Physical Description:
Dante has a pair of large brown eyes that have become instrumental in getting what he wants. His head is covered with a mop of shaggy brown hair that is almost never neat. It flops over his eyes and ears and leaves him looking decidedly bedraggled. Being from a white British father and a Mexican mother, Dante is olive skinned.

With his father’s genes, Dante is taller than average 12 year olds and he is still growing. He has the build of a boy who is growing in height too quickly for the rest of him to catch up and fill out. His school uniform quickly becomes too short. In his spare time, Dante dresses smartly. He likes polo shirts and jeans or jumpers.


Personality Description:
With a dream of becoming the Minister for Magic in the future, Dante is obsessed with doing extremely well at school, he works hard to befriend everyone, and he is highly logical. He is desperate to succeed and become rather stressed if he doesn’t. Having grown up faced with the difficulties presented to him and his mother, Dante has matured extremely quickly. He has seen what he doesn’t want his life to be like, and has a keen idea of how to improve it. He is decidedly driven but not to the point that it will forsake his friendships. His need to make and keep friends, however, has left Dante to do rather silly and naughty things, landing himself in trouble.

Growing up with only his mother, Dante’s maturity has left him to look out for her more than most young sons might. He cares for his family but he doesn’t want to become anything like either of his parents.

Dante is loyal to his friends and can become overly excited and silly just like any 12-year-old boy. He loves Quidditch, history of magic and brewing experimental potions.

Despite wanting to be a friend to most people, Dante has struggled with bullying in the past. Due to the very public role his mother has as the editor of Witch Weekly, and his father’s imprisoning, Dante has been victim to some very harsh attitudes from both his fellow students, and members of the public. Regardless of his mother trying to teach him to be calm, Dante finds that he struggles to control his anger. As such, he’s been in regular trouble for duelling and fighting with his peers.

History:
Dante García was supposed to be a boy born to a loving and happy mother and father. He’d been conceived by a hardworking auror and his wife, a witch who wrote for the Daily Prophet. He’d been conceived in the middle of the second wizarding war. He was born after the war to the witch who still wrote for the Daily Prophet but whose husband was now serving a life sentence in Azkaban for crimes committed as a Death Eater. Dante was therefore born as the son of Leo Gamp, Death Eater. He was raised by the witch whom everyone thought had helped her husband and supported him to commit his crimes.

From an early age, Dante had sensed a certain tension, and he’d felt most unwelcome unless around family. He was 4 when he started asking questions about why he didn’t have a father. He was 7 when his mother was finally honest with him yet he still didn’t truly understand.

It wasn’t until he arrived at Hogwarts that Dante really learned to understand what had happened in the year preceding his birth. While most children may have shied away from those lessons in History of Magic, Dante had become fascinated by it, quite adamant on preventing such things from recurring.

In his first year, Dante threw himself into everything to do with school. He joined every club that he could and found himself not wanting to come home for the holidays. School meant fun and friends and knowledge. Home meant the flat above Witch Weekly with a mother who would rather be out drinking and socialising than staying in with him.

Ravenclaws are known to have a thirst for knowledge. Dante is eager to soak in every last drop of knowledge he can gain from his classes. He will then go away and spend hours in the library to learn more. He is a clever and dedicated child whose idea of a nightmare is to gain an Exceed Expectations in an assignment.
