Stoney embankment by the lake

Allura had been going for a nice quiet trip to the lake, admittedly it wasn’t the weather for it but she fancied just sitting and watching the lake for a bit, she had enough of people for now, or so she thought. Lessons had all seemed to drag on and on as she made her way through them all, but through them all she did like a good little student, never minding the fact she'd rather be anywhere else right now. Studying and getting messy with creatures was always terrible to have in the middle of the day, why couldn't they have it at the end of the day? It made more sense, you get messy with the animals, gives you enough time to get cleaned up before heading to dinner. But no it was straight to potions after, atleast it wasn't far from her house but it did smell even worse then usual. And not because half the boys likely didn't clean themselves that morning and resorted to other means. Several muggleborns insisted on weird mists that smelt of nothing natural.

She HAD been going for a trip to the lake, however what she spotted on the way down was worth her time she figured. Which to her a thing worth her time resorted to only a few things, those being gossip, when she's told to work or she will be given detention, and of course hanging out with her friends. Or like a good long bath where she can just relax, that was also worth her time.

Sitting on a log was one of her classmates, Lucinda, just sitting there and staring off into space. This was a good time to move on her, she had wanted some information from her for awhile, so this worked perfectly.
The information on what she should ask was something she needed to figure out however, what was worth asking, what colour her socks were wasn’t a good one, underwear was fun to make people immediately embarrassed. Bonus points if pink polka dots. She’d gone more intimate with it before but it gets boring quickly if they are into it.

Allura sauntered over towards the girl. “Lucinda right? I thought I recognized you, how you been girl?” She put on one of her smiles and sat next to the mopey werewolf. Taking a perfectly balanced and delicate sitting position as she did so, like she barely weighed a thing, which if it was ever brought up with her would earn you some rather nasty cuts and bruises as you get thrown through a school wall.

Lucinda wasn’t really aware of how long she had been on the log, it was early in the lunar cycle but still she was feeling off already. She really didn’t want to go through everything again, especially with the attack on the safehouse and Minister, it wasn’t likely to happen to her, it was unlikely to happen in the first place. But it did. And there were lots of other influential werewolves right? She wasn’t a target yeah? So she shouldn’t worry...but she could be next.

Its not like things couldn’t get worse either. There would be another SAWS and...she would mess everything up again wouldn’t she? She would ruin it and Zeta would look worse and...could she even see Zeta again properly? It just felt...weird to look at her anytime now, would Greer come? Headmaster surely knows so would he intrude? She felt he would give enough space so he wouldn’t but...if he thought it may cause distress to either he would follow them….an-

Her train of thought broke as another person approached, who was...oh its that Slytherin, same year, Allura, she remembered some things about her, but the two don’t really speak, no real reason to. Lucinda has….did have her friends. And Allura had her...admirers. Lucinda wasn’t jealous...Allura got along well with boys. She didn’t really care….but that smile cut into her.

“O-oh hi….Allura…” She said awkwardly as her cheeks heated up, the smile ruining her mopey mood. “U-uh yeah...I’m doing fine...I guess? Like...everything...uh…” She was tripping over words and she didn’t like it, her eyes looked away as she wrapped her arms around herself.

Allura meanwhile, couldn’t help but giggle, she wasn’t sure if Lucinda either was caught perfectly unaware and couldn’t compose herself, or she swung that way. Either was fine with her although it made things more interesting, although could she trust the girl if she was into her? It meant she was able to be manipulated, but atleast she wasn’t a boy...there is that.

So atleast she has a card to potentially play, her hand moved to rest onto the wolf girls arms. “Heey, whats up? You can tell me.” There wasn’t a reason to trust her, not a single reason to tell her either. Infact she’s likely one of the worst to tell, although according to some she’s heard, she slapped Rigel real hard then got knocked on her arse. So perhaps there is a few worse then herself to tell.

