Joshua Harcroft
Samuel Harcroft ( I know he is inactive, that shouldn’t be for long)
Full Character Name: Charles Harcroft
Character Birthday & Age: July 1st 1997, 11 years old
City & Country of Birth: nearest city was London, England.
Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn: Half-blood, Pure-blood father, muggle-born mother.
House & Year: Gryffindor 1st year.
Wand: Holly & Unicorn hair
Physical Description: Charles is tall for his age, with the beginnings of a muscular build. This build comes from playing quidditch at Harcroft Manor with his father and older brother. He has brown hair and brown eyes like the rest of his family, however, he has distinguishing marks. One being a rather nasty scar on one cheek, gained falling out of a tree at Harcroft Manor.
Personality Description: Charles is a lot like his brother, generally kind and tolerant of most people, however, also like his brother, he has a ferocious temper. Attack a friend of his, and you can expect him to join the fight. Regardless of the consequences. However, it takes more to make him truly angry than it does Josh. He is also slightly more studious than Josh, born of a desire to prove himself, being the younger brother. You see, he believes (mostly erroneously) that he is being compared to Josh.
History: Charles was born on the 1st of July 1997. This made him less than a year old during the worst of the 2nd war. This means that he has no memory of that time, but also means that he has no memory of his aunt, Scireina Harcroft Riven.
Charles grew up in Harcroft Manor, along with his older brother, Josh. This included small Quidditch games, once he could be relied on not to fall off, swimming in the pool at Harcroft manor, and, importantly for Charles, listening to tales told by his father, Senior Auror Samuel Harcroft.
However, Charles only played Quidditch with Josh for a single year, as later that year, his older brother left to attend Hogwarts, leaving Charles at Harcroft Manor. Charles still enjoyed playing Quidditch with his parents and everything else, but missed his brother. However, he couldn’t mope around all the time. During the time his brother was away, Charles spent a lot of time in the Harcroft Library, trying to find out more ability Hogwarts, especially looking for information on the Sorting Ceremony. Unfortunately, there was none. (mainly because the one book that does say anything about it is at Hogwarts with Josh)
Of course, Josh came back during the Christmas and Summer holidays, but Charles is looking forward to the new school year, seeing his brother more and making new friends.
How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Charles is in Gryffindor due to his bravery and unquestionable loyalty.
Writing Sample:
Charles was swimming with his brother, Josh, in the pool at Harcroft Manor. It was a hot summer’s day, with not a cloud in the sky. It was quiet, or relatively. Charles and Josh were talking, preventing total silence.
“You going to tell me how the Sorting is done anytime soon, Josh?” Charles said to his brother
“No, Charles, you know it is a tradition not to tell incoming first-years” Josh replied.
“but still, why not tell me?” Charles asked, pretending to look upset. “and why can’t I find any books on it?” Charles added.
Josh laughed “Because, Charles, it is tradition. As for books, there is one, but it’s locked in my trunk, under an enchantment so only I can unlock it.” Josh responded.
“Awww” Charles responded, then suddenly splashed Josh . Hey, he was 11. Josh should expect him to be immature sometimes.
Sum up your character in one paragraph: Charles is a Harcroft, through and through. A fierce, fierce friend, with a ferocious temper when provoked.
