[February 26th] The Wrong Ravenclaw (Noriko) on July 17, 2020, 06:39:04 PM Sunday's were weird days, they felt to stretch so long, its part of the weekend but its the day that felt the longest as you're waiting the entire day to go back to working the next day, if anything Akira wished there wasn't a weekend most of the time, weekends were boring, other then when something fun was happening, or it meant she could try new spells and practice more before school again, she liked to sometimes attempt surprising the professor, coming into class with the ability to cast a spell beforehand, however it didn't always work out, sometimes she would fumble it or she would be made to help others learn. Those were boring, but when it gave points it wasn't boring! She had just been happening to wander the sixth floor, she totally was not checking on some stuff she was testing, it wouldn't be liked if she was brewing her own potions, designed by her and brewed her herself, professors would not like that so she was totally not doing that at all. And that is why she was wandering the sixth floor, because she wasn't brewing her own dodgy potions. She spotted a hint of green though, she was certain it was a Slytherin, and so she had changed from wandering the floor because she was not doing anything to hunting down the spy. Why else would a Slytherin be wandering the floor if not to spy on Ravenclaw, well Gryffindor was also likely nearby but why spy on them? They aren't likely to have anything smart to spy on would they? Unless they were trying to steal plans for their quidditch plans. That was a possibility, and she should allow that if it was the case, but first she had to find the spy.She dodged from doorframe to doorframe, sneaky like a cat, feline as an Akira, she would find the spy and not be noticed, stealthily she moved as she did, however she was unable to find the spy again, perhaps they were onto her? Could the spy be an advanced Slytherin? Maybe have an object to help conceal themselves, Ravenclaw allowed anyone in if they could answer a riddle, so as long as you disguised or hid well you could get about the common room, steal homework, she had to make sure nothing like that would happen! The question was, was it even a Slytherin? Why would they be in uniform on a weekend? Were they in uniform? Akira needed these answers, she would get these answers. While questioning if it was a Slytherin, she spotted someone, she recognizes somewhat from glimpses of Eirene when she is another person, they looked similar, she couldn't remember the house. Perhaps they were a Hufflepuff? That would be a very clever thing for a Hufflepuff to do, everyone underestimates them, so they could disguise as a Slytherin to steal secrets as then Hufflepuff wouldn't be blamed. It had to be them! She ran at the figure! As she closed in she pounced at her target!"I got you Hufflepuff spy!" The fourth year students were only a little over a year away from their O.W.L.s, which meant, as several of their professors warned them on a regular basis, that every week counted. Noriko was determined not to let a moment slip away that she could spend preparing, and so she'd stuck religiously to the schedule that she and Eirene had devised back in the fall.Except... well, first Eirene had gotten sick and had missed the train back to Hogwarts. And now she seemed to be spending an awful lot of time with her Ravenclaw housemate, Frank Sellaphix, which wouldn't be weird except for the fact that Frank was both a boy and a year younger than they were. Noriko was starting to get concerned that Eirene was letting herself become distracted, which had all sorts of horrible implications for their O.W.L. exams, their hopes of becoming prefects, and their entire lives and careers after Hogwarts. It had been with that in mind, with a bag full of her books and study scrolls slung over her shoulder, that Noriko had begun the long ascent from the Slytherin's dungeon to the seventh floor where the entrance to Ravenclaw Tower was located. She had been so focused on going over the plan for the study session today in her head, planning for what they needed to review, that she didn't notice the figure creeping along behind her with catlike stealth until it at charged at her screaming.Noriko let out a shriek as she realized she was under attack. Quickly, with a speed and skill owed to years of paying close attention to Professor Storm's drills in class and at Dueling Club, her wand sprung into her hand and she pointed it at her assailant."EXPELLIARAMUS!" she shrieked, letting the spell fly with force. This was not how it was meant to go, she was meant to pin the spy and question them, how did she end up flying backwards. Oh no her skirt! Wait she's wearing jeans, nevermind then! But wait her wand! No wait...she hadn't taken that out either, she started to realize that perhaps just launching at people was not a good idea, if anything she should take more calm and measured approaches, perhaps eating less sugar would be a good way around that, help her to calm down and get better grades, if anything it would help her become an animagus if she was not always energetic on sugar, starting tomorrow she should start to have les-She landed on the floor with a THUMP and like that, the thought was gone, what was she thinking of? It didn't matter, she had the spy infront of her, an eep had escaped her as she was thrown back by the spell, this was not nice! She had beaten Frank in duelling how was she being caught up by this? She was the alpha!Akira quickly scrambled herself to her feet and brushed herself down. "Alright Hufflepuff, you may of hit me this time, but I have caught you! You won't be able to spy on Ravenclaw!" She said proudly, a smug glee adding a tone to her voice as she said so. "I know you are here to spy, so surrender yourself now!" She drew her wand and flourished it with a smile, they seemed older, could she duel? No, she couldn't, but it would be fun! Something entertaining to do! It's great! This was just like a movie!"My name is Akira Hericho, you killed my father! Prepare to die!" She smiled cheerfully Skip to next post Re: [February 26th] The Wrong Ravenclaw (Noriko) Reply #3 on August 29, 2020, 02:04:10 PM She'd hexed someone! Eyes wide, Noriko scrambled backwards, as if she'd been knocked back by the recoil herself. Oh, no no no no no! What had she done?! Visions of eternal punishment with Professor Storm, hung upside down by her ankles from the ceiling in his office while the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor scowled menacingly