I was thinking about you today. We restarted SAWS, or at least we tried. Our first meeting was today and calling it a complete disaster is putting it mildly. It was so much easier when you were running things. You and Sophie and even Matty. Zeta and I tried but it feels like we really failed, like there is no way anyone could have failed this badly in the history of forever.

There's some new werewolves at school and it should have been the perfect time to bring SAWS to the forefront. We needed to stand together and make sure the new werewolves knew that they were safe and there were people that cared about them and somehow it all got turned upside down.

I say somehow but really it all this ridiculous Slytherin's fault (like could it be anything else?) He was just so rude and pompous and horrible about everything and completely tried to take over the whole meeting while making everything worse. He had some good ideas and I think his heart was in the right place it's just, Everytime he opened his mouth the wrong thing came out.

And oh my Merlin, Fauna I swear there's something wrong with me.

Like fundamentally broken inside me cause Holy Helga I think the guy is cute.

You'd think I'd have learned my lesson by now! Slytherins are nothing but trouble especially cute Slytherin boys. I'm finally free of Xavier and I still haven't figured out how I feel about Alistair and now this!

Like I shouldn't even be thinking of guys right now! I should be thinking about damage control and how to make our next meeting, if anyone even shows up, so much better than this one.

I miss you so much. I wish you could be here to help us with this one.

I've missed you too, so much! I smiled when I saw your name on the owl. Sorry it's been a few days delay... it has been a DAY here at the Ministry. A week? A day and a week.

Oh it's the weekend! Anyway.

I'm sorry that the first SAWS meeting didn't go as well as you'd hoped. Don't be too hard on yourself. Remember the Halloween dance when someone tried to sabotage us by spiking the punch? It kills me that I still don't know who.[1] It wasn't easy, and we made mistakes, and when I was there, our goal was mostly to let werewolves attend Hogwarts, and they weren't there to speak for themselves or really represent themselves. Now that they are attending, and visible around school, there are other students who won't like that and who will be more vocal. Or just students who won't know how to act respectfully. You tried your best and you stood up and helped Zeta in the first place, you know? That's important. That in itself shows you care.

It sounds like a lot of the shite came from one person? Or was it more than one? I hope it was just one. I mean, if it is, it could just be a matter of telling him to stay away until he's figured out how not to be an arse.

Which is difficult for Slytherins.

They do become nicer when they graduate! Some of them. Sometimes. To some people. If they tried to be nice to everyone I think they'd self-combust.

People grow up, even Slytherins. Maybe that's what you're seeing? The chance for someone to be better. You're not broken. You're kindhearted, and you see the potential in everyone, and I've been in your shoes, Ayla (remember how long it took me to break up with Devlin? Not a Slytherin but still).

That doesn't excuse his behavior, and it doesn't mean that it's up to you to help him. Do as Slytherins evolved Hufflepuffs do and put yourself first. You can always walk away, and I'm always here to listen.

Got to run, but tell me about class and Quidditch and I hope you haven't got the measles (I do! I'm so sick of it! I need more soup).

I have actually done it this time, I have officially lost my mind!

Have you ever been in a situation where you were like I totally got this then it turns out you definitely don't have it but you're in too deep and you can't back down and things just got worse and worse?!

(I'm not talking about SAWS, I think we may actually have that under control, well Zeta does, she's got a lot of good ideas that we can work on going forward and she may be able to pull it off)

Remember the guy I was telling you about? I really messed up.
