Physical Description: Caspar is an average, handsome boy.  Standing at 6'1, his height is on the taller side.  His young body is still recovering from a massive growth spurt, as shown by his thin frame.  His hands and feet are both large, though his hands look much bigger as they are attached to rather skinny arms.  His face is accentuated by high, protruding cheekbones, and his nose is long and thin.  He has very thick black eyebrows and hazel eyes, which though sometimes appear blue are usually always gray.  He has darker hair that he is growing out, much to the disappointment of his mother.

Personality Description: Caspar is a very complex young man.  He is fiercely ambitious, a trait that his fellow Slytherins find hard to compete with despite their own desires for fame and power.  A ruthless competitor, he is not afraid to step on anyone's toes, and finds it hard to swallow that anyone can be better than him at anything.  Friends he has, though Caspar finds himself bored with them easily.  He much prefers being left alone, though at times he finds it necessary to be the center of attention.  He has a dark, critical sense of humor, and can be quite condescending at times.  His relationship with the opposite sex is. . .simple.  Despite his nastier tendencies he manages to get a few, and he, invariably, gets bored with them and dumps them without a second thought.  He finds it hard to find in love, to really have a connection with another person.  Though some of his closer friends have theories as to why this is, Caspar knows the real reason is due to his lack of knowledge of just who he prefers: men or women.  This is a secret he guards fiercely.

He possesses a firm set of beliefs, though they can be hardly called morals.  He is more than willing to admit that at times, he’ll have to sacrifice relationships in order to be successful.  He is strong-willed and focused, and has little patience for others who are not the same.  He much prefers working by himself as opposed to a group for very few people are up to his standard of work.  Three words people would describe him with would be harsh, cynical, and independent.  Smiles are a rare site upon his face, but that’s not to say he’s not a happy person.  When it comes to rather weak emotions he isn’t a fan to share them.  However, if he is angry, jealous, or depressed, he makes no effort to cover it.

History: Asher and Camilla Yule gave birth to their only son, Caspar, on November 8, 1990.  The Yules were a well-known, high-class family based in London, where Asher worked for the Ministry as an ambassador and Camilla as a designer of ridiculously expensive dress robes.  Needless to say, Caspar was born into an opulent lifestyle.  His early years were bliss.  Constantly showered with gifts, attention, and love by everyone in his family, Caspar knew very little strife as he grew up.

The Yule family grew as two daughters joined the brood; Ava in 1994and Sadie in 1995.  Caspar took on the big brother role well-enough.  Naturally he suffered from a loss of attention and gradually gained a fair amount of responsibility over his younger siblings as he grew older.  As time went on and his mother's business boomed and his father began to receive promotions at an alarming rate, all three of the Yule children suffered from the absence of their parents.  Reluctantly, Caspar eased into the role of a role-model for his sisters, though at times his rather cynical personality created some tough bumps in the road.

Then things began to change rapidly.  It was 1996 and Voldemort, a name Caspar recognized but knew little about, had returned.  Camilla returned home, her robe company a mere dream of the past.  Asher seemed permanently absent from the home, and despite being so young Caspar knew that something was wrong.

A year later Voldemort had taken the Ministry, and much to Camilla's anger Asher stayed on.  Caspar couldn't understand how his mother could be so angry with his father, especially when Asher was coming home much more frequently, trying to reassure his family that life would be better, that things would change for good.  But the better life was soon shattered.  Voldemort was killed and his followers who didn't meet the same fate were thrown into Azkaban.  Asher was one of them.

Asher received a twenty year sentence, for though he was a devoted member of Voldemort's Ministy he never received the Dark Mark nor did he take part in the Battle of Hogwarts.  The Yules, once a happy family, were now officially torn apart.  But they took it in stride.  Camilla returned to work, and a very healthy income streamed in once again.  Caspar, already more of a father figure to his younger sisters than his father ever had been, took over as the most important male figure in their lives.

And so it went on for a few more years until finally it was Hogwarts time for Caspar.  He was pleased to discover he was not the only child with a disgraced family member in Azkaban on Hogwarts Experss that day.  However, the general student population was mistrustful or made it no secret that Caspar was an outcast, before even being sorted.  Caspar couldn't help but develop an extreme dislike for the offspring of the victorious, for undoubtedly their parents were responsible for his father's imprisonment.  During the long train ride to Hogwarts Caspar hoped he went to Ravenclaw like his mother, as opposed to Slytherin like his father.

