Dear Headmaster professor Mr. Greyfriar,

I hope your summer has been going good. I’ll miss seeing you at Hogwarts in the fall!

I know I haven’t written to you before, professor, but it’s something important. I guess I’ll just say it. Well, my friend Ollie, I mean Ollie’s mum, sent an owl to the new headmistress Anna Leeza Snark. About Ollie’s lycanthropy, so that she’s aware and knows how to handle it. But- this is the horrible part- she wrote back and said Ollie couldn’t go to school anymore at Hogwarts. She said it would be too dangerous. I don’t understand it. It’s just unfair. I know Ollie, and well, you and I both do, and Nico too, and we know that she’s responsible about this. She’s really careful. She’s not even at school during that time of the month (well mostly, there was that one time). Of course, I don’t need to explain it all to you because you know but I guess I’m just upset.

Well, scratch that, I’m really upset.

The point of this is, is there anything you can do? I don’t I mean I’m sorry to ask because you’ve just resigned. But I thought maybe you could talk to the new Headmistress? Or, maybe even talk to someone in the Ministry?

And is there anything I can do to help? I interned with Covi Gertrudis over the summer but… I plan on talking to her too.

So, I’m sorry to bother you, but please, if there’s anything, write back soon. I can’t.. I just can’t imagine going to school and Ollie not being there.

Thank you very much for your letter, but I'm deeply ruffled at the upsetting news it contained.  Olivia is a very good witch and I'm not at all happy Madam Snark has chosen this path.  Hogwarts hasn't banned a werewolf from attending for nearly two decades and that's because so many have worked so hard for werewolf rights.

No. Olivia absolutely must be at Hogwarts. I will be speaking with Professor Mainwaring, Madam Gertrudis as well as the Board of School Governors.  I have an old colleague on the Wizengamot as well: Jason MacDonell.

Write Olivia often - you might even consider sending gathering notes from her classmates so she does not fall behind.  She'll need a good friend.  And don't forget to confide in Professor Gunnar.  He'll be loyal to you both, I am sure of it.
