Wand: Ringo’s wand is a little beaten up, and made of Oak wood, with a unicorn hair insert.  Possessing a gift of rythm, Ringo would sometimes use his wand to drum when bored.  Otherwise, he has kept it polished, but it does show some signs of wear.

Physical Description: Standing at 5’8” Ringo finds himself to be around average.  Some would consider him lanky, as he is skinny.  Despite being around sugar throughout his youth, he is thankful to have a fast metabolism to keep him from gaining much weight.  His height is accentuated by his long shaggy hair, down to around his shoulders.  His hair is a blonde-brown mixture, with bangs going off to his right side normally.  At times, normally when he is inside, his hair may appear just brown (or the color of milk chocolate, according to his dad).

Ringo has brown eyes, which his mother always tells him are the color of dark chocolate.   He’s always liked the color of his eyes, despite their darkness.  When he smiles, it definitely brightens up the color of them.  It’s rare that he will smile a big, toothy smile, but when something thoroughly amuses him, he will.

He’s not exactly what you would call “pretty”, but he likes his looks just fine.  He also has a somewhat big nose, which other kids would make fun of him for.  Ringo never minded, and thinks it suits him quite well.  A weird name, and a weird look, were what he always liked about himself. Part of his weird look would also come from his clothing choices.  Not exactly trendy, but he likes sweaters and collared shirts.

Personality Description: Ringo is probably one of the sweetest guys you will ever meet.  Almost fitting into Hufflepuff for this trait, he gets along with almost anyone.  He dislikes seeing people being sad, and will do almost anything to cheer you up.  Ringo loves being able to make people laugh.  He also loves just making people smile in general.

One of Ringo’s favorite pastimes is making sweets.  He learned when he was little, due to his parents owning a muggle sweet shop.  Because of this, he grew up sharing chocolates and suckers with others from his parent’s shop.  He’s a very giving person, and doesn’t mind being able to cheer them up with sweets.  He believes chocolate can cure all, and that everyone has their own candy that can make them happy.  Ringo also believes that someone’s taste in candies can say different things about them.

Also, Ringo loves music.  His parents named him after Ringo Starr of the Beatles (of whom his parents were big fans of at the time of his birth).  Because of this relation, Ringo decided to take up the drums, as well as singing lessons.  Like sweets, he believes music can show things about someone by their taste in it.

Because of his muggle upbringing, as well as his parent’s “freeness”, Ringo does tend to be a little “out there”.  He’ll say some weird things, as well as sometimes just zone out in the middle of a conversation.  His brain moves on very fast at times, and might have moved on to something completely different than what he was talking about five seconds prior.

When working on some new flavor or candy, Ringo does have a tendency to be a little “mad scientist.”  He can get so obsessed about creating something new for others.  While it can be a little frightening at times, most people forget about it when they actually taste the candies he creates.  He loves mixing together some of the weirdest flavors.

History: Ringo was born on May 24th, 1990 to two muggle confectioners.  Jillian Abernathy and Bernard Cavendar had met at culinary school.  They had been partners for a project and realized how well they worked together.  Two years after their initial meeting, they were married.  Shortly after, Jillian gave birth to their only child, Ringo.

Something else that Jillian and Bernard both shared was a love of music.  They shared the love of a band called The Beatles, and that love influenced the naming of their son.  He was named Ringo, for the drummer of the Beatles. Then his middle name, Oliver, came from Bernards father who had passed away a year before the birth of Ringo. And of course, Cavendar, as it is his parent’s last name.

Ringo grew up learning the ways of sugar mastery and making sweets. Jillian and Bernard now owned “Cavendar Confections” and Ringo helped out when he could. His parents also had him learn music and how to play the drums.  He went to muggle schools until he turned 11, and his parents were completely surprised with the news.  Ringo Oliver Cavendar was a wizard.

Jillian actually fainted when a representative from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry appeared on their doorstep that day.  Bernard was close to fainting, but instead was rendered speechless.  Ringo, on the other hand, was absolutely thrilled.  What eleven year old kid doesn’t dream of having magical powers?

Eventually his parents accepted their son’s “abnormality” and even enjoyed being able to see parts of the wizarding world.  They even got new ideas for sweets, without hinting at the world muggles weren’t supposed to know of.  Ringo was able to make new friends, who were all right with his ‘weirdness’ when he was sorted into Ravenclaw.

When he got to his third year, Ringo was finally able to take trips into Hogsmeade.  He took one step into Honeydukes and was in love.  Growing up making sweets, he had never seen anything quite like the massive quantities of bewitched candies such as these.  Every trip, Ringo would stock up on the candies and learn the secrets behind them.  He had always been good at spellwork and potions, and loved examining the candies.

Soon enough, Ringo was able to internship during the summer with Honeydukes.  The staff was surprised at how well he knew their merchandise, as well as his ability to make the sweets.  They said that if he continued there, he would be able to manage soon enough. Ringo worked hard at impressing them, and even started creating some of his own candies.

After his seventh year at Hogwarts, Ringo was able to purchase a small place in Hogsmeade, with the help of the Honeydukes staff.  They gave him a full-time job, and the freedom to create whatever candies he wished.  Often he would send some of his stuff to his parents, and they vowed to never sell them to other muggles.  Jillian and Bernard were so proud that their son was doing so well in this different world.  And they were proud that he was able to keep in the family line of work.

What is your occupation? How do you go about it?
How did you get your current occupation?
How does your past and abilities justify your current skills?:

Ringo works for Honeydukes as both a candy creator and sales associate.  Recently graduated from Hogwarts, he had done internships with Honeydukes before.  He also grew up the son of muggle confectioners, and has always had a great knowledge and love for making sweets.  Honeydukes saw great potential in him, and gratefully welcomed him in as one of their staff members.

He could almost taste it.  Well, he actually could if he wanted to.  And he already had.  But Ringo Cavendar was on the brink of an amazing discovery.  Peppermint and pomegranate.  Quite an odd couple, he thought.  But when mixed together, create one of the most beautiful flavors he’d ever tasted.

“Ringo! Get your creative butt up here. Break’s over and we’ve got customers!” Tanya, Ringo’s boss, yelled down at him.

“Just another minute! You won’t regret it!” Ringo yelled back, from the floor of the basement.

“Hurry it up then.” She said, then went back into the shop.

Almost.... “THERE!” Ringo practically jumped for joy at the finishing of the candy.  He marveled for a moment at the pomegranate-peppermint pixies.  He then put them in a bag and headed up to the main room of Honeydukes.  He couldn’t wait to see Tanya’s reaction.

Taking one of the sweets out of the bag, he enchanted it to fly over to Tanya.  She jumped a little when it first came to her, but then she grabbed it.  Looking over to Ringo, she gave him a skeptical look before putting it in her mouth.  Ringo watched intently as she tasted it.  Soon enough, there was a smile on her face.  This was a good sign.

“You’ve done it again, kid.  Think you can get more of these to sell this weekend?” Tanya asked.

“You bet!” Nothing could describe his excitement.  Ringo was a candy creating machine. With the approval of his boss, this made him even more excited.

But of course, he had to learn to contain himself.  Sure he would give some out as free samples, but he had to get back to his main job.  And he was to sell candy, not just make it.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:
Muggleborn Ringo has had a creative spark in his life ever since he first worked in his parent’s candy shop.  He loves making candy, as well as making friends.  Making people happy is another thing he enjoys.  Having just graduated from Hogwarts, he now finds himself working and creating things for Honeydukes.
