Magically encrypted message to St. Mungo’s Hospital, London
To: Miranda Storm, Head Healer, Sandy Misslethorpe, Deputy Head Healer
Copied to: Yavin Morgenthau, Department of Mysteries, Harper Graves, Department of Magical Law Enforcement

The letter bears the Minister’s seal and will not open until touched by the fingers of a named recipient, and then the contents are unreadable by eyes other than theirs.

In lieu of any official report from St Mungo’s or DoM, I have ascertained from other parties that there has been progress[1] with the Musgrave case since mid-December.

As stated previously, the Ministry formally recognises St Mungo’s as a hospital not a place of incarceration for unfortunate souls in our community. Musgrave faces a lengthy formal trial which has already seen extensive delay while to accommodate the treatment and permitted research. It is not in the best interest of St Mungo’s nor the legal process if he remains at the hospital.

You are formally notified to conclude your study. The Department of Magical Law Enforcement will take charge of Musgrave at the earliest to set a date for trial.

I await your return.

Regards,

Edwin Glass

Thank you for your letter.

It would be helpful to know who the other parties are that have informed you of progress on our clandestine research. Perhaps these other parties are also experts in the matter of legilimency and mind healing?

It would also be helpful to know who, other than myself and the board of Warlocks leading the hospital, is in a sufficient position to decide on the best interests of St Mungo’s.

A study cannot be rushed, but must be concluded when the study is ready to be concluded. Currently, the study is unable to be concluded and forcing such actions will result in the entire study having pointlessly taken place.

Regards,

Head Healer
