Dear Knox,

Hi, it's Fauna. I hope you had a good holiday with your aunts? It's been a while!

I'm just checking in to ask if I can help with anything personally, or if you need anything from Level 2 for the upcoming full moon. I'm not sure what the plan is, with the two students. I know I'm being nosy. You can ignore this and I will understand, or just ignore that particular question, or you know, whatever you like.

Earnestly,
Fauna

Fauna,

My aunts are, as ever, eagerly dipping their toes into the mundane realm to offer their dotage and advice. They cooked up another cure for the Werewolf curse which I surreptitiously fed to a ficus. They trounced me in Wizards' Poker. All in all, a normal Christmas.

Your nosiness is considered a gift around this tower, so feel free to pry now and into the future. You know, for my part, I've never hesitated to do so in my life. To be honest, I've been putting off plans for this full moon. Some might condemn me for that, neglecting to orchestrate anything in particular, but I suppose I challenge them to propose anything. Things as they are, the safest solution seems to be our new normal course: Apparate to the the atrium from the gates and leave the security to the Ministry.

I have a sneaking suspicion yours won't be the only inquiry into our arrangements, but I prefer yours. I have nothing to ask of you, other than your continued nosiness.

Best,

K.G.

Knox,

I'm glad you had a good holiday! Mine was a nice break from work. I did come down with the floo-flu (I heard many students did too) but actually, it wasn't so bad, being on desk duty. I mean that it wasn't too horribly horrible. I mean I'd much rather never see a desk again.

You, known for prying? Um I can't think of an example. I can only think of one example. Just a dozen few examples come to mind.

I have learned from the best.

Thanks for letting me know your plans though. Sometimes it makes the most sense to stick to what works and what's simple. Nothing wrong with that. I've had no sign or inkling of anything at all that there's any reason to worry about your charges at Hogwarts (if there were I'd send bribe a few dozen aurors Trainees to stand guard out there, sorry), but I thought I'd check in. My only suggestion would be to leave the castle at a different time every full moon. And if you think of anything, I'm here, or if I think of anything, I'll send another nosy owl.

Happily not on desk duty,
Fauna
