Re: [Dec 3] The Naked Truth Reply #15 on April 13, 2019, 09:08:09 PM "I don't know," Kelvin shrugged, "I get the general gist of what to do with a guy." Few of his friends had ever been as shy as he was. An both his father and his brother had given him very different sex talks when he had come out. And none of that would keep his face from turning as red as it was turning from just discussing it. "But actually doing it, I just don't. No, couldn't do it."Of course once Zeta picked up one of his sticks of charcoal he should have known that she wasn't going to help his drawing. That would have been like expecting Connor to read a book he picked up. And it wasn't even a good mustache. He started to reach for an eraser, but changed his mind and picked up his wand instead. He pointed it at the mustache, "Transferre[1]," flicked his wrist at Zeta's drawing, and an exact copy of her addition to his work showed up on her's. "Now we match," Kelvin said with a satisfied smirk, "Kinda." The mustache was on the chest of Zeta's figure. " 1. One of the model's shadowy breasts was now adorned! She looked back and forth between her classmate and their easels, both of them defaced. "You cheeky bugger!" she gasped. Kevlin Watkins had staged a counter-prank. What alignment of the stars was responsible!? Not to be outdone, Zeta bit her lip and flicked her wand. "Transferre," and she flung a third copy of the mustache off the page and at Kelvin's head. She'd never tried the spell that way - it had always been for notes - but it was a risk she was willing to take. "I can't...Fine you win. No more." He said laughing in faux outrage. He looked back toward the center of the room only to see the teacher standing in front of his work staring at them both."I...um...sorry-we're sorry." His cheeks turned bright red from shame. Kelvin was mortified. Nudity didn't hold a torch to teacher disapproval."While I try to keep these classes light and fun, your behavior is not conducive to everyone else's art." She looked at his forehead, which he could only imagine how much charcoal was there, and continued sarcastically, "Body painting classes are on the 3rd Saturday every other month, until then, stick to paper.""Truly, we're sorry. We just-ah-got carried away." Kelvin turned to glare at Zeta. How did he keep getting into these messes? Skip to next post Re: [Dec 3] The Naked Truth Reply #18 on April 22, 2019, 05:00:23 PM Zeta straightened up as an authority figure loomed over them and meted out disadulations, but unlike Kelvin she didn't make more than a cursory attempt to stifle her irreverent grin. I mean, come on! Kel looked like he'd faceplanted into an unlit fireplace - his face as literally an art. "Actually, no, we're not sorry," Zeta said glancing at Kelvin. "We're, erm, engaging in collaborative ... multi-media ... mark-making. It's an exploration of gender expression through ... mustaches. Yes! Exactly. We are creating within the intersection of muggle and magical tools in a community space!"It didn't take more than a few flippant bullshitteries fo Zeta to nearly convince herself she wasn't just goofing off. It was much more fun to take a principled stand. She moved her arms around in an invisible diagram, looking at Kelvin to get on board. "The juxtaposition of the mustache across three canvases really, erm, examines the normative nature of who can have a handlebar mustache and I honestly thought Puddifoot's would be more open-minded. I mean, shouldn't we all be concerned with the creative freedom of young people in this economic climate? With the Galleon as it is right now, and Dementors, if we Puddifoot's can't allow a mustache on -- ow!"The instructor was clearly not interested in Zeta's faux art-school praxis theory. With a wand-flick she must have learned in the Auror Corps, she cast a spell that made Zeta jump up from her chair. "Aren't we the enlightened little rabble-rouser. I don't think so. You too, Mr. Smudge. Up and out." And then Zeta just kept going. And going. And going. He glared at Zeta, but it didn't seem to do anything. "Just stop," he whispered to no avail. Whatever embarrassment he felt from having the teacher come over in the first place was a candle to the bonfire–no to the forest fire of embarrassment he felt now. He was doing his best to hide behind his work and watched as the teacher finally cut Zeta off with a curse that made her jump. He couldn't say Zeta didn't deserve it, but that didn't mean the lady should have done it."Hey. That's–" She turned to him and kicked them both out. "What, wait, we paid for our time as much as anyone else." Maybe Zeta deserved a silencing charm, but they both didn't deserve to get kicked out. With another flick of the teacher's wand, Kelvin was jumping up and rubbing his backside too. "You can't do that." He pulled his wand out and pointed it at the woman. He wasn't about to cast anything at her, but he wasn't going to let her cast anything at him either. Anger was quickly pushing out his embarrassment. Though the scene they were causing was likely to haunt him for weeks. Calibrate!" she squeaked.Zeta quickly reached out and firmly pressed Kelvin's arm down so his wand wasn't pointed directly at the teacher. It was rumored that Zeta knew when too much was enough and she was demonstrating the skill now - words were one thing, wands were another. Her bum still stung, but if Kelvin popped off a spell at the batty old lady, they'd get banned from Puddifoot's and someone was bound to owl the school. She hastily grabbed her things and Kelvin's too, and tugged at his sleeve. "Let's go. This place is bougie anyway," she said more to the teacher than to Kelvin. They were leaving but not because she was kicking them out. He turned and glared at her for a moment before letting her pull him along behind her. "I wasn't going to do anything. I just wasn't going to let her do anything else."He stashed his wand back in his pocket and moved past Zeta, slamming into the door making it crash loudly against the wall. "I can't believe she kicked us out. She's not allowed to hex people either. I'm reporting her." Skip to next post Re: [Dec 3] The Naked Truth Reply #22 on May 15, 2019, 11:56:27 AM Out in the street, Zeta shoved her hands into her armpits and stared at Kelvin with incredulous pride. She was stunned that Kelvin was whipping out wands at adults. She'd totally misjudged him. I mean, he was a principled person and never let her cheat off his homework, but apparently those values extended to defending himself from overzealous nitpicky art teachers. She barely heard him. She put her fingers to her head and made an explody gesture. "That was insane! Who are you, even!"Zeta was grinning from ear to ear, kind of wishing she'd been so bold. That lady was so stuffy and old. She shook her head."Who would you report her to, though? Aurors?" she laughed, trying to imagine that. Her tush still stung a little. Skip to next post Re: [Dec 3] The Naked Truth Reply #23 on June 01, 2019, 09:58:00 AM Kelvin glared back at the building. He hated when people with a little bit of power abused it. Or at least by his estimation abused it. It wasn't fair. It wasn't right. And..."That was insane! Who are you, even!""What? What are you talking about? I'm Kelvin."That wasn't insane. Going to a nude drawing class was insane. Getting kicked out was insane. He'd been perfectly reasonable. He was just going to stop the teacher...no she didn't deserve to be called a teacher...the woman from hexing either of them again."Her boss. Everyone works for someone. Or the MLE, and if not them then they will tell me who." Skip to next post Re: [Dec 3] The Naked Truth Reply #24 on June 06, 2019, 10:38:49 PM Kelvin didn't seem happy. In fact, he seemed even more put out than when the model had dropped her robe. Zeta crossed her arms and looked at him with that same impressed smile."Kellykins, secret badass," she said shaking her head. Wait until everybody heard. Normally, Zeta didn't go in for tattling, but somehow taking that witch to account seemed on par with any manner of principled stands against censorship. Getting the boot over a mustache? Tantamount to book burning! "Let's do it," she decided. She bounced in the cold. "Let's make her pay. Have you got connections in high places? Who do we owl?" Skip to next post
