Fine.  Apparently, she had a limit when it came to how far to take the quidditch analogies.  Well, if she was squeamish about taking about what happened when the baby came out into the world, she was in for it when it actually happened.  Another reason not to let a thing like a baby get in the way of quidditch.

Of course, abandoning the anology did make it harder to talk about it in public, without spreading gossip, but oh well.  "Me mum used t' say if yer cravin' sweets and carryin' high, yer gonna have a girl," she added with a shrug.

Mairead pursed her lips in thought.  Maybe telling Greyfriar she was considering leaving would help.  It was also possible it'd make him stubbornly try to convince Mairead to stay.  He seemed the type to hold to the belief that all could be successful if they just tried hard enough!  Well, that would be Alex' hurdle to cross.

But, then, the conversation too a sharp turn in an unexpected direction.  Surprise registered briefly in Mairead's expression before it fading as quickly as it came.  She didn't know how they'd respond to Mairead leaving school.  She hadn't talked to them about it.  Of course, it had been almost a year since she'd last seen them - so how was she to know what they'd think?

Not that she intended to share such details with a stranger, even if they were a quidditch player.  "They're fine with it," she finally offered, not at all phased by the lie.  "They want me to stick it out to first exams but, after that, they just want me to do somethin' I like."  Then, with a bright smile, she added.  "Just so long as I get them tickets to me games!"

"Ah, so craving blood of the innocent, must be a boy then." She replied with a soft smirk at the idea of sweets being for a girl, she didn't think the girl infront of her believed it at all either, it wasn't founded in much, although at the same time, her mother had actually had a child, so who knew if it was accurate or not in the end?

"I've not really had...well....Some." She confessed weakly, not wanting to really talk about it, it felt somewhat weird and personal, but at the same time she had fully confessed about her pregnancy and were discussing the...bats and the hoops of it all. "I've had some..." She muttered.

She took another sip of her drink softly before she continued with. "It has mostly been with apples and bacon in sandwiches." Her face turned a slight red as she admitted to it.

Alex was ultimately unsure about if she was lying or not when it came to her parents, she didn't have a reason to doubt the girl, she had been helpful so far, but at the same time, the girl seemed....familiar, perhaps Alex was taking a liking as she seemed similar to a younger version of herself, or it was the hormones making her care for the brat that had scared off the awkward girls.

But the fact her parents seemed so fine, with her leaving after her first exams to join a game she might not go pro at, seemed dubious to herself. But for now she would take the girls  word for it all.

"If they're fine with it, and if not, well I got a spare bedroom for awhile and could be good to have a nanny on site." She teased her as she sipped once more at her tea, winking at her to show she was just playing around with the offer, that was far much of a leap for some random girl she happened to meet at a cafe.
