Personality Description:Henry is, for lack of a better word, a nerd. A true blue, socially inept astrophysicist nerd. He is the most content when dealing with the scientific matters of the stars. He could talk about his work for hours and never get bored. But drop the guy into a party or a social outing and watch him struggle. He is shy and withdrawn with women. Even around his boss who he respects greatly for her intellect and drive, he becomes a blushing, stammering fool. You got to feel for the poor guy. When not in the lab, he can found enjoying a good science fact or fiction book. He is keenly interested in muggle sciences and wants to emerge it with magic to create new theories that can better man’s understand of the universe. Henry does have one social activity he can excel at, a game of pool or billards. Must all that math in his head.

History:Weymouth is a very Muggle town in southern England. Jeffery Spindler was a local science teacher and Meredith was one of the town’s librarians. Henry made his appearance on October 25th, 1970. He was a quiet baby seemingly content to take everything in, crying only when he wanted something.

Walking aided Henry to get to whatever object held his attention. The world fascinated the young boy. While other children were out playing games, Henry was examining, exploring, or reading. His father was proud of his keen mind and ability to quickly pick up ideas and concepts. Science was slowly becoming Henry’s favorite pastime. So what if one of his experiments unexplainably blew up or vanished, it was in the name of science.

It was quite a surprise for Henry and his parents when the letter from Hogwarts came. Henry intrigued by the mystery that was magic, couldn’t wait to go. After all, magic was only a myth before. Imagine what he could learn about the world if he could harness and understand these powers. At the very least, he could learn how not to blow up his solar system models. Off little Henry went to learn and explore this brand new world.

He was sorted into Ravenclaw. It wasn’t a surprise to him. After all, what better place for him than a house that valued learning above everything else. He was a very studious pupil, excelling at potions, astronomy, and arithamancy. Somehow he could never get the hang of transfiguration or defense magic. With Transfiguration, he was more interested in how it happened rather than actually doing it. During his flying lessons, he discovered a severe fear of heights.

After settling into Hogwarts life, Henry enjoyed his time there. He was disappointed how little interest his fellow housemates had in science. The few that showed interest, Henry bonded with. He enjoyed explaining the basic to them. Upon his final year, Henry began to wonder if there was a place in the wizarding world for his talents.Being very science minded, he didn’t think he would fit in. Before leaving Hogwarts with the help of Professor Flitwick and Professor Dumbledore, Henry applied to Oxford, one of the few Hogwarts alumni to continue his education in the Muggle world

Henry enjoyed his time at Oxford. In the field of astrophysics, he found a place to draw on his education at Hogwarts and supplement it with what he was learning at Oxford. It was also at Oxford, he discovered his skill at the pool table. It became his release from the lab and where he felt like he fit in.

After achieving his doctorate, Henry took a teaching position at Oxford. It was during this time, the wizarding world reentered his life. As Voldemort’s forces began to drive the muggleborns out of the wizarding world, some of Henry’s colleagues were being affected. Rumors were whispered around the campus as some new students would disappear or be attacked. By accident, Henry discovered the awful truth behind the attacks.

One night after working late, Henry came across a couple of Snatchers trying to subdue a young boy. Without thinking, Henry tried to scare them away. When they turned on to him, Henry turned to run, but didn’t get far. A the Snatchers attacked him, Henry pulled his wand out of instinct and blasted both of them away. Shocked at the burst of magic after living so long without it, Henry grabbed the boy and ran for it.

Once safe in the confines of his office, Henry listened to the boy’s tale. Disturbed by the story, Henry tried to contact some of his old friends from Hogwarts including Professor Flitwick. He didn’t receive any work back until after the Battle of Hogwarts. Henry returned to Hogwarts to help in any way he could.

During his return, he learned the Ministry was being rebuilt. Professor Flitwick recommended Henry for a position. With his science background and few rudimentary theories about mixing science and magic, Henry was accepted into the Department. He retired from his position at Oxford to devote his time to helping with the rebuilding.

Henry is currently assigned to the Astrolab. He has published several papers about magic, physics, and how the two influence each other. He has remained devoted to his work as he tries to discover a way for the magical community to be able to travel into a space. The last place for Henry to truly explore.

What is your job description? How do you go about your job?
How did you get your current job? How does your past and abilities justify your current position?:

Henry is an Unspeakable. He has an extensive astrophysics background that helps with his work in the astrolab. His current project is magic in space. Also his experiences in the muggle world helps him when his department ever needs to deal with their muggle counterparts. That and the having a Dr. in front of his name stops them from getting too curious.

Henry walked quickly through the halls of the Ministry. His long coat swished about him with his quick movements. He didn’t like being outside his lab for too long. After all, it increased the probability of having a random encounter with one of the many employees in the building. It wasn’t that he didn’t like them. He was sure they were wonderful people. However, they never really understood what he would try to talk about. They usually asked him if saw last night’s match or did he hear the latest gossip about some other worker. It always left him feeling a bit like an oddball. He wasn’t a quidditch fan and in his opinion, gossip was kind of pointless. It’s even factual half the time.

He breathed a sigh of relief as he entered the Department of Mysteries. Finally smiling, he strode more contently toward his work area. Shrugging out of his coat, he nodded to several of his co workers. The Ministry wasn’t’ much different than Oxford, except he could open use magic here. It was hard hiding that part of him self for so many years.

Entering his office, Henry hung up his coat while plucking the white lab coat from its hook. The gesture was as much a part of Henry’s day as a morning cup of coffee. Picking up his notes from yesterday, Henry pulled out a pair of thin rimmed glasses before he began to debrief himself on yesterday’s experiments. Marking new variables to try, he barely noticed the young unspeakable that stood in the door way.

“Doctor, Department Head Snark wants your updates as soon as possible.” The young man spoke up.

“Of course, Michaels. How did the vacuum test work out?” Henry asked as he began to gather up what he needed for his boss.

Michaels frowned seriously, “The results were inconclusive. Should I set up the test again?”

“Yes. I would like to see what went wrong and if it’s fixable. I’ll be right there after I drop these off.” Henry nodded as he shuffled the papers into order, “Write up the initial results before you reset everything. It’ll be good for comparisons later.”

Henry watched as Michael hurried off. He envied the young Unspeakable. Much of what Henry could understand about quidditch came from the Unspeakables that worked with him. That and they never seemed to blush and stammer around the women in the department. Henry couldn’t even get a good morning out with out stuttering. He had his doctorate and he couldn’t even say hi.

A blush started to bloom and he wasn’t even near the door. What was wrong with him. God, he needed help. Henry pushed the thoughts from his head and he raised his hand to knock on Analiza’s door. Three brisk knock echoed off the door. Henry stood back, a blush his face attempting to keep his mouth from stuttering.

“Miiiss Sn..arrk.” Henry stuttered before stooping himself. Swallowing his pride and decided to speed through the rest of what he needed to say, “I have the updates you requested.”

Henry tried to prevent his blush from getting darker as he stared at the door. Why did he always get this jarred around women? What was wrong with him? Why couldn’t there be some simple mathematical equation that could solve the enigma that was the female gender?!

Sum up your character in one paragraph:
I can do it in two words, cute geek!
