The Duelling Club had reconvened roughly every fortnight since its inception, with the exception of January where both its leader and a significant number of the participants were laid up with the magic-thieving malady. The older years had seen their opportunity to throw a few curses on the long platform, but the younger years were still itching for a go.

Professor Greyfriar could always borrow that healer from St Mungo’s again, couldn’t he?

As such, the following was posted in each common room and outside the Defences Classroom on the evening of Friday 17th February.

DUELLING TOURNAMENT
25th-26th February

Heats shall be held on Saturday, finals on Sunday afternoon.

Five house points per entry, further ten, and a cup, to each category winner.

1st, 2nd and 3rd Years
4th and 5th Years
6th and 7th Years

ENTRIES
Submit your name and house to the winged gargoyle on the first floor corridor before sunset[1] on Monday 20th February.
