To Ms Emma Foley,

 Dear Ms Foley,

           I was deeply sorrowed to learn that our new headmistress had refused to allow Olivia to return to Hogwarts this year. Her opinion is certainly not universal among the staff. As her Head of House I was aware of Olivia's condition.  I have had great experience dealing with rogue werewolves in my life and know the danger that they pose. Olivia as you know however was nothing of the sort. Throughout her time at Hogwarts she always managed her lycanthropy with great responsibility and care for her fellow students and as a result never posed a risk to others.

 You have my assurance that I will endeavour to persuade Ms Snark of her error in judgement on this matter. I will write to you again to update you as to my progress. In the mean time however for Olivia's future it is vital that she not fall behind in her studies in this, her OWL year.  I will endeavour to see that she receives the notes from the lessons that she misses. Additionally until this situation can be reversed I am prepared to offer Olivia an hour of private tuition every evening.
