Despite the uncertainty, Akira did manage to get home for christmas! Going into school during the start of term she was uncertain as to whether she would of, mostly because she wasn't sure if her mother could tolerate her for another Christmas, or her Sister wouldn't be able to go without hexing her. Both were frightening thoughts but her mother was perfectly fine taking her again and her sister had more patience then she believed. It also helped that her mother loved her dearly and her sister loved to tease her or else she may of had to spend Christmas at Hogwarts and away from her precious electronics! Even worse she'd have to see Professor Storm more! She would of barely been able to sleep with the idea of seeing him in the castle over Christmas. Halloween had already passed so it made no sense for him to be around!
Akira was happily sitting on the settee infront of the TV, she was perfectly happy! All the distant family, annoying cousins and the likes had all gone home, now she had her time on the big TV, which was perfect for her! She can play her games on a proper TV. But her sister had a better plan apparently, she had just gotten her console set up on the TV, then she went to get snacks as obviously thats important when she was to play games! But no, her sister rudely intruded and put on a movie! And of course she doesn't get a say cause she's younger then her sister.
Of course her sister put on bad stuff aswell, if she was to put on TV or films it could of been something good! Although she wasn't fond of this years Doctor Who special it would of been something interesting. Infact it would of been good if she could go through Doctor Who! Half the episodes where while she was in Hogwarts and she wanted to know about the episode with the Cyberman in it, but her sister was boring and didn't care for her interests. Which is what made her so boring! If she was into interesting stuff then she wouldn't be boring would she, but no her sister had some sort of romance film on or something, had a wedding and singing, she recognized an actor in it, Colin something. Her sister fancied him and she couldn't tell why, seemed like anyone who shared those features is boring and horrible to her.
Either way at the very least she could watch a movie, something she really missed at Hogwarts, wizards had such boring ways of entertaining themselves. All she had herself was books and those were dull, she could blast through one in a couple of days, how anyone found them fun when they weren't fiction was anyones guess.
But for now she had more pressing matters, like having something good to watch! She rushed to the player before her sister could notice and the film could start, and in a move some would consider ninja like, she put in a movie of her own choosing, this one was much better. It had vampires in it and a romance story. Thats basically the same as a boring old musical without vampires.
"Akira, bad." Her sister scolded with a small smirk on her face. "I'll let you have this for now, if you can tell me who you're dating in school."
"I'm not dating anyone!"
"Tut tut now, don't lie to me." She took a handful of skittles from the packet on Akira's lap. "And stop eating so many sweets, or you won't need Transfiguration to be a marshmallow."
With a hiss Akira slapped her hand and moved the packet onto the seat, less intrusive hands that way. "I'm not seeing anyone! Just because you couldn't wait to be knocked up and star-"
"Don't you finish that little lady!" Her mother called as she came downstairs. "Stop winding up your younger sister. And Akira stop being so easy to tease." She gave a worn out sigh before looking over both of her daughters. "Both of you behave alright? I don't want to hear you two bicker constantly, especially when you still don't have a job and use me for all your laundry." She shot a look at the older sister with a small smile.
Akira stuck her her tongue out at her older sis, then climbed onto the back of the settee and stood watch as their mother went into the kitchen. "I'm not easy to tease! I wanted to do something productive and she wanted to talk about boys!"
"I know you wouldn't actually have anyone, no one would be able to put up with you and sugar rushes." Her sister rolled her eyes. "I honestly hope you aren't just consuming them always. You are eating normally right?"
Akira, to her credit, balanced perfectly ontop of the settee back, then paced down up the spin of it to her sister. One foot in front of the other, just like she was taught in primary school in gymnastics. "I am popular." She thinks, there was nothing to make her unpopular. She was energetic but there were lots of people who were hyper! "I eat...food." She said in reply to the sweet question. She did have other food, enough to be anywhere healthy? No, absolutely not. But she didn't eat much meal wise so it had to be healthy right? Small portions, regardless of constantly eating sweets.
"How else am I meant to be awake during half the lectures without sugar? I barely sleep do I?" Akira started going back to her seat, one foot, two foot, red foot, blue foot...
"Maybe if you didn't eat so many sweets you could sleep."
"Maybe if you stopped being such a.." Akira gave a hup and jumped from the spine of the settee and landed back sitting down in her seat. "You could get a boyfriend." She was annoyed now, it wasn't her fault she struggles to sleep, and it wasn't the sweets fault, she did make sure not to eat any as it got close to her bedtime, she just struggled with sleeping, waking randomly or not being able to fall asleep. "Would you rather I tried coffee?" She asked her older sister.
"No, never again." She replied promptly, remembering the first, and last time Akira had been coffee. She didn't know it was possible to fly without a broomstick but they were never making that mistake again. "Just watch your fake romance, remember though, Vampires are nothing like that in real life." She sighed as she started to head into the kitchen, it was too early to put up with Akira properly, coffee would be a tremendous thing. Then she'd watch the horrible movie that her sister loves.
Akira settled herself down, taking to watching the TV, she was fully intended on making the most of the TV while she was away from Hogwarts. Although already she was missing the castle, but she was glad to be with her sister, even if she was the most insufferable person in the world with her boring adult stuff.
