Physical Description:
Alistair possesses the blonde hair all the Fawley's have, and to his constant annoyance his is curly and has a mind of it's own. Alistair spends a good deal of time every morning casting charm after charm and even using muggle styling gel just to get it to sit still and is constantly envious of other people's straight hair, though he'd rather jump of a cliff than admit it.
Alistair has greyish green eyes, not noticeably bright or vivid, though if you catch them in the right light they can seem to glow. He is fair skinned, with full lips and is 5'11 roughly.
Style wise, Alistair takes after his parents in that he prefers to play it safe, with block colours and clean cuts. He has a preference for dark colours in particular as stains don't show up as much and when you're an auror, well things can get messy.
Personality Description:
Alistair's a no nonsense, straight forward young man with a plan for everything and a backup plan for every plan. Calm and composed in the face of chaos, he's good at his job. But that's not enough for Alistair. Having grown up in a household filled with high expectations, Alistair struggles with even the slightest of failures and can't help but feel a nasty bit of jealousy every time someone else succeeds. This can make Alistair quite uptight at times, he's definitely a workaholic at least. You will often find him staying late at work, and he seems to have a second sense for when anybody is even slightly in need of someone to help out, always trying to find something extra to do within the ministry to make him stand out just that little bit more.
Despite this, Alistair finds he doesn't actually have some big goal he's working towards. When asked what he wants, he'll of course say a promotion, but if he were to be honest to herself, she just doesn't know. He's only pursuing the path of an auror because that's what his parents wanted- if anything the only thing Alistair knows that he wants is to make his parents proud.
Alistair is a bit socially awkward. Brought up by a bit of a snob of a father, he can at times be judgemental and is especially sniffy towards the lazy or the incompetent( unless they acknowledge their incompetence and actively seek to improve of course). Alistair has difficulties dealing with people in general, he just doesn't share their sense of humour or ability to let loose and have fun. Not that he doesn't try.
Usually Alistair remains quite quiet, in particular at work where he is very on edge. He feels out of place in a leadership role, but knows that his parents expect him to take up many and so has become very adept at hiding that. In fact over the years it has become that people assume being in charge is what he prefers due to a mixture of his father's reputation as a natural born leader, him literally always having a plan and his lack of protest/obvious nerves.
Generally Alistair is quite kind, even if that wasn't something his parents focused much on when raising him, and has a soft spot for kids and people who ask him to help them. He's very good at telling when someone is upset and always does his best to help them, though he often doesn't really know what to do. Alistair's always had a thirst to learn and loves to try new things.
Of course drunk!Alistair is very different, a social butterfly and a massive flirt.
History:
The eldest son to Alfred Fawley and Margaret Fawley, Alistair was always expected to go far. Growing up, he said his first word early, took his first steps early, showed signs of magic early and so was automatically labelled as a 'special child'. And Alistair believed it. He was smarter than the other children after all. While they drew their stick figures and learnt their five times table, he was working his way through fractions and algebra, eating it up in thirst to learn.
Alistair was the eldest of three, and when he was three, his younger sister Harriet was born. Two years later and along came baby Adam. Alistair looked upon his younger siblings as apprentices, his own little students who he could wow with his superior knowledge. When they were younger, the three of them were quite close, though once Harriet and Adam grew a little older, they naturally grew apart.
Entering Hogwarts, Alistair was sorted into Ravenclaw (after the hat's debate about whether Ravenclaw, Slytherin or Hufflepuff was a better fit). At school he continued to shine, with a sparkly clean rep and straight Os. He joined various clubs, became prefect, got all Os in his owls, became headboy and then got all Os in his NEWTs (DADA, potions, charms, transfiguration, arithmacy).
Alistair was one of the students to stay back and fight in the wizarding war. He was lucky enough to survive, though seeing so many die gave Alistair a new appreciation for his family and in his seventh year he made an effort to grow closer with them once more.
Going into the ministry as an auror trainee, Alistair found that suddenly things got a lot harder, but he rose to the challenge. Working day and night, Alistair developed a reputation as trustworthy and reliable, albeit uptight. In comparison to the massive egos of most of the other aurors, he is much easier to work with, so has become a favourite for when departments have to work together.
Alistair moved out of the Fawley manor to a flat in London, his parents providing him with money whenever needed, the salary of an auror trainee being little to none. The apartment isn't anything special, not particularly large but not particularly small, yet Alistair loves it. He lives there alone with no pets, not having the time to care for them. The flat is Alistair's safe haven away from the stress of the Fawley clan.
Alistair's parents were delighted when he passed his training, but it was around then that Alistair realised that being an auror, although a noble job and all that, gave him no sense of joy or satisfaction. Alistair didn't know what he wanted to do with his life.
But Alistair didn't say anything about this to anyone and just continued along, but now as a fully qualified auror.
When Alistair's aunt and uncle, Sabrina and Aaron Carson, divorced, he reached out to his cousins Oliver and Vanessa.Oh so lucky Alistair got to listen to both siblings complain, but only apart as Oliver and Vanessa had been arguing. Alistair did his best to help, but he wasn't much use.
Describe your job duties and how you go about them:
An auror's official job is to enforce the law but with that comes protecting the wizarding world and of course, paperwork. Alistair remains one of the few aurors not to shy away from the horrors of writing, though he would be lying if he said he found it fun. Then again, the life of an auror isn't exactly fun for him anyway, despite its fast pace.
Elaborate on your expertise in your field:
Alistair finished his three years of auror training back when he was 21 and has since continued to put an obscene amount of effort and time into his job, but now as a fully qualified auror. With a million plans and 5 0 Newts under his belt, he's definitely up for the job.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:
A level headed, prepared and highly intelligent young man, Alistair makes an excellent auror. It's a shame that's not what he wants to do with his life. As of right now, Alistair has no idea what he wants to do actually, but he does know that this isn't it. Still, it doesn't look like Alistair shall be trying anything new any time soon, what with his father still having a tight grip of him, despite no longer living with him.
