    Plot Spotlight - Two-Faced Escape Attempt!

    Who doesn't love a good prison break? Or in this case, a clever and duplicitous endeavour to free the love of your life - one Mortimer Gamp - from St.Mungo's clutches. Kit's villainous Lyra Gamp has been parading around wizarding society, using her metamorphmagus skills to disguise herself as her eldest son Orion.

    Perhaps your character has flirted with danger in a harmless blind date event, or been so unlucky to have the wool pulled over their eyes by one's own mother. Either way, what a fantastic masquerade, leading up to an explosive confrontation at the hospital - though not without its hapless victims and the clever siblings who finally spotted the trick.

    With Lyra now in custody, will there be peace for the Gamps or is there still trouble to come?


    AU Plot Spotlight - Pirates!

    It is 1692. Wixes and muggles are sailing the open sea and settling new lands. The Salem witch trials have kicked off, and the Wizard's Council has just issued a new decree: the Statue of Secrecy.

    There's no better time to be a pirate!

    We're a wixxy, muggly, secretive crew and we're recruiting the best and the brightest (and the oddest and scraggliest) to join. Now. Please? Also, we need an oracle - our dear captain, Barnabas Cuffe says so. If you'd rather stay on land, there's lots of opportunity in the port of St. Cyprian.

    We made a minor but significant change to our Welcome block on the home page of Absit Omen. This Welcome block is visible to all guests, so in case any members missed it, you can read it below! The changes we made are italicized. Please let the curators know if there's anything else that would be helpful to include on Absit Omen.

    Absit Omen is an online Harry Potter role-playing game set in J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World. Writers from all over the world gather here to write exciting plots together.

    Though we write in a setting created by J.K. Rowling, we do not condone the author's transphobia and intolerance. Absit Omen is a safe space for liberal ideas. We encourage writers of diverse backgrounds, cultures, religions, and orientations to join and to create plots and characters that reflect their perspectives.