“What sort of problem is it Lucy?” She rubbed the arm softly, doing her best to be comforting to the poor girl, she didn’t feel right about manipulating a girl into telling secrets, well maybe not that much. If she really felt guilty about coaxing information from someone who’s emotional then she won’t use it unless it could help the girl. That seemed like the mature thing to do.

“Is it say...romance problem?” She had heard something about her and another student being awkward whenever they look in the others direction. “Hhhm, or say a girl problem? Oh or is it a werewolf problem?” She knew about that part, it was hard not to know, been almost a month since SAWS, how could everyone not hear about her freaking out and screaming about her injuries, it solved her being late into the year and disappearing, along with why she was leaving the castle with Knox and the other well known murder- werewolf.

Lucinda was nervous now, she was asking...personal questions...and its not like she hadn’t said personal things to people before...first time she’d met the headmaster she had spilled some personal information. And she had spilled the whole being a werewolf to Zeta after only meeting once. So its not as if she was good at keeping secrets really or holding onto things.

The girl was reassuring and...fairly pretty. She shouldn’t tell just cause the girl was pretty, but she was not seeming to be the type who would spread any secrets was she? She didn’t really have many friends, or any. She needed someone to talk to, Zeta was a no go. How was she meant to talk about Zeta to Zeta? It didn’t work that way. Greer? She wasn’t sure if she mentally progressed past eight. Eirene? She hadn’t done the essay yet, the headmaster was 100% a no go! Absolutely not!

“Well...uh...girl problem means problem with a girl right? I asked out someone...and she didn’t...return the same way.” She said in a slow and somewhat calculated tone, although totally not at all, she was just struggling to get the words out. “She said I’m more like...a younger sister..I don’t even know what that means…” She moved her hands to feel the other girls, nervously she turned her head up to look into the other girls eyes.

Allura smiled wider, the poor girl was helpless, desperately seeking into her eyes for help. She was pretty sure that the werewolf was attracted to her, a fairly safe bet at this point. She can take advantage of that, she felt somewhat sorry for her, boys she didn’t really care for, they were loud, annoying and too easily manipulated. Girls she felt sorry for, poor Lucinda was attracted to her, and she wouldn’t ever return it. Not that she was even sure what she was into, she never took time to think of it, but she knew she wasn’t into Lucy.

It was a romance problem however, so it was something juicy, making her want to know more. Gossip on the werewolves wasn’t common, this one kept to herself mostly so it was hard for most to get info on her, they knew she had been awkward with someone but that was about it. Gossip she’d heard about the dog was on what turned her, obviously a werewolf but where and what happened.

She let the wolf girl hold her hand, her right hand went behind to rub the poor things back. “Its alright, hey maybe she meant like, you’re more like family. Who was the girl?” She gave a comforting smile. She may get the answer and that was important, some good gossip to spread and increase her reputation.

Lucinda turned a further shade of red as the girl rubbed at her back, she...missed having some physical comfort, it was relaxing and just...felt nice. She was confusing her! Why can’t she go a day without something happening to her that confused or frustrated her! But it did help her forget the moon...until now. But she can forget it now the topic was….

“D-don’t laugh okay?” She said softly, she needed to talk properly about it with someone, maybe Allura could be good for trying to ask to...no...she didn’t know her well at all! Even less then Zeta and she knew nothing really about her! So that didn’t work properly either for her!

“Just after the last full moon, I asked out Zeta...pepper. And she said that...and now I don’t...What do I do?” She couldn’t meet her eyes again, she was already feeling confused enough by Allura being next to her. Both her hands moved down to rest on her knees as she rested by the comfort.

Aaah, now she knew who. It made sense when you thought about it, as they did put together the return of SAWS. She wouldn’t of done so if she didn’t know a werewolf, so either she knew Greer or Lucinda. And this just confirmed that Lucinda had the hots for girls out of her league. So likely with herself also, flattering but again she wouldn’t repay it for the poor wolf.

But now what was the next thing to ask? There were lots of other questions, getting deets on the attack would be amazing to get, no one else knows so she wants to know. Break the story to the others, she can get so much juicy information from her!

