Nicola couldn’t accept the offer at first, she couldn’t believe someone would be willing to offer her a place. She always expected she had until the holidays to figure out where she was supposed to go, but here Finn was offering her a place to stay. She didn’t want to impose but it was the best offer she was going to get. “Thank you Finn,” she said in a sleepy tone.

She had never figured she would ever feel this sort of pain, yet here she was completely in pain. She had never dated anyone and this was why, she wanted to avoid the rumoured pain you could feel from love. Nicola hated how she felt and just wanted to forget it all. Was any of the moments with Gavin worth this pain?

“I am just going to stay here,” she said quietly as got comfortable where she was. “I am so tired,” she said as she kind of nuzzled in next to him. She could easily fall asleep here. “Can I stay the night?” Nicola asked as she was already falling asleep.

Nicola thanked him as though she was surprised at his offer. She should have known he would never let her go without somewhereto stay or someone to talk to. He was and would always be there for her, regardless of whether she wanted him there or not. He would always be on the sidelines in the hopes that one day she would realise that the person she was supposed to be with was acually him.

“Can I stay the night?”

He wanted to tell her she could stay forever, but managed to refrain. "You know you don't need to ask that. When would you ever not be able to stay here? Consider this your home." He kissed the top of her head again. "But you have to eat." he said as though he was her dad looking after her. "Food will be coming up shortly, and I'm making sure you are going to eat something." He smiled down at her. "We don't want you wasting away now."
