Physical Description:
Savvina was once filled out, healthy, and happy, but has slowly become a shadow of herself since becoming a werewolf. Life has been hard on her and shows in the lines on her face and the thinness of her hands. When she smiles, which is rarely now, she lights up and her dark brown eyes sparkle with the memories of her past. She has long curly black hair that falls heavily on her shoulders. She’s 5’4” and has olive skin.


Personality Description:
Hardened, skittish, cynical, self-sacrificing. Savvina has been on the run for so long, she’s forgotten what it feels like to be truly content. But despite it all, her sly wit and winks are in there somewhere. Her emotional reactions have dulled over time, and if ever, are expressed blankly. She trusts rarely, but pretends she does. She’s a hard worker, always has been, and is smarter than she’s given credit for.

Savvina will care for others when she can spare it, but is mostly occupied with getting by. She keeps a dog, a short-coated gold mutt with a black muzzle and ears. She calls him simply Skýlos.


History:
Savvina’s parents left Cyprus before she was born during the 1974 Turkish invasion. They emigrated to Greece where Savvina was born, then to Lebanon, then to Israel. Her father was following the work. Both her parents were mages. Savvina was happy and precocious and learned early how to get along in new places with new people. She was quick with learning local languages and as she grew older she wanted to be a translator for the International Confederation of Wizards.

She attended Biet Gaddol magical in Israel and took classes in Gobbledegook and Centaur dialects. Savvina was part of house Gabbor and made many friends. While she was in school, her father had a sudden heart attack and died. Savvina left school during her final year and she and her mother moved closer to family in Greece.

In Greece she was attacked by a werewolf and contracted the curse. She was disowned by her family and things began to fall apart. She began moving through Europe, doing her best to find Wolfsbane Potion when she could, and lock herself up when she transformed. She made it to Brussels, the seat of the ICW, determined to follow her dream, but her status as a werewolf, her employment gaps, poverty, and not having finished school all prevented her from getting far.

Hearing that things were better in England, she came across the chanel in June 2011. Things seemed to be going better. Still unable to establish steady employment and housing, but came upon an underground community of other banished werewolves who helped her acquire Wolfsbane Potion and sneak her into safe houses under assumed names. Among those who gave her aid was Knox Greyfriar.

In December 2011, she was kidnapped by Cinead Tawse and set loose at the London Zoo ambush, where she was detained by the werewolf capture unit.


Describe your job duties and how you go about them:
Savvina is getting by in London by taking odd jobs, the kind that don’t require a lot of paperwork. She doesn’t have a permanent address, family, or documentation and so is terrified of registering with the Werewolf office. It could mean moving on again, losing what little ground she’d made. Her only other option, she feels, would be Canada or the US.

She’s worked as a housekeeper, custodian, dishwasher, security guard, owl keeper to name a few. Often she loses the job when she’s absent on the full moon, other times because she was too ill to work.


Elaborate on your expertise in your field:
Savvina knows several languages fluently and would love to be a translator, but she can’t seem to get her feet under her.

Savvina Katopodis used to have dreams but becoming a werewolf has cast her into hardship. Under the stress, she’s a survivor, educated, witty, hopeful, and ambitious. She’s brave and a hardworker, but despite it all isolation and poverty have dug her a hole she can’t climb out of.
