Rumors make the world go ‘round…

Okay, not really. But news does fly fast, especially the juicy kind. Please use this thread to post any rumors that might be circulating in the halls of Hogwarts! You can post from your character’s point of view or from a non-player-character. If you want to mention how you discovered the rumor, you can!

Many rumors will have some basis in truth, but they can be complete lies as well.

I encourage you all to spread rumors about your own characters too, because it will give us some more ammo- I mean, information about them!

Try to remember to give links to relevant threads or articles when you can!

Note: Though there will be some crossover, this thread should mainly be used for Hogwarts rumors. If you’d like to start a discussion or plot around a rumor, please create a separate thread about it in this board.

Saffron: "Did you hear? Neely Woolfolk and Sasha Schlagenweit are in love! They've been secretly dating for a month now! Shush, though, don't tell anyone I told you..."

Jasper: "Apparently Fauna Blake can't be trusted to handle any sort of alcohol. She's tipsy twenty-four/seven, or so my sources say. My sources are very reliable, mind, so I rather think they're right. But you didn't hear it from me..."

She also says "Oh- Um. And Ainsley was caught in the broom closet with Fleetfoot! True story! I guess she'll finally back off of Charlie Robards now, HUH!?"

Evie says "From what I've heard, Beatrix Dark shops at second-hand muggle stores. But really, how can you dispute that? Have you seen the way she dresses?"

Also, Evie says "My sources have told me that the reason Fauna Blake has so many horrid looking hats is because she's actually a goblin experiment and the hats are to distract from her true form."

Mysti says "Oh Merlin! Have you heard about Bea and Charlie? Apparently they were like, lovers in a past life now to be reunited!"

Devlin "Bea totally shops at thrift shops... but not because she likes the stuff. She can't make enough turning tricks so she has to..."

"Beas hair is pink because in reality she is a graying 30 year old who was so stupid she got held back for this long."

Professor Ramsay and Professor Fleetfoot are "co-teaching" a "joint class" during "off hours" if you "know what I mean".


Figaro's dad's been arrested and will be sent to Azkaban. There goes any chance Figaro has of ever getting a job!

After reading the Latest Skeeter article on the morning of the 31st of October, Sasha was seen hurrying out of the Great Hall.  He did not show up for classes at all that Friday and no one is sure he was at the dance.  (of course, it was hard to tell with all the costumes).  No one saw him in Hogsmeade that weekend and he didn't return to classes the following week and isn't seen in Ravenclaw Tower. 

He doesn't return to the castle at all until towards the end of day on Thursday, November 6th.

(Haha some of this is complete bull just to warn you guys!)


In Runes, Figaro Sellaphix drew a picture of boobs on his tablet and Aileen Reid flipped out at him.

No, actually, both he and Sasha Schlagenweit drew boobs but only Fig got in trouble for it because Aileen doesn’t like him.

Graham Bombay and Demetri Woolfolk are secretly metrosexual and they like to paint each other’s nails late at night.

Fauna Blake and Madeline Pratt were both pulled out of class by Aurors and arrested for the destruction at the Halloween dance.

Aileen Reid used to be married. To Myrni Levartian’s future brother-in-law. And now she’s helping Myrni plan her wedding. Awkward!

Aileen Reid and Isaac Frasier accidentally locked themselves in the staff room (or was it by accident?). Graham Bombay took a picture through the window in the door and wouldn’t let them out. Professor Mainwaring finally had to save them.

SAWS is actually an evil underground organization bent on destroying Hogwarts from the inside. At their meetings, they talk about the properties of fiend fyre and how to make Snark completely lose it. It’s also said the Healer is hiding supplies for them at the hut.

SAWS is supposedly planning an epic food fight on the day before the Holiday Break. The healer is hiding catapults and cherry syrup just for this purpose.

Professor Bombay is really a gnome.  His father's a high-up at Gringotts.

By dinner on Wednesday the 19th, rumors would have spread that both Maddie Pratt and Sasha Schlagenweit were suspended for several weeks. 

Everyone has their own speculation about whether or not Sasha's prefect title has been removed.  Several Slytherins insist they saw Headmistress Snark rip the badge off his robes herself. 

Several other students claim they saw Sasha go running off the school grounds towards Hogsmeade

By Monday the 24th, word has spread that Sasha's whereabouts have been unknown since he left school on the 19th. 

Those friends with Sasha or acquainted with his friends might know that any owls sent to him with messages have returned undelivered.  Some have speculated that one or two owls have turned up missing or dead. 

Professor Storm got kicked out of Durmstrang for anger issues, and now he's here to keep the students from setting more fires.

"Did you hear about Ayla Collins? Third year Huffledork? Well, I heard she's got a crush on my younger brother- Blake- and that she uses charms every morning to make her chest bigger. I have it on good authority from Xavier Tawse- who's been to second base with her- that they're one hundred percent fake... She's definitely starting to get around. I hear she even tried to seduce Professor Fraiser after class one day by enlarging them right in front of him! I heard she tried to sneak into his room that night when it didn't work... Now I'm not the sort to look out for anyone other than numero uno- but you're gonna catch something magic can't get rid of if you try to get anywhere with her."

Notorious flirt Eli Park was spotted with surly Slytherin Erin Harper - and not only were they together, they were kissing. On the corridor floor!