Allura gently removed her hand from the back, with a smaller smile, she rested one hand by her side and one from the back goes ontop of the poor wolf girls head. She started to scratch at it like one would do to a puppy when you were to scratch its ears. “Aaaw, poor puppy. You’re okay, don’t worry.”

Lucinda froze as the head scratching started, it wasn’t...bad...it was odd...She never had anyone treat her that way before. But then the girl said something that made her snap. She wasn’t sure as to why, Perhaps it was due to it sounding condescending to her, or perhaps it was her snapping already under the moons pressure.

She pushed at her as she stood upright, staring down at the girl while a snarl on her face. “Don’t call me that.” She spat down at her, her body tensed and untensed as her fists clenched together. She isn’t a puppy, if anything she is a wolf. But she isn’t going to be talked to like that from a Slytherin. That was all they cared about was purity.

“I am not a puppy, I am not a dog. You got that you dumb skank?” She said with a growl in her tone. She wasn’t scared to fight her, her blood was already pumping at the idea of it, she was ready to fight, she hasn’t found a way to let out her anger well, and with the moon oncoming she was getting very angry.

Allura cried out with an eep as she fell onto her ass on the ground! Her clothes were dirty now! What is this girls problem? She was all mopey and cute and now she was a psycho b- SHE WAS BEING NICE TO HER! Now she was on the ground and being called a skank? Really? She knew werewolves were unstable, she didn’t know they were like this though!

“What is wrong with you dumb mutt?” She spat back at the sociopathic werewolf, she didn’t need this right now, she didn’t need to be attacked by some stupid Gryffindor did she? It took a moment for her to react after landing on the ground but she stood back upright and drew her wand as quickly as she could.

“FLIPENDO!” She drew the wiggly tick and watched at the wolf girl got flown backwards onto the ground. “What the hell is your problem dog? I was being nice to you and you decide to hit me like that? No wonder no likes you, loony lucy.” She snapped back at her.

Lucinda grunted as she landed back on the ground, head colliding with the dirt and hair flying all over the place. Her heart pounded as she laid on the ground for a few seconds, her mind trying to process what had happened before she realized, she had drawn a wand. It was on now.

“You fake little skank. I said not to call me that.” She snarled bitterly as she jumped up to her feet again, quickly firing off several expelliarmus attempts at Allura, her inexperience and speed meant she didn’t get a few off, but it was difficult enough for the also inexperience Allura to even block. Suddenly the wand flew from the blond haired veela’s hand. And not giving her a chance to react she made her next move.

But Lucinda didn’t fire off another spell towards her. Instead she charged headfirst at her, she didn’t want to just fire a spell and leave, instead she wanted something more personal. A spell can be passed off as something else, meanwhile a punch to the face, is a punch in the face. Her fist made intimate contact with Allura’s facial features and sent her spiralling to the floor as she was hit.

And with a spit towards the downed girl, Lucinda took off to head back to the common room, she had enough of people for the day and needed to be somewhere she knew well for if the professors came knocking.

Allura’s head was spinning, she saw the thing rushing at her then...she’s on the ground again, did she cast a spell and take off? Her cheek was sore...and red...and hot. She started to clamber herself off the ground, grabbing her wand on the way up as she looked about for the creature.

Lucinda had managed to escape but...did it really punch her? Was she that feral that she had resorted to physical over magic? She was like a mindless barbarian just resorting to smashing over anything sophisticated. AND SHE SPAT ON HER?

She wiped the spit off her head before doing the same onto the ground to clear her mouth. She was thinking of not telling about her pathetic and failed romance, but now that she had been such a brute and lashed out at nothing she was done being nice to her. She’d make sure it slipped that Lucinda pathetically begged the hufflepuff to date her and the reply banishing her to pretending she’s family to try not to break her heart.

With a groan Allura was done for the day, she wanted to go back to the castle, let slip the gossip of war, strip off and take a long bath. She likely still had chocolate somewhere she could have to relax herself in it. So for now, she headed home...
