Physical Description: Samuel is a fairly tall, muscular guy ( muscular due to playing Beater at Hogwarts, and has kept in shape) who, if he concealed his face, would look younger than his 57 years. Indeed, he has yet to lose much of his youthful strength or speed, resulting in a lethal combination with his experience. However, he has several scars, including several on his cheek, and a very nasty one on his arm.
Personality Description: Samuel is a man of multiple personalities. He is one of the more paranoid Aurors in the Auror Office, yet none of this shows while around his family or friends ( though when out drinking, he has been known to be a bit tenser than usual) ( think not quite as paranoid as Moody). He is a fierce friend, and would do almost anything for his family.
History: Samuel was born in 1950 at Harcroft manor, his ancestral home. His early life wasn't anything remarkable, mainly playing Quidditch.
At Hogwarts, Samuel was a studious kid, generally kind, much like his son is now. In his second year, Samuel made the Quidditch team, playing the Beater position. Indeed, later on, he became Captain. Notable was talent in DADA and Transfiguration. Also notable was in his 6ht year, he started dating Laura Williamson, his future wife.
Come 1968, Samuel graduated with high marks in his NEWTs ( he had nothing below an E grade, and indeed, mostly got O grades.) meaning he had no trouble getting into Auror training.
During his time at Auror Training, nothing significant happened, aside from Samuel proposing to Laura, and they married soon after they both became full Aurors.
By this time, the First War was in full swing, and Samuel fought hard, especially as he and Laura had decided not to have kids until it was over. In fact, even aftre the war wa sover, thye still waited, since they doutbed Voldemort was truly dead.
On 20th december 1992, however, their first child was born, and Samuel was a daddy at the age of 42. Samuel was elated, and played an active part in the upbringing of the child, unusual for a pure-blood. Not that Samuel had ever been a traditional pure-blood. Around the same time, he received promotion to Senior Auror.
However, when Voldemort took over the ministry, Samuel resigned his post, Laura losing hers at the same time. Once, they had to fight off Snatchers, and his son was injured. Samuel was furious, and took his anger out during the Battle of Hogwarts the next day. During the battle, Samuel was one of the fiercest fighters, accounting for about 5 DEs on his own.
Subsequent to the battle, Samuel and Laura were given their jobs back, and Samuel returned to work. Laura didn't, as she was on maternity leave. Yes, she had been fighting while pregnant, and later that year, gave birth to a second Harcroft son. This was unprecedented, since the Harcrofts usually only had one son. Indeed, while Samuel had a sister, he never had a brother.
Since then Samuel has been concentrating on his Auror work, but was a changed man. The attack on Harcroft manor had made him extremely paranoid.
Now, Samuel is looking forward to the time when his first son will ( hopefully) be joining him in the office, and hoping his second son will eventually join him as well. Also, he is starting to feel a little sad that soon botjh his kids will be at Hogwarts.

A Senior Auror is responsible for capturing Dark Wizards and criminals that ordinary Hiwizards cannot. Specifically, a Senior Auror will handle the more serious cases, or will be training an Auror-in-training.

Samuel was in his office, still not quite used to being a Senior Auror, and had juts finished assigning Laura her cases for the day. He still wasn't quite used to being her superior, but then again, he was her equal in the investigation side, and a much fiercer fighter, though she was more than decent. Thinking along those lines, he drifted off into a reverie, thinking about how he had been when the First War had juts finished. He had been much more innocent then.... he remembered one of the cases particularly well.
“Stop right there in the name of the ministry of magic” Samuel's voice boomed out, as he chased after the Death Eater. He was flanked by his wife and by another of the Aurors. Suddenly, he had to duck, as a killing curse sped past, hitting the Auror next to him. As the auror crumpled, Samuel reacted instinctively. “ STUPEFY” he roared, and the jet of red light soared towards the Death eater, who had only cast the incantation so far. And never would, as despite a Shield Charm,, Samuel's Stunner was so powerful due to anger, it blasted the Death Eater off his feet, and the DE dropped down a mineshaft. Hearing the crunch, Samuel looked down the mineshaft, and looked away quickly. There was no way the DE could have survived. “ well, looks like it's back to HQ then. Then grabbed both Laura's arm and the arm of the dead Auror. Another victim of the war, even when it is winding down. He shuddered, and turned on the spot, apparating to the mortuary, dropping off the body, and then apparated with a crack with Laura to the Auror HQ.
The crack had been loud enough to startle Samuel, and broke his reverie. He hadn't imagined it, he had fallen out of his chair to land on the floor, and it seems, broke his hand. Pulling out his wand, he muttered “episkey” to heal the hand, and got up off the floor, and sat back down in his chair. Then he got back to paperwork.
