Meredith was up early. It was her turn to help with the animals. She had volunteered. It was good experience for her NEWTs. And she liked it. But she did not admit it often. She wore her oldest coat. Boots. Scarf. Woolly hat. Hanging out of her pocket were dragon hide gloves.

"Destination, Determination, Deliberation." Meredith said quietly to the Diricawls as she sliced their fruit. "That is what they teach us. How to apparate. We have to learn. Do you have to learn?" They would not answer. They fluttered their bluish-pink feathers. Pecked at the fruit. In their magically warm pen. "I hope if I need to escape danger I do not splinch." Merry told them. "They showed us pictures of splinching. And my father told me about splinching. He said they see a lot of it on the wards. He works in spell damage. Here." She held still. Waiting to see if the bravest diricawl would take it from her sticky hand.

Yesterday she went to Hogsmeade. Slipped into Zonko's while everyone was staring at the protest outside. She still might go back today. She could not imagine the protest would be on again. She had not stuck around to see. She had met her father instead. That was when he had told her all about splinching again. Put her right off the strawberry jam.

"Oh!" A noise disturbed Merry. The Diricawls disappeared and reappeared in their hutch. Disappointing. She looked round. The peach slice dropped from her fingers with a wet slap.

She yawned as she walked down to the birds, muggles called them the Dodo she believed, believed them to be extinct. All the better for them, they wouldn't notice alot of things that are right in front of them, they were extremely gullible. Their own 'magicians' just being cheap tricks, she'd learned some of them, she was fond of it, but they really were dumb people. Easily fooled, although some of the stuff they'd managed was interesting, giant metal birds that flew about the place, she still didn't trust them however, she didn't fancy a world without mood changing lipstick or something as simple as the Floo Network.

Allura was hoping to get some fresh air before going to Hogsmeade later, she wasn't sure if to invite Grimwold again or go by herself, she knew her mom was likely to be about Hogsmeade so perhaps it was best to go by herself. Her mom was...alot. If he was so smitten by her, he wouldn't last a minute with her mom, a Veela working as a fashion model was an extremely dangerous combination to have around.

She froze as she felt a twig snap beneath her and some further noises as if in response, then she came through the bush into the clearing.

"Oh, Meri. What are you doing here?" She asked gently, she wasn't prepared to meet people and wasn't sure what act to put on, if any at all.

"Allura. Hey." Merry was not sure if she was glad. The other Slytherins thought this was chores. Thought Professor Onuris should do it. Allura did creatures. But her OWLS. Merry finished her OWL last year.

"I am.. was ... feeding the diris. We take it in turns." She blushed. Looked back at the hutch. The diricawls were hiding still. Huddled. Merry found her confidence. "For our NEWTs." She shook the fruit juice off her hands. Stood up. "What are you doing here?" Asked Merry. "Not sleeping in?"

Yume Walked on the corridor trying to familiarize herself with everything around her. The Last night took quite a lot on her Mind. She...lost her temper for sure, She said Hard things not a doubt on that, but was she ashamed, or even regret what she said to that man, oh most definitely not. Would she be punished for saying harsh words, or defending others?! Well she would take the punishment with joy and pride. She Sigh a bit while she wonder around and, as to be expected, she was lost. where was this place?...what...were those sweet and cute sounds. She Walked Slowly and delicately each step being placed in front of the other while she was carrying a container with a favorable fruit green tea, no sugar added or honey, only the fruits sweetness.

She approach the place and see the sweet little and big Diricawls, oh how beautiful and gorgeous creature they were, they were believed to be extinct, but they were nothing like that. They were just an smart creature with an smart ability of survival. She was not able to contain her mouth making a sweet and amazed sound with her mouth

" Awww they are so precious and cute....they are one of the most fine creatures...so sweet... Oh..gosh I..said it out loud..."