at her, swam through her head. She'd hexed someone! She might have even killed her! Noriko nearly burst into a sob. She was going to be expelled! She'd never be prefect or Head Girl, Eirene would shun her, Professor Storm would think she was irresponsible, and Professor Greyfriar would be angry and disappointed enough that he'd shame her in front of the entire school! Noriko could picture it now, standing pale-faced and trembling in front of the entire school as green emeralds began to fall at first in a trickle, and then in a great deluge, as the Headmaster shook his head in despondency and said, in his great grandfatherly voice, Noriko, I'm afraid you've lost ten thousand points for Slytherin..."Alright, Hufflepuff --" Noriko barely had time to register her relief that her poor opponent wasn't dead before she realized that the tiny girl in Ravenclaw robes was now threatening to murder her.She let out a shriek again and brandished her wand. "I didn't kill anyone!" she wailed, as she frantically backed up several steps. What was she supposed to do?! Dueling was much easier when she was lined up with her classmates in Dueling Club, practicing the same spell over and over again under the watchful eye of Professor Storm. But now someone was telling her that they wanted her to die!She had practiced Expelliaramus the most, but if they were really dueling, Professor Storm always said it was best not to be predictable. She couldn't use the same spell twice, but she also didn't want to hurt the girl! If her attacker was already this angry because she thought Noriko had murdered her father, how furious would everyone be if Noriko really killed someone?Panicked, she pointed her wand at the other girl's bum and shouted the first non-lethal spell that came to mind."Moliare!"[1] 1. She would not accept this at all and she didn't want to play anymore!Akira shouted out a shield, and in a huff crossed her arms. This game wasn't fun, it wasn't good now. That was a dirty move to try to pull. She appreciated the hustle but she'd never accept it against herself, its never fun to be bamboozled but it was always fun to bamboozle. It was the order of things, and a very strict one. She believed in bamboozlement."Why does no one here get anything I say?" She said in a slight strop, she didn't think the hufflepuff had killed anyone, that would be silly. She wouldn't be in Hogwarts if she had killed someone. She would be in Durmstrang."What are you doing here Hufflepuff? This is Ravenclaw terf!" It wasn't, it was a corridor, a nice corridor though. Akira had rarely seen a corridor this nice, even in Hogwarts where it was renowned for its corridors. However despite this, Akira was not seceding ground to the Hufflepuff, they had the tasty kitchen next to them, with all the nice treats and Elves inside, the Elves were cute and she liked them alot. She felt sorry for them however, but they were always so polite and kind to her and she was polite back. She should of been a Hufflepuff so she can get food easily from the nice elves! But no she has to walk like, over ten steps to get up and down the castle and it drained on her. Too many stairs!Keeping her arms crossed, Akira pulled out her signature look of superiority, she slightly raised her head with her eyes peering down. It hurt her eyes a little to look down her face at the girl but she knew she had to pull out the big guns for this one to get to know what the Hufflepuff spy was up to! Stay focused! -- still sounding in her ears. But the angry Ravenclaw had crossed her arms, which didn't look much like any dueling stance that Noriko and ever seen before, and seemed much more interested in shouting at her than in hexing her now."What are you doing here Hufflepuff?" she yelled. "This is Ravenclaw turf!"Noriko blinked at her. Then, because there didn't seem to be much risk in getting hexed if the other girl didn't have a wand pointed out her, she risked a glance down at her own robes. No, still green."I'm in Slytherin," she said admonishingly. There wasn't anything really wrong with the Hufflepuffs -- they weren't as annoying as the Gryffindors like Mairead tended to be -- but still. "And this isn't Ravenclaw turf. But," she added a bit haughtily, keeping her fingers wrapped tightly around her wand, "for your information, I'm going to meet my friend in Ravenclaw for our Sunday study session." For she knew she was correct in this situation! And would get to the bottom of this situation! For Akira was an ace detective! She could make Head Auror in a week easily, as long as it wasn't for where her socks were, socks just disappear, she's pretty sure there is a magical creature that steals them."Which Ravenclaw and I'll let you through our turf. This is the upper floors, therefore it belongs to Ravenclaw." She said in a stern tone, she needed to stand her ground, she wasn't going to let just any old Hufflepuff spy on the Ravenclaws, especially if they weren't even offering anything in return, they needed the house points and Akira needed sweets. Not to say she didn't have enough sweets to last...Which reminded her, she softly slipped a marshmallow from her pocket and put it in her mouth, proud of herself for winning this duel, despite the fact she called it off herself and was rather stroppy with the situation of it. Then she crossed both arms back over with a very proud and smug nod, almost as if she was proud of the marshmallow. Eirene was -- of course, she thought loyally -- the smartest and most clever of the blue-and-bronze-clad students, but most of them at least had a good head on their shoulders. She respected that they were far more serious about schoolwork than her Gryffindor classmates, who seemed mostly interested in Quidditch and getting into fights, or even Hufflepuff, whose population lately only seemed concerned with shouting loudly about werewolves. This Ravenclaw student, though, wasn't making any sense. Noriko eyed her warily, although she still didn't lower her wand. It was beginning to occur to her that this younger student was bossing her around in a way that wasn't very respectful, especially considering that Noriko likely had at least a year over her. A slight frown crossed her face as she watched the girl shove a very large marshmallow into her mouth. What was going on in Ravenclaw house? First Frank Sellaphix had decided he was going to shove his way in and be best friends with Eirene even though he was a year younger, and now this? Were the lower years in open revolt against their elders?"None of your business," she said, her eyes narrowing.
