Physical Description: Since childhood, Dennis has always been rather short for his age.  He was reputed to be the shortest kid in Hogwarts during his years there.  Though adolescent growth spurts did help some over the years, at 5' 6'' Dennis still looks up to many people he encounters - especially those of his own gender.  His figure is slender with some well-defined muscles of an athlete.  His overall impression is of one who's an impressive and tough young man who's just been shrunk down.

Over the years, Dennis hair has lightened to a darker blond with sun exposure and maturity.  It still has some of the moppy floppiness it had when he was a child and his time spent trying to achieve the perfect stage-ready appearance hasn't helped much.  He does, regularly, to keep it well-layered to help achieve that disheveled and highly unkempt look.

He chooses to dress, primarily, in muggle attire though the prevalence of long trenchcoats does give some semblance of a wizarding appearance.  His attire is almost, exclusively, casual as he finds very few reasons to dress up in the course of his normal week.  Jeans, t-shirts, maybe an occasional stretched and wrinkled dress shirt if the need arose.

    Personality Description:
As a youngster, Dennis had always been an outgoing and gregarious young man.  Though not exactly a daredevil, Dennis always approached challenges with an obvious sense of adventure.  He didn't seek out trouble but he never shirked or shied away from it.  Dennis was never one to seek out the spotlight or be the center of attention but he didn't avoid it either.  Though muggleborn, as a youngster, Dennis was very enthusiastic and optimistic about being a wizard and entered Hogwarts with that strong sense of enthusiasm.

Even when he was young, Dennis had a hint of rebellious social consciousness.  Personal moral and ethical beliefs often superseded rules, but never to an excessive degree.  Dennis slipped out of school as a second year to attend the first Dumbledore's Army meeting in Hogsmeade, but he wouldn't commit extra-ordinary transgressions.

Family has always been an important concept to not only Dennis but the whole Creevey family.  While he was especially close to his brother and parents, the concept of family extended to those who he felt close to.  Friends were always held quite dearly and he was fiercely loyal to them.

Dennis' year on the run from the Death Eaters proved to, initially, strengthen many of these traits.  His sense of social consciousness and his determination to maintain his place in the wizarding world were further enhanced especially as he, his brother and their group of fellow young fugitives began writing songs and performing them for the Potterwatch underground broadcast.  This sense of purpose and rebellion was among the few activities they could partake in and, as a result, it became their only outlet.

His resolve and sense of determination faltered some when, during a midnight raid, the group was forced to scatter and they lost lost track of each.  It was especially after becoming aware of his brother's death that much of his youthful optimism finally faded.  It was replaced with a dull feeling of abandonment and uncertainty.  Much of that determination and social awareness remains but it has been tainted by a certain degree of personal defeat.  Dennis feels a bit disconnected from the wizarding world and he uses music as his primary emotional outlet.

Dennis remains a little lost without his brother.  He, currently, lives almost entirely within the moment, neither focusing too much on the future as it often leads to thoughts of the past.  He leads a rather typical rocker lifestyle with a few too late nights, too many drinks and, as adults call it, little in the way of mature, future-oriented responsibility.

    History:
Dennis was born the second son to muggle parents.  His father was a milkman and his mother was a stay at home mom, an unquestionable full time job.  With both Creevey brothers sharing an insatiable curiosity and sense of adventure, seeing to the two growing brothers was a never ending challenge.  Especially when strange occurrences began occurring around both boys.  Both Dennis and his older brother, Colin, attended a state primary school in Belfast for the first several years of school.

In the summer of 1993, a strange old woman in a funny hat came calling around the Creevey house.  The woman introduced herself as a professor from a school called Hogwarts and had come to offer Colin a place at their school.  It was an exciting summer as the Creevey family began to learn about the strange and exciting new world that Colin would be joining.  Given similarities in his behavior, it was little surprised when, two years later, Dennis was also admitted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

It became apparent that Dennis would embrace the adventure and excitement at Hogwarts on his first day when he fell out of the school boats and into the lake.  He was promptly tossed back into the boat by the giant squid, an event that Dennis recalled with much pride throughout his short time at Hogwarts.  Like his older brother, he was sorted into Gryffindor house and fell into the routine of classes and schoolwork with much the same vigor has his older brother, Colin.

