I was thinking about dropping out, and applying here. You're the closest thing I've got out here, I figured I'd run it by you, you know? School isn’t going well. Like at all. I need a fresh start somewhere, a place that I can be quiet and learn for once. I know you do crime and stuff, so have you heard of this place? I like the idea of me defending people rather than being a bully. I hope this finds you well. -R Skip to next post Re: [March 3rd] It's Been Awhile. Four steps back, have a shot of something, and tell us again: you're thinking of leaving Hogwarts before you've sat N.E.W.T.s? It's only three more months. Can't you stick it out? I know it's the worst part, this last stretch, and as your chaos aunt I can't blame you for looking to what's next but ... are you really sure? It's rough out there on your own. Also, I don't do crime. I report on it. NiobeP.S. I know Crowe. She's completely bats and belfries. Harmless. Probably. Not even a smidge? All there is to your writing is the snaps, quips and cunning but no blemish under, “Journalistic Integrity”? Truly, if I wasn’t so interested in this position I would beg you to take me under your wing. Do you know her personally? Enough to sneak in a good word for me here and there. You know me, I hate applying myself then failing .No.. but really, help me with my resume or something. I’m tired of being in the Slytherin house. Skip to next post Re: [March 3rd] It's Been Awhile. You can drop my name and it should count for something. You're seriously going through with this? I mean, you're 17 - no one's going to stop you. Where are you going to live? Do you have any money? If you really are set on this, I'll help. At least as far as making sure you don't starve. NiobeP.S. Failure's going to be a part of this. Can't be avoided. Talisha sounds like my type of gal, for once I’m excited. Looking forward to something is nice. Join me in making this bad decision so that I can blame it on you if it goes awry. I have no idea where to live.I have barely any money left over from my, uh, “savings.” That means I have to get this job. Sweet, if I get it too, I can still wear my suits and suspenders. Obviously for me that is a must. Do you think I would make it in this workplace? Skip to next post Re: [March 3rd] It's Been Awhile. Really, strike it from your vocabulary. Talisha's a bit nuts, but if you want to succeed you have to take this seriously. Not a single person's going to think you're charming, I promise you. That's real advice, cos. Hard work and tenacity is going to get you a job, not smooth talking. Promise you won't embarrass me. Please, please, please.I can lend you some money for a deposit in a flat if you can find one. Check the Prophet for ads and don't feel like you have to live in London. You can always Apparate in until you get something better. You could get a room in the Leaky Cauldron but they fill up fast and will drain your gold faster than a flat. When are you going to do it? When's the big day? Have you told anyone else yet? Skip to next post Re: [March 3rd] It's Been Awhile. Reply #6 on July 06, 2020, 09:55:44 PM You’re right, patronizing old habits. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll try my best not to embarrass you, I promise. I actually want to do this, unlike NEWTS and all the other stuff. Thank you for the advice. I’ve already started to look and I shied away from London, since I’m a broke bloke. I really cant accept your money. I don’t know how much this stuff costs? Like its too much. I have only told you, it was a brainstorm thing you know? It’s kinda scary. I’ll drop out by the end of the week really. I just need a break. Well, I guess it isn't a break more of a snap and be gone, so I need out. P.S. I really have no one else to tell besides you. You are by far the most responsible adult I know.
