[June 20] Graphorn Spotted in Budleigh Babberton on August 10, 2009, 05:02:11 PM Friday, June 20, 2008Graphorn Spotted in Budleigh Babbertonby Herman HernandezAs the end of another semester at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry draws to a close, excited children run rampant through the streets of their homes. To their utter amazement, they aren’t the only things running through their normally peaceful neighborhood. Parents and concerned citizens have been complaining for quite some time about fences broken down in the middle of the night and trash bins dumped long before sunrise. Sources have confirmed that the damage could only have been done by a creature of great strength.“I sawed it, I did,” exclaimed a gleeful young witch, while sucking her thumb. “It was really, really big! And it had these two really big horns! And it looked hungry. I ran back home to get it a sandwich, and when I got back it had disappeared!” Upon further investigation, we found that no less than four other members of the community had seen what they could only describe as: a large monster with big horns. According to them it walked on all fours, and was notably called ‘ugly’.After further investigation from a self-proclaimed ‘beast hunter’, the creature was identified as an Erumpet; however, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander clearly states that Erumpets are found mainly in Africa; and as the trash bins had not been exploding, The Prophet quickly ruled out that option. Much to our (and indeed, the people of Budleigh Babberton) delight, the animal has been caught and classified by Ministry personnel as a Graphorn.Though sightings of such creatures are rare, it is not unheard of. Members of the Ministry of Magic say that the creature usually travels in a pack. Graphorns have been given the Ministry of Magic rating of XXXX, so be cautious. If you happen across a creature matching the description, DO NOT APPROACH!Let a member of the Ministry of Magic know immediately.Clean-up services to help absolve the carnage created by the creature will commence this Saturday, at around noon. Those wishing to be involved may contact mayor Olivia Olishire, by owl. Submitted by Michael/Charlie Robards Skip to next post