Though their exuberance made them not the most eagerly received Gryffindors, both of the Creevey brothers became well involved with the activities in the school.  Dennis inherited his older brother's infatuation with Harry Potter and approached it with the same characteristic Creevey exuberance.  Though it never reached the same obsessive levels as Colin, Dennis did sneak out to Hogsmeade during his second year to join Dumbledore's Army along with his older brother.

Despite their exuberance, for whatever reason, ill-fate seemed to follow the Creevey brothers throughout their years at Hogwarts, though it seemed to take more note of Colin than Dennis.  Dennis can readily remember his brother's story of getting petrified by monstrous basilisk during his older brother's first year.  While, without question, the Creevey brothers believed Harry Potter during their involvement with Dumbledore's Army, it wasn't until the following summer that the fear of He Who Must Not Be Named's return became more widespread.

During the summer following Dennis' third year, Lord Voldemort took over the Ministry and began persecuting Muggleborns.  Unable to return to Hogwarts, Dennis and Colin, along with several of their friends, went into hiding in order to avoid being persecuted by the Muggleborn Registration Commission.  They were on the run for the majority of that year, passing the time by eluding capture and playing music together, frequently writing and submitting anti-Voldemort songs to the underground radio station, Potterwatch.

In the midst of a late-night raid during the early spring of 1998, the group became separated and, despite their best efforts, the brothers were unable to locate each other while remaining safely hidden underground.  It wasn't until several weeks after Voldemort's fall at the Battle of Hogwarts that Dennis was able to reunite with his family and learn that his brother had been killed at the Battle of Hogwarts.

Colin's death, the culminating point after a long year of persecution, hit the Creevey family hard.  Dennis was invited to return to Hogwarts the following year but it proved to be a trying and difficult year.  It proved very hard to catch up on the material lost during the previous year and prepare effectively for OWLs.  During that year, the group of friends that had been on the run during Voldemort's reign of power, informally brought the band back together in a way of remembering and honoring Colin.  Unable to concentrate and connect effectively with their classes, and after a missed year of school, none of the original band members were able to approach their OWL examinations with much confidence.

At Dennis' urgings, after their abysmal OWL grades, the group chose to leave Hogwarts to begin performing full-time.  They named themselves the Three Owl Standard.  The band settled in London and have found themselves a solid following, especially amongst those that listened to them during the days of Potterwatch.  In recent years, they've risen to a significant level of fame within Wizarding Britain.

What is your occupation? How do you go about it?
How did you get your current occupation?
How does your past and abilities justify your current skills?:

Dennis is a rock singer and helps write and sing the music performed by the band Three Owl Standard.  Not really a formal occupation, the band earned a following during the year of Voldemort's control at the Ministry when Potterwatch would play their anti-Voldemort songs.

    Writing Sample:
"What if we just bag the second half of the gig and head over to the Leaky Cauldron."

Dennis rolled his head back, peering upside down over the back of his chair at Luke.  The dark-haired drummer was chugging lazily at a pint of ale, and his shoulders shrugged haphazardly before he lowered the pint to the table next to his low chair.

"It isn't so bad.  It's a good crowd, at least."  Luke shrugged again and turned his attention to the pint.

Luke was right, as much as Dennis hated to admit it.  It was a good crowd and they were helping the night pass by quickly enough.  With a few more drinks and a just a few more moments of respite, they'd go out there and do their best.  Just like they usually did.

Bracing his hands on the arms of his chair, Dennis pushed himself to his feet and crossed the room to the door.  "I'm going to go grab something at the bar.  Be back before the next set."  It was still rather quiet in the hallway but the general din of the dance hall grew louder as he followed the dark corridor.  Once outside, the crowd of people began to both move closer towards him and edge out of his way at the same time.

Despite the tired lull backstage, the energy of the crowd was infectious.  He could feel the enthusiasm and the excitement and, after a few claps on the back (and even a few quick pecks on the cheek) his spirits were back up to their usual pre-show high.  Perhaps it was adrenaline - perhaps it was just habit but even as he stepped up to the bar he was in the late-night fun mood.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:  Up until the end of his third year, Dennis lived a fairly typical muggleborn childhood.  He'd been delighted to learn that, like his older brother, he would be attending a school for wizards.  A gregarious boy, mischief seemed to find him despite the fact that Dennis rarely went looking for it.  After Lord Voldemort's year of terror and his brother's death, Dennis has lost much of his younger vigor and optimism.  Even ten years after his brother's death, he is still fairly lost.  He tends to hide from this feeling of loss by engulfing himself in the speed and high volume of life as a rock musician.
