[June 26] Diagon Ransacked by Runespoors on October 11, 2009, 07:29:46 PM Thursday, June 26, 2008Diagon Ransacked by Runespoorsby Niobe ThursbyLONDON - Today in Diagon Ally, two full grown Runespoor serpents escaped from illegal storage areas somewhere in Knockturn Ally and wrecked havok in Diagon Ally.Fifty-three witches and wizards were injured, seventeen of them seriously enough to be taken to St. Mungo's Hospital. There were no fatalities. This reporter was on the scene and can report first-hand the heroic behavoir of Ministry personell and general citizens alike. Head of the Department for the Regulation & Control of Magical Creatures Covadonga Gertrudis successfully immobilized the serpents and were able to capture them alive.At this point, the Daily Prophet is unalbe to report the exact source of the illegal serpents, although many eyewitnesses claim to have seen both serpents emerge from Knockturn Ally.
