Stepping into the classroom, Dajda did her best to not draw attention to herself. She did enjoy Transfiguration, but it was one of the more difficult classes for her, and she did not wish to start the year off on a bad foot in this class, after all she barely made the minimum required marks in this class to return this year. She had only hoped she could remember enough from last year (and the summer of studying she did this last break) to give her better marks this year.
Taking her seat, she looked up to where the Professor stood and sucked in a large breath before slowly releasing it. It was a good exercise to calm her nerves and right now she really needed it. Glancing around the classroom, she noticed that all years were seated in there. It didn't appear that many upper years had decided to take this course, which led Dajda to question of taking a final year in this course was really a wise idea...
"Today we will be discussing the concept of Animagus Transformation. Who can tell me what that is?”
Well, that was easy. At least, she thought it was. Looking around, she noticed that no one raised their hands. Thinking for a moment, she raised her own. "Animagus Transformation isn't anything like Transfiguring someone into an animal, Professor Ramsay, though it is understandable why many would get that confused," Dajda said after the Professor called on her to answer the question. Heavens, she hoped she was answering correctly.
"When transfiguring someone into an Animal, that individual must wait to be transformed back before they become human again," Dajda continued. "They lose human abilities as well... When one masters the art of Animagus, that individual can change to and from an animal or insect at will. They keep their human instincts and senses. Many believe that witches and wizards choose to master Animagus Transfiguration so they will be permitted to do unlawful acts without being recognized, but, of course, that does not apply for all people who can master it. Mastering Animagus Transfiguration is difficult, and there is a very small number of those who are registered as Animagus."
Dajda kept her hand up during her entire answer, and lowered it slowly once she was finished speaking. Maybe that wasn't the answer the professor was looking for, but as far as the Hufflepuff girl could remember, she didn't throw any fantasy-facts in the mix of her answer.
