[Sept 16] Growls in the Night End Hitwizard's Life on October 13, 2009, 12:25:36 PM Tuesday, September 16th, 2009Growls in the Night End Hit-Wizard's Lifeby Aldo MerryweatherOn Monday night September 15, a great tragedy befell the Ministry of Magic in the loss of a decorated member of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Hit Wizard Lukas Braeden Quinn, a veteran of several scrapes with the world of the dangerous and wicked found himself on the bad end of a werewolf attack. Quinn, age forty, was on patrol with several well trained fellow Hit Wizards staking out an abandoned building in the South-Side of Essex. When asked for a comment, several members of the Ministry of Magic remained mum. Sources say that Quinn had gone in alone when he had heard what sounded like cries of a child from within the building. There inside he found a fully formed werewolf instead, a battle ensued, though details are sketchy it seems those backing up Quinn were able to get in to his limp body and bring him off to St. Mungo's in hopes of helping their fallen comrade. Sadly for the Hit Wizard and those close to him, St. Mungo's esteemed staff were unable to help in the man's struggle for survival and he passed soon after arrival. Sadly this misfortune had fallen during one of his final assignments, the lifetime member of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, had been set to retire from the Ministry once his last few missions were completed. Quinn was offered a post, late during the Summer holiday, as a Quidditch and Flight instructor at his Alma Mater Hogwarts, where he had been known as a legendary Ravenclaw House player of the sport.Upon review of the abandoned building where the incident occurred, there is little belief that a child was anywhere near the building that evening, leaving many to speculate that the attack was set up. This comes on the heels of a highly contested decision made by the newly appointed Headmistress of Hogwarts to ban a student from Hogwarts due to the affliction of Lycanthrophy. Lukas Quinn leaves behind several family members namely his beloved halfsister Beverly Quinn-Nightwing, her spouse Istaqa Nightwing, and nephew Ferris Quinn-Nightwing. As well as a favorite cousin by the name of Matilda Quinn. All of those stated above were named in his will as beneficiaries of his estate and belongings in the event of his untimely passing. One member of the Quinn clan left off was his estranged son Jasper who could not be reached for comment on the passing of his hero father, though we can say with almost absolute certainty that he feels the loss deeply.
