Alex was already having a bad week, having been shown up in a match where not only did they lose, but everyone had to protect her during the match, she hated it, it was horrible to be the one getting defended, especially when that was her job. Sure there was another Beater, but her job was to be the one defending the others not having a Chaser get knocked off his broom and breaking his arm along with several ribs to stop herself from being hit by the Bludger. It was horrible and she hated it so much.
Now she was on hiatus from the team, another thing she hated, she was on the payroll still but what happens when she's out of practice and if her replacement was better? She'll be off the team regardless, and it gave her too much free time, she didn't know what to do with it all. She had things she liked but that got boring fairly quickly when she had absolutely nothing but them to do.
Worst was she knew there was a chance if people recognized her they might ask what was happening, she heard one report about her going on hiatus already this morning on the wireless and it just got annoying really. She wasn't even the star player, how slow of a news week was this? It was horrible and she hated it, even if it was just one report.
She sighed slowly and took some deep breathes, moving up from her couch as she headed to the kitchen in her flat, it was a neat little four room place, two bedrooms, one with an ensuite being hers, a living room, a bathroom and a kitchen. Sure the kitchen was small and had one of those little window flaps but it was good to have it in its own little area. She of course had her ensuite enchanted, with a flip of the lock by using your wand on it, it turned into the broom cupboard with her uniforms and brooms inside, along with some basic quidditch equipment.
Once in the kitchen she poured herself some water to help her calm, before she heard a knock on her door, she didn't like the sound of that, she summoned her dressing gown to throw over herself, covering herself in case it was someone she didn't want, not many knew where she lived but...people could find you from such small things... She didn't want to be caught out in a tanktop and shorts by a camera.
She walked to the front door and unlocked it, before opening it.
"Hello?" She asked in a half tired, half bored tone, with a small hint of annoyance.