*she blush "trying" to hide behind something that definitely did not cover her entire body, while some had amazing survival skills, Yume, definitely Lacked  a bit of them. *

Quiet did not last long. Merry did not know the girl's name. But she did recognize her from yesterday. She had been shouting with Zeta Pepper.

"No filter huh?" Remarked Merry. "Like yesterday." She smiled smug. Looked at Allura. Fellow snake. "I saw. Outside Zonko's. I heard mostly." Merry shrugged. "Meredith." She held out her hand to shake. It was still sticky with fruit juice. "You never seen diricawls before?"

Allura relaxed a little at how relaxed Meri was being, that was good, she could let down her guard, she was going to explain that she was more just lost then anything, having just rambled through the grounds as a morning route, although Meri seemed happy to be tending to the creatures currently, so that was good, and of course the creatures were adorable, the class was enjoyable, the creatures were...usually nice also. She still didn’t understand how the books were allowed at all.

Before she managed to say anything however another figure emerged, she thinks she recognized her, shouting at the protest the other day as she watched. Waiting for Grimwold to get his act together, she gave a nod over as she moved more to Meri’s side, partly to back her up and to get closer to the creature.

“Allura.” She said plainly, she didn’t need to put on an act currently, she wasn’t in a bad enough mood for it, and it was early, that was alot of effort to make herself something else currently, besides its not as if she didn’t get helped by her charm constantly anyway.

“Aren’t you in my year?” She asked softly, she couldn’t quite remember, there were alot of students in her class, and most kept their faces in books or...were weird.

Yume Looked towards the 2 Girls and Smile sweetly She bow her head and Hear What The First one had to Say, yeap She was there on The Protest, and Was proud to be there as well. She Looked To her hand and shake as well without problems.

"Yume, ah hehe...Yes sometimes I just Speak my mind...it cause me some troubles...Nice to meet you Two! "

*She Look to The creatures and Smile*

" Never in person...they are just so cute and fascinating. I have a soft spot for all the magical creatures...oh...Allura...now that you mention...AH! I am from the same year! What a Delightful encounter. I still think that the hat place me on the Wrong house...as I am the type of person who wants to pet every creature....and that is not a very smart thing to do"

She chuckle sweetly looking to both.

" If... is not too much trouble, could I stick with you both?! I am a bit lost... seeing my first approach on the School was a protest I did not get to familiarize myself with the walls yet "

"Were you nearly a hatstall?" Asked Merry. She did not remember anyone being a true one. It was very rare. But the hat did take a minute sometimes.

"Sure. This place is so big I swear I still find bits I have not been in. I have been here five and a half years." Merry shrugged. It was not truly true but Merry was not always mean. She was a prefect. "I was feeding the diricawls. They are easily scared. If you want to pet something. Let's feed something else."

Merry beckoned. Two pens down. The cage was filled with houses and runs. But it was not for mice. Six fluffy custard blonde balls. Mostly sleeping. One long pink tongue was tickling the bars. Searching for insects. "They like to scavenge." Explained Merry. She picked up a bucket full of chopped vegetables and dead insects like cockroaches. "Help me hide it all."

Allura couldn't help herself but to smirk at the comment made by the girl, or the way she was acting, it wasn't a malicious smirk just more...bemused. The girl seemed a fairly typical Ravenclaw to her really and that was about it to her understanding.

"Petting every creature can teach you some valuable lessons. so perhaps Ravenclaw is the perfect class." She'd seen several beast tamers with multiple missing limbs, if anything they learned very valuable lessons and that was the true Ravenclaw curiosity and studying. She herself was fairly confident that she was in the right house, if there was an opposite to a hatstall then Allura was that, she didn't even think it touched her head before declaring Slytherin.

She followed along to the other creatures...Puffskeins!

"Did you hear there is meant to be a family in one of the bathrooms?" She asked softly as she  looked over the fluffy balls.

"Oh and sure, if you give me your timetable I can likely meet you after your lessons and take you to the next room. I know shortcuts." She didn't think professors would mind thaaat much...Maybe Storm.