It seemed that before Caspar even has his behind firmly planted on the stool the Sorting Hat had made it's decision: Slytherin was to be his home during his seven years at Hogwarts.  And that made the road ahead extremely difficult.  No matter where he went, Caspar and his fellow Slytherins were constantly hounded for their ancestry.

The following years were tough, but each one got easier.  Slytherin House was disgraced, but the students in it were doing everything in their power to come back from it.  Of course fights still broke out, and Caspar found himself at odds with other students a lot, especially those self-righteous fools from Gryffindor.  He was under the impression they were threatened by him, whether it was for his intellectual gift at magic, or his physical ability at dueling.  Either way, Caspar found himself generally guaranteed victory, save for few very special cases.

When Ava and Sadie came to Hogwarts, he was sad to see them both sorted into Ravenclaw, but thankful that they would have an easier time than he did.  When his fifth year rolled around and he took his O.W.L.s he was pleased to receive 10 of them; "O" in Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Charms, and Transfiguration; "E" in History of Magic, Care of Magical Creatures, Arithmancy and Astronomy; and "A" in Divination and Ancient Runes.

He is currently pursuing N.E.W.T.s in DADA, Charms, Transfiguration, Charms and Arithmancy.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Caspar is the perfect Slytherin.  He is extremely ambitious, cunning, and particularly ruthless.  He has little interest in repeating the past however, meaning he regards blood purity as an issue of the past.  He is, however, intesely interested in the Dark Arts.  His egotism doesn’t care to notice that the path that he is taking is extremely dangerous and illegal, nor is he willing to acknowledge his friends suggestions to move on.  His extremely arrogant-nature is also a natural trait of all Slytherins.

    Writing Sample:
The gray, downcast morning did very little to improve Caspar’s mood.  Having stayed up til the wee hours of the morning trying to study for an Arithmancy test, he was unable to get the rest he needed.  His long nights of studying in the Slytherin Common Room were finally catching up to him.  He made his way swiftly across the Entrance Hall in order to get to breakfast, but he was sidelined immediately as two boys, both in Slytherin robes, flanked him.

“Morning Cas!” said the one on his right, swinging an arm over his shoulders.  “Heard you come up to the dormitory last night at what, three o’clock?”  The other boy laughed and shook his head as they made their way to the Slytherin table.  “You know that isn’t healthy.”

Caspar shrugged off his friend’s arm and rounded on him.  “Yes, well, neither is it reccomendable to receive the dismal grades you possess, David.  You see, unlike you, I’m trying to get somewhere.”  The words were cold, yet Caspar’s voice was little more than a whisper.  Needless to say David put his hands up in surrender and sat down without another word.  Conversation ended momentarily as they ate, though Caspar’s meal was interrupted every now and again as turned the pages of the book he was reading.

“You know,” Cas began slowly, his long fingers reaching out and grabbing a salt shaker, “I can’t remember the last time I got into a duel?  Odd, isn’t it?” he said to no one in particular.  It was common knowledge that in his earlier years at Hogwarts Caspar found himself involved in a duel quite often.

“Is that right?” David said, wiping a napkin over his lips.  “Want to fix that, Cas?”

Caspar couldn’t help but give him a wry smile and a wink.  “Oh, you have no idea.  However, I’d rather provoke it rather than intiate it.  Looks better that way,” he said nonchalantly, and with a flick of his wand he caused a pitcher full of pumpkin juice to dump itself upon the heads of three unsuspecting Gryffindors.

Amid the curse words and shouts coming from the Gryffindor table, Caspar and this two friends laughed loudly, calling the attention to themselves.  In a blink of an eye they found themselves splattered with porridge as the three sopping wet Gryffindors retaliated.
With a gruff clearing of his throat Caspar launched his tall, thin frame to his feet and pointed his wand at each of the Gryffindors in turn.  “One for each of us, boys.  Let’s have at them,” and with tremendous flourish he sent his first curse flying towards the middle Gryffindor, knocking him to the ground.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:
Caspar is an arrogant, conceited, yet sophisticated young man.  There’s very little he won’t do to become successful, which makes him a potentially dangerous foe.  He sees himself for as a man who doesn’t need the emotional attachments of close relationships, though he still finds himself with many friends.  His infatuationand curiosity with the Dark Arts only grows stronger by the day, and despite his feelings as a younger child for his father, in his teenage years Caspar can’t help but admire Asher, and feel a need to continue his legacy.
