoned to the spot he now stood.Outfit Skip to next post Re: [Sept. 20] Screw You and the Broom You Rode in On. ( M, Jax, PM for invite) Reply #2 on December 01, 2009, 08:18:34 PM "Hello Mal, names Jax Woolfolk..." When Jax's eyes roamed over her, Malynda made sure to present herself in the best possible light. She sucked in her stomach ever so slightly and made sure to squeeze her arms together just enough to amplify her cleavage. Biting her lip, she gave him a flirtatious smile, at least, she did until he said his name. As he turned to speak to her father, Malynda frowned slightly. Woolfolk... Woolfolk... wasn't that the name of that little shoe fetish brat in her house... The one that made Malynda want to claw her own eardrums out every time she prattled on about nothing? Yes, she was sure of it. Why did her father want her to meet with someone related to that?"So what is it that you needed to discuss with me so desperately that it couldn't be done by mail carrier?""Yes, Father... Why?" Malynda echoed pointedly, staring him down with a rather hateful gaze. She had a very hazy inkling that, if she was correct, was not at all welcome. Her fathers ability to torture her was nigh unlimited and he always found some way to make her life miserable, everything from meddling in her affairs to simply being alive. She suspected that his motives involved making her miserable and she wasn't disappointed. He got right down to business and started demoralizing."I'm sorry your father couldn't make it, Jax, but I assume that is probably a good thing... Either way, he and I are old friends, as I believe you both know..." He started, to which Malynda said under her breath "I sure as hell didn't..." and was given a cold glare in reply. He continued, his polite tone strained with irritation "... The two of us decided long ago, when you were both quite young, that in order to secure the purity of the Drake and Woolfolk families, that..."Here it came... Her hunch was being proven correct... Her worst fears were in the process of being realized..."... The two of you would marry when Malynda came of age." As yes, there it was. The awful truth. The announcement of forced matrimony between two unwilling youths. Despite the fact that she saw it coming, Malynda was unable to contain her horror and shock that he actually said it "WHAT?!?" Her shout rendered the pub almost silent as all eyes settled on them, curious to what could possibly be going on in the corner. How little they knew that, at that moment, one innocent girls life was being systematically dismantled by her sadistic father, all in the name of progeny. Skip to next post
