An owl arrives at the Ministry of Magic bearing the medallion of the Daily Prophet. Not even a week had passed since the small conflagration at the Witch Weekly.[1] The Daily Prophet had been made aware of the row by none other than The Witch Weekly's Worst. Cuffe, smelling a story, had deployed Niobe to suss out any stink.

Someone from Witch Weekly contact us and we're not really keen on letting them have the last say, especially with their recent journalistic slips showing. It'd be helpful to get your side of things.

A letter arrives. It is written on Level four stationery, smelling of tea leaves and a very old fashioned perfume.

No need to be afraid; I can take no for an answer.

Perhaps you can help me with another matter: a source on Level Two informed me that you arranged bail for Mr. Spectre on 24 Sept. Can you tell me who supplied the amount, and how much it was? I could go through Records, but they aren't as efficient as you all on Four.

Your source on level two is correct.

Mr. Spectre's bail amounted to the standard DMLE fee for private individuals involved in hex related disturbances. It was satisfied through one of his personal funds, to which I have access.
