It is clear that this letter has been read by more than a few people before coming to the hands of Jason MacDonell.  There are the traces that it has been inspected for curses or hexes or any hostile runes.

    Dear Mr. Jason D. MacDonell,

Regarding our long friendship from approximately 1985 until my unfortunate incarceration in 1998, I have written to engage in some nostalgia about our many happy memories together.  As you will like remember, I toiled without rest or hestitation to imprison the many Death Eaters and rabble-rousers you caught by whatever sloppy, thoughtless means you were able.  What fun times those were!  Me, accomplishing fine work despite your impassioned bungling.  And you, doing your very best!  I remember those times fondly.  I hope you do as well.

To our mutual elation, I'm quite sure, you did very well at your paperwork.  Really, your margins were quite professional.  So dismal they were overshadowed by all the terribly dirty things I know about you.

I want us to remain the happy friends we were in those days.  I understand you now sit on the Wizengamot, but I did wish to extend this invitation nevertheless.  I will be in Courtroom 7 the Monday following today.   I think you will find all my paperwork will be in order and the proceedings should be swift.

Perhaps we can sit tea together afterwords for more reminiscing, for I'm sure the formality of a hearing will take only a few minutes.

    Best friendship and regards,
    Theodora L. Kingstreet

P.S.  The Daily Prophet has reported on our happy reunion! I feel like the Minister of Magic himself.  Such a fuss being made.  I blush.
