Lucinda replied sensibly. Ravindar was glad. She could be very sarcastic. Sarcasm did not help her. It did not make adults want to help. Ravindar did his best to look beyond it.

"A safe place." He said. "Safe for you and safe for those around you." Lucinda did not need to get out of her transformation cell. "The Ministry requires your place of transformation to be registered and inspected.[1] Just as the Headmaster's is. But you will not be alone in your transformation after Christmas..." Professor Singh paused. He pondered if Lucinda did realize she and Grier would need to both be safe at full moon. Keeping them close did make sense. "I will speak to Professor Greyfriar on it. But I make no promises Lucinda." On the other hand safe houses were put far from people on purpose...

"Now." Said Professor Singh. He got to his feet. "Is it time for your statues to become an army?"

All she needed to do was win the lottery, then Lucinda could get a fancy mansion for herself, hire some house elves as employees with nice little wages, and then she could have her own private wing of the mansion she can use only for transformations. Make it dramatic, add a red rose in a jar for some passion. If it goes well she will never have to worry about work. Wouldn't life be easier...

Shrieking Shack will do, but like the lottery she doubted she'd get that either. Ugh and if it wasn't annoying enough having to hand over items then retrieve them in a line, after Christmas she'll have to look after someone else while there, Greer is younger right? Yeah she'll have to make sure she doesn't get lost in a crowd of moody people and make sure she got her wand, tie up her shoelaces and pack her lunch before going back.

This was going to get worse before it got better.

She looked over the built snow people and nodded, she supposed they could work for now, not as many as she'd like but same time building a thousand snowmen would be difficult in a day without enchanting them.

With a nod she sighed. "What spell are you going to use?"

"Any guesses?" Asked Professor Singh. Every chance to learn for Gryffindor. "What have we?" Professor Singh scooped up a handful of snow. "What do we want to transform it to?" He stopped to let Lucinda think. She was intelligent when she put her mind to work.

"If we wanted to make more we may try nive verto statua." Professor Singh pointed his wand down at the snow. Tip down. He quickly twisted his wand. He spoke the incantation. He rotated his wand up. He kept lifting his arm. Under the tip of his wand the snow began to move. Like a little tornado it grew into a figure.

"But an army can only march on order." Professor Singh said. He looked at Lucinda to confirm. "Nivestatua locomotor!"

Snow statues did not have the best of legs. So the army began to shuffle forwards!

They were coming alive! ITS ALIVE! But what to make them do? That was a good question, in all honesty she was set on an army as what do you call a large group of snow people? Although she didn't get that many done in the end so there was that aspect, and she was feeling pretty cold now for once. So she didn't have it too much in her to continue building more and creating a snowy re-enactment of the battle of hogwarts.

What they could do though, and add a nice sight for anyone going through, and herself for today. She knew a spell for making things move but she's not done great with it, preferring more practical, like making herself be able to dress with magic, although so far she could make them fly on, appearing on always was a little tight. Its just easier without magic she figures.

"We could make them dance, be a nice sight and be good until the sun comes out...if it ever comes out." Sun was rare in England, let alone Scotland where snow is an actual thing that happens...occasionally. But regardless, it would be a nice sight.

"Dance?" Asked Professor Singh. "A fine idea." He lowered his head to Lucinda. "One you know how to do." He smiled wisely at her. The Professor gestured to her to cast magic. The snow people were now encircling her. Still shuffling slowly. Like expectant children. "If only they had legs."[1] The fourth years had studied that yet. "Concresco cruris!" Professor Singh cast. The snow people lifted on legs. The snow sparkled.
 1. i could not find one so i found: crur, cruris : leg, shank, shin, also foot and concresco : to take form, grow strong.

She did know one spell for dancing, it would make them all dance separately but they would dance, which was off her idea of ballroom dancing but hey, it still worked didn't it? Just wasn't fancy, a pretty good story of her life. It works but it isn't good.

She supposed she should be more positive but it was her birthday, she was allowed to be mopey during it when her parents all but ignored her and her family sent hate, or inappropriate gifts. And of course the only people she knew were all gone. She was allowed a bit of mopeyness.

"Tarantallegra." She said clearly as she drew the bad M shape, unfortunately she knew the spell but really, never used it. How often would you need it? And it only affected one person, she'd have to do it several times now.

All about them the snow people danced. Lucinda's spell gave the beat. Professor Singh's the legs. Right about now would be a good time to say Gryffindor made the best teams. But it was cheesy. Professor Singh knew that even if his smile was buried in his long beard it would be seen.

"Happy birthday." He said. Pointing his wand to the air. Snow began to fall again.
