“Yeah, great idea Zeta. Let’s go.” Ambrose quickly piped up, appearing at Tim’s other side. His voice carried the same grown-up assurance he offered his beast handler colleagues at work when they’d told him a list of instructions and he was pretending he was confident. Theta had told him ‘fake it ’til you make it’ though with a disclaimer that it didn’t apply to actually handling the beasts, just as it didn’t actually apply to handling the stuff down on Nine.

“You alright?” Ambrose asked his younger cousin. Eta instantly babbled all about what had happened, and how she’d read it in the cards. Ambrose partially regretted asking, resigning himself to nod at what appeared to be the right places. He carried half a dozen spare placards under one arm as the group headed down the cobbled high street towards the most popular pub in the village.

Your sister is awesome… I am thinking a proper interview… Think you can get her aside?” Josie was in full reporter mode, and part of Theta felt terrible for trying to curb her friend doing what she loved.

“I can, I can see Jose - I just don’t want her painted as some troublemaker when you do write it up. That’s exactly how the manager’s going to frame her, especially as someone let the stink bomb off.” Theta gestured to the shop window, appealing as best she could to Josie.

Three Broomsticks?
   “Sounds good-
“Yeah, great idea Zeta. Let’s go.

The group were collecting their placards and leaving the area, though the banner still hung between the lampposts above Josie and Theta’s heads.

“Why don’t you come with us to the Broomsticks. I doubt Zonko’s has any more on the matter if they’ve closed for lunch. It Zeta wants to talk, you’ll find her there, and I’ll buy you a drink either way, make it worth your while.” Theta bargained, glancing from Josie to SAWS and back again.

"All right then." Shrugged Josie. She would come back to the shop later. For now she would help Theta take down the banner. Follow the kids to the Broomsticks. Ask some more questions. Relive her Gryffindor days.

Meredith watched her dad go. She felt a twinge of disappointment. She would see him later. But it was not just him. The SAWS group was leaving. She could not follow. She watched the older witches take down the banner. Saw the closed sign. She smiled smugly. Then turned away. Off to find friends again.
